Awesome , what else can i say ...
Oh and here's a lil bonus for those that are curious about the choice of the title ...
" Dog Days can also define a time period or event that is very hot or stagnant, or marked by dull lack of progress. "
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_Days
'Lack of progress' , i'm guessing that's referencing to Kane and Lynch's journey to salvation ... in other words , a even more depressing story than in 'Dead Men' (by the way , notice that both titles , 'Dead Men' and 'Dog Days' contains each seven letters , hell of a coincidence ...)
Awesome , just awesome ... (yes i'm obviously too excited) ...
*still praying for that Fall 2009 release date* ...

Dog Days may also be a reference to the film Dog Day Afternoon, which the developers stated was a source of inspiration for the first game.

Whoa ,did they ? i didn't knew that ,only knew they said they got some inspirations from Unforgiven ,Scarface ,then there was another which i forgot ,but yeah Dog Day Afternoon suits the game's tone ...
I remember they also gathered some inspirations from the stories they heard in some bar ,where people would talk about the mistakes and regrets in their life , but that's another story ...
'Dog Days' in the game could simply refer to the years where Kane worked with the Seven , and/or perhaps enlighten us on the relationship the Seven had with Lynch , making the game as a prequel , or half prequel and half sequel if the true ending is the Chopper Escape one ...
Anywya i'm still excited about the title , people had thought it would be called something like 'Marked Men' or 'Vengeful Men' or some other generic title , but whoa , IO Interactive sure knows how to make titles that just Stands Out from the other games (hell , even 'Mini Ninjas' just stands out from other game titles) ...
I've been hoping for more news for the KL sequel. While this hasn't been confirmed, it's pretty promising. I like the sub-title 'Dog Days'. It's weird, but I dig it. I hope we can see some screenshots, videos, or premise soon. I'd rather it were a sequel than a prequel, but maybe some flashback missions wouldn't go amiss. Also... no more jungle please. :D

Arsh is that you ?...
Of course it must be ,there's no two people in this world who'll call himself Arsh ,especially on a Kane and Lynch community ...
Anywya back on topic...
Well i surely hope that IO Interactive understood that we largely prefer seeing our two protagonnist making a killing spree in a city than doing some guerrilla/infiltration stuff in a jungle ("S#*t ! I hate all this walking !" That line from Lynch still cracks me up)...
But that said ,the jungle suited Dead Men's theme about the descent into hell ,in which how Kane slowly begins to loose control of his calm and gives in to his hatred and desire of revenge against the Seven ,then in the end Kane realises how it was mainly his fault why 'this is all happening',and as Lynch tells him to deal with his mistakes ,they drift on a small boat away from the heart of darkness...
So unless the locale of a amazon matches Dog Days storyline ,yeah ,IO Interactive better drop it...
A mission in a park in a quiet shiny sunday afternoon would be nice...

I hope it's a sequel, not a prequel, i dont think it will be a prequel anyway, because Kane and Lynch meet in the first game, to split them up would screw with the games dynamic. its Kane and Lynch not Kane/Lynch. I didn't mind the jungle missions either i thought they were quite cool. but all is speculation at this point, what we need now is some screenshots or dare i say ...a trailer.

Well, it's much easier to make a prequel rather than sequel.
After what Kane with Lynch did in Dead Men, they have nothing to do in a sequel, except escaping from police.
gnrGrievous
07-16-2009, 05:55 AM
Depends on the ending ...
If the canon ending is the Helicopter escape they'll make a half-prequel (dealing with Kane's flashbacks of his mercenary days) and half sequel (it'll begin with Lynch going rambo in the village trying to save Shelly and Rific , and the story will continue with him trying to find Kane , and this time probably , kill him) ...
If the canon ending is the Consequence one , well ... pretty much Kane & Lynch running away from the law ... Or there can be a twist , like if the first half of the story is the basic cop chasing criminals , but then the second half of the story starts when the FBI catches Lynch and Kane , but offers them a deal instead of sending them to jail for execution , the deal will consist of eliminating 'dangerous' targets for the FBI , making our duo mercenaries again ... mercenaries of the government that is ...
Of course , all is just speculations from excited fans ...

A side note to Dr Klowneus...(Contains Co-op Mode Spoilers)
After playing as Lynch in the co-op mode of Dead Men i can pretty much guarantee that Kane and Lynch actually knew each other...
In fact i even suspect that Lynch is the one who made that infamous Venezuela incident the one which made Kane as a Traitor to the Seven...
It's all in the 'last thought' moments, for some reason we can hear Kane's voice in almost every of Lynch's flashback, and since none of them comes from Dead Men's script,it's safe to bet that it's from the past, therefor,Kane and Lynch knew each other, hell, they worked together...
Ok,sure, why do they act like total strangers then ?...
Well if we're to rely on the flashbacks...Amnesia,it's classic but it works, this is all my theories so it could be wrong but one of the flashback hints at Lynch not responding to Kane's call on a radio, what i'm guessing is that he somehow blacked out after Venezuela, lost his memory, and Kane probably keept the truth to himself ...
Dr Klowneus
07-16-2009, 07:23 PM
Ok the idea that they hunt high profile cases for the government FBI/CIA is a good one
I think undoubtedly the canon ending is considered the consequence one where Kane and Lynch escape on the boat
I thought Lynch's flashbacks- upon needing adrenaline, were his thoughts upon killing his wife, at least from what i remember
There's plenty of things for K & L to do in a sequel,
consider:
:cool:things like foreign governments and there agencies willing to hire some vicious "dogs" to do their "dirty work"
:cool:The game left of in south america, a continent rife with kidnappings, drug lords, corrupt politicians, etc so i don't think they'll be out of work
:cool:I'm sure a guy like Kane has more enemies out there in the world
:cool:They're going to need money, heists etc
:cool:Tharpa and Shelley are still alive
I really cant see a way a prequel would be coherent, it would seperate Kane and Lynch and ruin the duo road movie feel of the game
Yes let the speculation continue, i wanna know what everyone thinks:scratch:

Yes , let the waves of fan theories revive the fan base ! ...
Oh by the way ...
Shelly dies actually ...
It wasn't explicitly stated but in the end of Consequence when you see him get into a boat , you'll see that the boat explodes just as he enters it ...
I doubt it was a coincidence , seeing as Shelly was the one 'who has found god' , it's a nice irony to see how his ungrateful attitude to Kane turns out to be , Death ...
Tharpa is still out in the wild though ...
And another thing , you all know about Max Payne 3 right ? ...
Let's pray for something better ...

gnrGrievous
07-21-2009, 04:23 PM
Well seeing as we probably won't be getting any Official News for some time i'm gonna post some more ridiculous ideas ...
For Single Player
I. More depth into Lynch's psychotic hallucinations : in Dead Men when you play as Lynch in co-op you can 'trigger' his psychotic vision , however the result is just ... well how do we say , weak ? i mean civilians who looks like cops with a pig head and a sub machine gun is cool , but , they just stand there in the corner , presenting no sign of 'threat' , there was no reason to kill them really ... which is why i hope here in Dog Days they can at least make these pig headed civilians to , i don't know , make sudden moves for example ? hell trying to jump on you will work too ... just gives us reason to have us blasting them away with a shotgun ...
II. A Statistic Screen ... i know it's basically useless , but it'll be a lil nice addition if IO put a statistic screen in their games , showing the your total play time , number of people you killed , etc ...
III. Ok this one deals more about the marketing of the game rather than the game itself , but still ... Preview Less , Surprise Us More ... seriously , if you look at Dead Men , Nine of its Sixteen levels were revealed in the game's many Previews and such , Oh , sure , we just didn't had to 'look at the previews' , but seriously that's still not a reason to spoil so much content months before the game's ever released , most of Dead Men's key scenes were given away to the media (the bustout , the bank massacre , the night club , the Retomoto tower for example) and many important plot points were also spoiled , even in the game's manual ! (example , the details of the infamous incident in Venezuela was in the game given out in different levels , this was how the game's background story was suppose to be unveiled , pieces by pieces , one line of dialogue here , another one there , making a sense of progression in uncoverring information , however for those who read the previews or even in the game's manual knew right from the start why the Seven wanted to kill Kane , which is a shame , because the game handled the sense of mystery pretty well , same thing goes for Lynch's wife , we weren't suppose to know about her existence until halfway throughout the game) ... So either they preview something like Eight levels out of Twenty Four (which is already alot) , Or , they preview the game one month before its release (for example , imagine , just imagine if Dog Days were to be released in this September , the marketing can begin in August , show a couple levels here and there , and in less than thirty days the game is out , that would have been awesome) ...
IV. A long time ago i had this idea of IO making us the option to play through the game as either Lynch or Kane , kind of like for what Techland did for the recently released Call of Juarez Bound in Blood ... However , the twist here is that instead of just making a few gameplay differences like one character does this the other does that , how about just make a Third Person Shooter for Kane and a First Person Shooter for Lynch ? That'll give most people a good reason to play the game twice , it's the same levels , but the strategy is bound to be completely different ...
V. Remember in Hitman Blood Money you had a hideout which acted as hub for testing your weapons (and shooting at rats) ? well what if in Dog Days after each mission you have this little safe house which grants you the ability to watch the news and look at the reports on your recent bank job for example , or just make it a place where you can 'relax' for a little while before and after you make some huge killing spree ... everybody's got to rest once in a while ... of course , later in the game there can be a moment where out of expectations you get ambushed in your safe house and you have to repel the attackers before making an escape ...
For Multiplayer
VI. My experience playing fragile alliance showed me that it was quite hard to pull off a good heist when there's always three people in your group that just want's to play a deathmatch , so i assume if the game had a multiplayer mode made just for the deathmatches , then those who wants to pull off heists can do it without any trouble ...
VII. No Trophies/Achievements for the multiplayer ... seriously who likes the trophies/achievements that deals with online ? ... plus we all know people always end up boosting each other for these trophies/achievement so it's basically a waste of time since all it matters is that you find the right people to play with , doesn't have anything to do with Skills , like , i don't know , 'complete the game using only the handgun' for example ...

We probably wont get a trailer until after they ship mini ninjas
Mini Ninjas has an expected release date of September 09
so what conferences are left after that, i cant imagine they will show off a trailer at Tokyo game show 09, maybe they will release one independently of a game show.
that is of course if the game is still on schedule for a release this year.

@ Gnr Greivous
Good points, i would like if they explored the Lynch character more, gave him more depth, and apart from online co-op the ability to play through the single player campaign as Lynch offline would be welcome
I think they could do with more modes, like a death-match and team death-match but with more Kane and Lynch style originality
I think achievements have a place in multiplayer, They're kind of pointless but...whatever. I got all of mine legit. For the sequel they need to get rid of the Achievements True Elite and Celebrity, These achievements are rewarded to number 1 and two on the leader-board who get to play as Kane No 1 and Lynch No 2. Nobody has got these achievements without boosting. i don't have them. how can someone be proud of something they cheated to get. pathetic. so the two achievements that go to the 2 best players in the world end up going to the two biggest cheaters. lame.

Lynch was most certainly not with Kane and The7 on the venezuela job.
Lynch repeatedly has no clue about the venezuela job during the cutscenes, and even asks Kane about where the money is during the 3rd mission. The fact that he's so unprofessional throughout the game makes it next to impossible that Kane would ever have known him, or even willingly work with him. Kane has no idea about Lynch's "condition" and is repeatedly suprised when Lynch spazzes out and ruins things.
Lynch also has no clear weapons training, beyond being basically familiar with firearms. The7 is an elite mercenary organization, they would not bring Lynch on a retirement job. This is proven by the training level... you have to show Lynch how to use weapons and take cover, et cetera. If Lynch were a seasoned mercenary, he wouldn't be need to told about what an earpiece is, or how to take cover to avoid fire.
The7 even has disdain for Lynch. They are just using him. Lynch is just a criminal that was probably on Kane's prison transport that they used to keep and eye on him. The7 probably didn't realize how insane he was.

I know , i Know , but it's the only possible explanation as to why Kane's voice can be heard so many times in Lynch's flashbacks , plus you don't even know half of it ... Dog Days better clear it all up ...
Kane might of hired Lynch personally for the Venezuela job , the 7 probably only found it out later ...
One of Lynch's flashbacks suggests that he 'blacked out', he probably forgot everything about the Venezuela job , Kane , and all that jazz ...
Kane was mainly accused of causing the death of 25 civilians in Venezuela , but Lynch always seemed to be the one who 'shoots' at innocent people , i assume Lynch schizz out that day but Kane didn't knew , Kane knows that Lynch messed up but he never thought that Lynch had that particular 'issue' ...
Asside from the whole flashbacks theory , there's Rific who says to Lynch "you look familiar" in the Breakout chapter , it's possible that Lynch was at one point incarcerated in this prison (which could explain how Shelly knew of Lynch) , but still ...
gnrGrievous
07-27-2009, 09:44 PM
Then there's also the fact that Kane always refuses to talk about the Venezuela incident , i mean , what has he got to hide ? he can't really be That much Ashamed, can he?...
Look , i knew since day one that Kane and Lynch didn't knew each other before the events of Dead Men , but ever since i listened to those flashbacks in co-op , i'm starting to put the pieces of the puzzle by myself , and that means i'm taking the slightest details and digging an importance out of it (such as in the chapter Trials , when Lynch introduces himself to Kane who immediately changes the subject , first time playing i see it as Kane didn't give a damn about who Lynch is when now his family is in danger , after hearing the flashbacks all i can think is that Kane already knew who he is , and is rather pissed off that he is with him again , 'this idiot' who screwed everything up ...)
All i need is an explanation to the flashbacks , and until then , i've only got my theories to believe in ...
(why does it sound so dramatic ? lol)

The whole Venezuela job is really convoluded, and isn't explained very well. On the website there are interview documents that somewhat explain what happened...
basically the 25 "civilians" from my understanding... were The7 mercs that died. All of them had skin from their wrists cut out (where The7 tatoos their members) so as to disguise their identities. Kane basically fled with the loot, and was arrested (I don't know on what charge... I don't think the american authorities can prosecute someone for crimes committed in a foreign country, especially a cartel country like Venezuela)
but regardless... you're right, it doesn't make sense that Kane would kill a whole bunch of civilians. It's not his style... and so I think that he was essentially blamed for the whole bunch of The7 members that died there. Some of them may have been americans, so it could be plausible that Kane might be charged with those murders in the states. Either way, it's a HUGE grey area of the story that isn't really even touched on.
and I think Kane's reluctance to talk about the Venezuela job is just criminal tradecraft. He doesn't talk about his jobs or his involvements to anyone, because that's just a loose end that has to be filled. When Lynch asks Kane if he was romantically involved with Yoko, he's reluctant to give details about that as well. I think Kane is just a private person, and he doesn't share information that he doesn't absolutely have to. Kinda goes hand in hand with the training he's no doubt had.
and yes, to the "You look familiar" comment... Everyone in Kane's criminal world seems to know about Lynch and what he supposedly did to his wife. Which makes me think that Lynch's alleged murder of his wife must have recieved a LOT of newspaper/media coverage. Lynch also knows Retomoto, but doesn't know Retomoto's daughter (in his shock and disbelief when Kane leads him to kidnap Retomoto's daughter, Yoko) - So in a sense, Lynch is kinda "plugged in" to the whole criminal thing, but it's clear that he's an outsider when it comes down to it.
The flashbacks are also somewhat confusing, if you ask me. I've only heard the Lynch flashbacks with the children singing "ring around the roses" and Lynch explaining to his wife that the medication is working, and later screaming NO, NO, NO or something. Even if Lynch's trial took ... say a year of deliberation (unlikely, but let's be generous) ... it says somewhere that the Venezuela incident occured YEARS ago.
Little Brother says: "Kane, I've been waiting for this moment for four years."
so the Venezuela incident occurred 4 years prior to Kane being convicted and arrested.
now in the beginning, Kane is writing a letter to his daughter and he says he's been "trying to write you this letter for 14 years." - From Jenny's appearance in the game, I'm gonna say she is about 21 or so. So I'm guessing that what Kane means by "14 years ago" is that that was when he left his family to join The7 after his son shot himself with his handgun. There are flashbacks to confirm that Jenny was very young when this happened.
So I'm gonna guess that Kane spent 10 years or so working for The7 before doing the Venezuela job, then spent the last 4 years robbing banks or doing whatever before he was arrested. Now I know what you're thinking... statute of limitations... Kane can't be convincted after something he did 4 years ago - well the answer is YES, he can. No state in the United States has a statute of limitations on 1st degree murder. So whatever Kane did in Venezuela, it was prosecuted and convicted as 1st degree murder.
I think that these 4 years that Kane spent in the states before he got arrested were the years that he worked with Shelly, Rific, Tharpa, Grimley (dead) and Madsen (dead)... Again, this is just my personal theory. It's really hard to put any of this to a timeline, because I think the game is intentionally vague about all this.
gnrGrievous
07-28-2009, 11:32 AM
You're absolutely right about the timeline and the theory about the 25 civilians being members of The7 is quite interesting and convincing but i'll give some additional informations anywya ...
The game manual states that Kane was 'arrested soon after his return to the USA',meaning he indeed spent 4 years in jail ...
Now suppose that Dead Men took place in 2007 ,he would have been in jail since 2003 ,and Surprisingly, Lynch killed his wife in 2003 as well (based on the 'criminal profile' made for K&L ,it was a huge package made by Eidos to promote the game back in 2007)...
Also ,the theory about Kane already working with RTS is not possible since he had to justify himself saying "i'm not a member of the7 anymore" meaning the last time they met ,they weren't exactly 'friendly'...
And yes ,the fact that the story of Lynch being a wife killer is a Known story is odd ,i mean it's not like if he did a very uncommon thing ,up to the point of making Shelly shiver at the fact that he has to work with a 'psycho' ...
gnrGrievous
07-28-2009, 11:34 AM
A couple of things i would like to point out is the 'age' of our two protagonnist ...
On the manual it is stated that Kane was born August 27 1969 , and Lynch was born January 12 1966 ...
Lynch is therefore 3 years older than Kane , but what's funny is that Kane is always being called as the 'old man' , or that he is too 'old and slow' , while Lynch never seems to get tired of all these shootouts ...
This might be because Kane worked as a mercenary for nearly 10 years ,which probably made him 'too old for this', compare to Lynch , who whether he had a history of violence or not is unknown ...
Assuming again Dead Men took place in late 2007 , Kane would have been only 38 years old ...
Now ,some math ...
38 - 14 years away from his family = 24 ...
The guy was 24 years old when his 2 year old son shot himself ...
No wonder he 'lost it', he was so young ...
Ah yes ,the manual also states that Kane last saw his daughter when she was 5 years old ...
24 - 5 = he was a father when he was 19 ...
So damn young ...
Kent-45
07-28-2009, 01:02 PM
In the manual it mentions that Lynch is supposed to be kinda heavyset too. He's supposed to be fat, but this isn't translated at all in the game.
In one of the viral videos, Kane actually says "No one wants to play an old, slightly fat has been like you... or me"
gnrGrievous
07-28-2009, 01:12 PM
Indeed ...
But if we take that into consideration , then we are just going deeper into the rabbit hole , since less and less information will be actually 'canon' to the storyline ...
PS : I'm surprised the sequel isn't actually called Lynch & Kane : Dead Men :) ...

Maybe Shelley recognizes Lynch because Guys in jail, talk about each other, recognize each other, what else is there to do in jail i guess. but lets consider what we know about the sequel,,,the title, dog days, suggests the game will be a sequel other wise they would have perhaps called it Kane and Lynch 2: Kane's redemption or something. because a prequel would just focus on Kane and the 7 it would kinda suck to play through a new title that was a prequel because we all knw what happens in the first one.

I find that it's hard to get *anyone* excited about this franchise. Everyone has such a bad taste in their mouth from the whole Gamespot fiasco and the overall mediocre gameplay and the bugs.
I think that this forum won't come alive until Kane & Lynch 2 goes gold. I would suggest to IO Interactive that they release a very strong demo to get people back into this thing, because I know a lot of people that won't pay money for a Kane & Lynch title after the experience they had with the first one.
I myself will be pre-ordering Kane & Lynch 2 because that's how the **** I roll.

Honestly i prefer the community to be kept only by those who just appreciate the Kane & Lynch franchise (even if there's only 8 of us) and not being filled with people who just suddenly pops out of nowhere praising Dog Days ,talking like if they 'own' the franchise yet acting as if Dead Men and its so called 'mediocre gameplay' never existed...
No i'm not saying a bigger fan base means evil ,what i'm saying is that IO Interactive should not 'abide' to the cries of the thousands of people who criticizes the game for whatever reasons...
IO Interactive wouldn't be what it is if it just made games that 'pleases' everybody ,they improve their games with ever sequel they make (look at how from Codename 47 they got to Blood Money),but they won't change the overall game concept...
So in a way i'm saying Dog Days will probably gain as much controversy and 'issues' with the public as Dead Men did ,maybe better received by the critics ,but the public will have to learn to accept what the game is and 'deal with it' ...

lots of people play on Live, like 100-200 on a daily basis today, so far after launch, there are Kane and Lynch fans out there it's just that no posts on this forum, it's dead, sad but true, this is the most alive it's been in a long time. Kane and Lynch is a game or people who want a mature action its not going to appeal to a mass fanbase the way Halo does, Halo is kinda like star wars and Kane and Lynch is like reservoir dogs. obviously i prefer reservoir dogs to star wars. but a more mature adult movie doesn't appeal to everyone. it may be as popular as the Hitman franchise, which would be okay in my book

Alright that's it , Conspiracy Theory Moment : i predict this so called "Mini Ninjas" is actually a front made as a cover up for Kane & Lynch 2 , yeah , it all makes sense now , Mini Ninjas is stated to be released in September 2009 , Ian Livingston of Eidos said that Kane & Lynch 2 should have a September 2009 target release date ... coincidence ?!? i Think NOT ...

Every time I heard the name "Mini Ninjas" a little part of me dies on the inside, because the concept for the game is so ******* stupid.
and IOInteractive is back on Twitter now. Feel free to follow them @IOInteractive or follow me @darkdomino

Yeah once you got to Mini Ninjas main menu screen , you get to select four difficulties , select the Very Easy difficulty , since no one would have played on Very Easy it's actually none other than the hidden Kane & Lynch 2 game , genius ! ...
Seriously though i still can't believe someone from IO actually stepped into this topic full of nonsense ... lol ...
And what the hell is with Twitter ? I'm actually scared about using it ...
Plus Twitter just sounds like some drug of the seventies ...
" Hey man , you got some Twitter on you , man ? I need some man ... GIMME YOUR TWITTER "
I'll stick to this dead forum ...

It's actually quite handy. IOInteractive makes updates on their twitter account and it saves me the wasted time of logging into the laggy zomg-we-know-how-to-use-Flash but never-updated Kane & Lynch site.
This forum is deader than a bucket of week-old KFC, and the Kane & Lynch site is still not even finished. If I hadn't paid full price for this game almost a year ago I'd be laughing right now.

because the concept for the game is so *** stupid.
It is cool and funny. IO team wanted to relax a little from killing people, blood and strong language :)

Did you just said that to someone who liked "killing people, blood and strong language" ?!? ...
OH NO YOU DIDN'T ! ...

Another Mini Ninjas trailer just released today , and it reminds me that despite this whole 'cute' concept , i can't help but feel this dramatic tone that ends in these trailers ...
It's true that most trailers made for IO Interactive's game rarely resembles the finished product's narration ( Blood Money's last and Dead Men's second trailer for example ), but this time it's different , Mini Ninjas is a non-serious game with a dramatic tone in its trailers , there's got to be a good reason for them to do that ...
I'm ready to bet that Mini Ninjas will win an award for best story of 2009 * , or at least get a nomination ...
*half joking ...

Just bought the Kane & Lynch Walkthrough guide from Prima games... hopefully it will explain some things, and it kinda does. I know the developers help Prima make these guides, so the information has to be somewhat legit.
Things that I've learned so far:
- Lynch, before he was arrested for killing his wife - used to "run a warehouse" - I took this to mean he was in some kind of management position. In one of the interviews with the psychologists Lynch had, he says something like "I got angry at the boss a lot" - So I think it's safe to say Lynch was middle mangement at a warehouse before he got entangled in this.
- In the "Pistols" section of the guide, it makes reference to a "Glock 17" as a weapon in the game. The picture they used is identical to the USP though. I have played through the game multiple times, and never seen a Glock 17. Perhaps this guide was made before the game was released, and there were multiple pistols? Either way, thought it was cool.
- Kane's Bio says that Kane is a heavy smoker.
- Lynch's age is listed as 41, Kane is 38 ... again, amusing that Lynch is always calling Kane an "old man" when Lynch is 3 years older.
- Kane's nationality is listed as "British" - these bio facts are taken directly from the game's manual. I'm not sure if this is accurate or not, because I doubt Kane has dual citizenship.
- The guide does confirm that Shelly dies at the end of the mission. Rific is the only mercenary who survives Cuba.
- The two japanese mercenaries in the Chapter 6: Exchange level are named "Ryu" and "Shinja"
more to come if I find it.

Yeah Lynch was a blue collar , the FBI profiles detailed that , in fact he had quite a trouble with his boss , especially due to his 'issues' (his co-worker found him in a room blacked out , with tables and coffees all over the place) ...
Kane as a heavy smoker no doubt about it , we saw him smoking three times in the game ...
Well the if date of births are correct , then like i said , Kane was too young of a father ...
By the way i don't recall Kane being of american citizenship in the first place , so he might just well be british , doesn't change much ...
It's Tharpa who survives , not Riffic , ;) ...
Yeah Ryu and Shinja , the two backups who came out of nowhere and were never seen from after that chapter ...
Unless if they were the guards next to Mute in the beginning of Reunion , if that's the case , rest in pieces ...

I'm confused now
Tharpa survives Cuba - because he left
Rific Dies in the Church at Venezuela, does Shelly Die or Not, i thought he got away
heres something cool i noticed too, on the walk in the park level in fragile alliance the guy with the breifcase who you have to kill before he gets in the chopper, is the elder brother with the beard from the main story

All I'd wish to know is the release date for this. I love all IOI games and can't wait for the release. Hope it has offline co-op!

There's a huge typo in this guide then (Says here "Rific" is the only survivor) - I'd scan the page but I don't want to violate any copyrights.
Thanks for catching that though guys. Oh and just an update, tried ordering the Kane & Lynch Mobile Game from Eidos' website. They charged me 9.99 and sent me no link, no game, no nothing. Customer service is non-existant, and the place that processed the transaction isn't even connected with the game.
I'm sure the mobile game is awesome for the 5 people the probably bought it.

I think that with Kane and Lynch 2: Dog days, it will be both a prequel and sequel in its narrative approach; the canon ending being with these two dead men on the boat and they both reminisce on the events that have lead to what they are, while it builds their relationship between the two to expand on their interesting backgrounds, while the game pans on their journey to work together and survive from the enemies that may be. My two scents for this and I can't wait to see what IO have in store for us! :)
