She needs to take a deep breath first...like I just did before reading your initial post.

I wish I had that kind of lungcapacity. ;)

She can only hold it for a minute. I've timed myself in the bathtup and at the pool and I have gone as far as 1 min. 28 seconds. But then I come out looking like --->, so it's no fun.

Yes she is a good swimmer, she has her own built in floatation aids :p

She always seemed to hold her breath for quite a long time, but a minute isn't that exaturated (for a person of her lifestyle). My dad can hold his breath for 3 min!

Are you implying that Lara has had some "work" done??!! All this time I thought she had "natural" floatation aids. Well...at least as natural as a pixel can be.:p

its all very well sayin that you can hold your breath for over a minuite whilst in the bathtub but when you excercise (eg swim) whilst doing it.....youll get short of breath VERY quickly !

Don't you get brain damage after 3 mins.?

Yeah, but even if you hold her still, she'll still run out of breath in a minute.:p

LOL!
Sometimes Brain damage is only temporary. If my dad has any brain damage, it's not noticable. Note that lung capacity is the main role in how long before you get brain damage. If the corbon monoxide level fills beyond the capacity of the lungs, the brain won't get any oxygen, thus causing the damage.

Quote from the movie Scream:
"Why is Jamie Lee Curtis in all those movies?"
"Because she's the ... *whispering* scream queen!
"Yeah, with a pair of lungs like that!"
*with an ironic look* "Breasts, you see?"
I wonder if Lara Croft, having such a big chest and therefore most likely huge lungs (which whould explain why she can hold her breath like that) can also scream the way Jamie Lee or Neve did in their scary movies. I mean: the only time we hear Lara screaming is when she's taking a huuuge (and sometimes even deadly) jump from a cliff. What'd you think?
