Please for thelove of insanity, please include a section with a fullscale prison riot in the asylum. Imagine Batman having ti get through that ti find a clue to a mission.

Isn't it a little late for this? I mean, it's coming out in August. :hmm:

We don't know what's in the entire game. Besides, they aren't changing the missions and their structures, respectively. Arkham Asylum is nearly done and in stores for purchase.

If Lionhead can patch/DLC-in co-op almost in its entirety, then an inmate monkey-you know what-fight shouldn't be much of a problem, if they wanted to do something like that. Oh, and Woody? I'll check your level next time i'm on.

Yet there's no real reason to add this into the final game, save for fan desires. I'd rather have them focus on glitches and other visual/audio issues, as opposed to worrying about cramming in more content before August. Let's wait until they're ready to discuss future DLC.

I agree on fixing the foundation before adding a wing, but I... for the life of me... cannot see any game breaking flaws in any of the vids. If they say they want or need more time for its development, no problem. The way it looks now, I can scarcely imagine why, though. I only meant that it would be decently easy to add if they wanted to.

Honestly, I haven't been this excited for a game since Star Fox 64, and that helped bring rumble in as a basic feature. There is something unusually special about this game. We/I will just have to wait and see what it is, if not everything.

What? You mean like the final level in the Punisher 2005 game?

Well, I'm more hoping it's already there than telling them to go back and add it obviously, but I still think it'd be sweet.

Well it's pointless now , they've already finished the game , they are just polishing it and fixing bugs now . If it's not in this game , they arent going to change that now , they might put it in a sequel if there happens to be one .

That was one of the great things about Escape From Butcher Bay. It felt like a real prison riot going on while Rid**** was calmly sneaking through the chaos. In this game it looks like you deal more with various sized groups of Joker's goons more than actually try and stop a full scale prison riot from getting worse. This may set the game's immersion factor as less intense than it could have been, but we have to play the game to find out for sure.

I disagree, Revolution. This is not a chaotic revolution: it's all being orchestrated by the Joker, and he has a specific purpose for the goons. They're not running around and escaping for the heck of it. Therefore, the organized groups make sense in the context of the game, as we see bits and pieces of the uprising from Batman's perspective - but it's all for a reason. Early in the game, we witness the death of some officers, the goons beating Arkham's staff back, etc.

Immersion doesn't necessarily mean that we have to see OMGCHAOSCHAOSOMG. If they explain what's happening and we see bits and pieces of the uprising, I'll be pleased.

full scale prison riot sounds interesting. wouldnt want to be in one of them though.

In the walkthrough of Arkham Asylum, the screens show the prisoners escaping from their cells, and we even see them kill off the guards. I would say that Arkham, from what we've seen thus far, captures the desperation of a riot. It doesn't have to be mindlessly chaotic in order to do so.

walls do you really mind button mashing. i dont as long as they have different animations which they do by the looks of things im not bothered.

If you look at it, most games are "button mashers". As long as it's fluid, has some on-screen variation, and looks nice, I don't mind at all. Arkham also has stealth sequences and platforming elements to add variety, so I don't see how some individuals can call it a button masher.

God of War is a bit of a masher, but look at how acclaimed that series is.

Yeah gotta agree with you there. another good example is assassins creed it was a bit of a button masher but the cool animations and variations made up for it. As you said this game has stealth aspects as well so it will give you completely a whole load of different variations.

Yup. I think Arkham's variety of animations and cinematic feel will add to the immersion factor.

Assassins creed wasnt a button masher , it was about timing and precision :)
