Richard is more acrobatic and his attacks would be pretty much jumping from foe to foe which is what Bruce also does abit in this game from what ive seen. Also you have to realize the games needs to be mainstream so they have to go for Bruce for obvious reasons and just have Richard as Nightwing in this game's universe.

Just call him Richard. ;) Anyway, I like Bruce the most. No one can ever replace him completely... but Richard is a good substitute.

When will you come back, Bruce? :(

If DC has balls as i hope. Bruce will be gone for 2-3 years. I'll be disappointed if its less than 3.

Bruce. I was very disappointed to see Richard take the Bat-mantle, it felt like a huge step backward to me, I wouldn't even play a game where it was him under the cowl, I'd much rather see a game where he's playable as Nightwing. Or better yet, as the original Robin, he's the only Robin I ever really had any favor toward.

No. We play in a game where its on its own universe.

No. We play in a game where its on its own universe. oh so in this universe bruce never died and that is why we are playing him batman in arkham asylum right ?

This is the universe the game is set to. There are loads of multiverses in the comic world such as the DC animated universe where Terry Mcguinnes took the mantle of the Bat after Bruce for example.

He could die. If you really wanted to go through the trouble of figuring out continuity, and If this game were have said to be in New Earths timeline, then "later" in the games universe he could die, theoretically.

This game suggests tho that **** is probably Nightwing. If he were to be put into the game, it would be no different than having the Jokers fighting style.

too many tie-ins. too many people writing the story. i like Batman, but sometimes there's just too many things that they slap in. in manga, the original author IS the author all throughout. in comics, there's jsut too many characters. i mean, how many are the Robins? Bruce Wayne IS Batman (or atleast that's what the original author intended). sometimes, it's all good. but sometimes it gets too convoluted. as i said, so many tie-ins.

the DC universe is a giant beast of a thing, and i understand how that can be daunting for readers (i practically pooped myself when i first read Batman: R.I.P and Final Crisis) because i was a 21st Century Batman fan, not a Golden/Silverage DC reader, so all the refererences that make up the plots were lost on me, but with a little reasearch and some re reads, i finally got the hang of what was going on, and do you want to know the absolute beautiful thing about the DC universe which makes it 100x better than the Marvel Universe?

If your a writer (like me) then you can write for ANY character (new or premade) slap him in the DC universe and say he is in continuity, which for me is the greatest gift DC could ever give me.

OT: Playing as Richard would be awesome, all the light hearted jokes that he throws while in combat would be refreshing from Bruces "grunt grunt you wont get away with it", but when it comes down to it, you gotta love Bruce as the main character untill end of days.

I am glad D_i_c_k took up the mantle of Batman. He is basically Bruce's first son (adopted) so I think it is only right for him to carry on the mission of his former mentor. To me it was always expected.
