I know that Batman once was a GL in the one shot, "In Darkest Knight."
Who do you guys think can do a better job of being a Green Lantern?
Hal Jordan or Bruce Wayne?
Personally I choose Bruce, because as a man, he's more than a man. His will and imagination would overrule in my opinion.

Hal Jordan.
Bruce didn't become a CIA agent because he didn't believe the legal system would be able to save Gotham, why would he believe in the Green Lantern corp leaders and their system? I find this the reason Bruce wouldn't do a great job even tho he has great will power and he can show fear to people (Yellow Lanterns).

So if you're saying he can inflict fear, so he would be a good soldier in the Sinestro corps?

Let's keep everyone in their usual suits. Don't mix this stuff up on me. ;)

Well Sinestro corp believe they can/should rule the world thru fear, and Batman rules the criminal world by instilling fear upon them.
Really tho Batman does belong to Green Lantern corp due to his will power, but he has a touch of yellow on him. ^^

And he possibly wouldn't belong I suppose, since A GL has to really have no fear.
But In a what if, how about their abilities rather than how he makes but people feel.

All Star Batman & Robin's Batman talked about how Hal Jordan was wasting his green lantern powers making imagenery giant hands to catch villains, he talked about if he had the power ring he'd cause a few tidal fawes here and there and set the whole world in order pretty much. :D

I heard that the All star series are horrible and really badly scripted though

Interesting idea..... though I don't think Bruce would work best with Willpower..... he has something more than that. Maybe I'm being silly here... but would the Blue latern corps be relevant to Bruce perhaps? Just thinking how he gives Gotham the hope it needed in it's darkest hours.

Its an elseworld story where Batman after 3 years of fightning crime alone has gone near sociopathic insane. Robin is there to pretty much help him get back to his human side really.
Its different and alot of top critics seem to hate it, i actually love it but i admit i am a Frank Miller fanboy. I think it remains loyal to Batman when it comes to what Frank has written (Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Dark Knight Strikes Again) and so on. :)

I don't think Green is his style.

Ah, I haven't actually read it, just blogs about it. But I guess it still has to get there.

But his will is one of his strongest abilities.
If you've read "In Darkest Knight," (I haven't, yet) I heard he pretty much kicks as with the abilities.

Blue Lanterns seem more like some support assistants to Green Lantern since they can fill their lanterns or so.

I hated the ending where Superman, Flash and Wonderwoman all became green lanterns aswell. :(

Thanks for spoiling it... :mad2:
But anyway, I thought Blue Lanterns can't use their powers without the presence of a Green Lantern, right?

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH i thought you had read it. :( Well its not really that spoiling but bleh. :( Truly sorry for telling who shows up at the end, but its not really THAT big of a deal. :( :( :( Bleh. :(

Seems their weakness is a drain thing the Orange lanterns can do.

Hmmm... well who ever brought that up, I don't think Batman really Hopes for things. He just gets out there and does it with his own Willpower. Giving hope isn't really the same as having hope.

Hmm we could always speculate whos who as a Lantern for the sake of fun!
Batman = Green + abit of yellow
Richard Grayson = Green
Tim Wayne = 50% Blue 50% Green
Harley Quinn = Pink (she loves the Joker way too much lol)
Jason Todd = Red
Killer Croc = Red
Catwoman = Green
Alfred = Blue
Joker = Everything haha, hes that damn crazy with his mental illness
Bane = Green
Man Bat (before he became a good guy) = Yellow
Hush = Red + Green
Any other suggestions?

Gordon Green + Blue?
Drazar

Definatly.
Also on a more serious thought i'd give Joker the Orange ring, i mean he is a selffish bastard after all. =D Creating chaos because of his own free will for no reason but to enjoy the anarchy he creates.
Most villains tho are green, all Batman cast has alot of willpower and so on.

I think most villains are going towards Orange. They're all in it for their selfish desires.
Drazar

Wouldn't Batman be selffish for wanting justice then? Poison Ivy wishes plants more living and whatnot. Penquin is definatly Orange, and what about Two-Face with his two personalities? Harvey being the once symbol of hope wishing for justice, and Two-Face being the dirty law of Gotham showing them that murder and mobster-alike action is the only way to rule Gotham?

Scarecrow was offered a ring into the Sinestro Corps but he was locked in Arkham, even tried to recruit Batman . I really liked All Star Batman but like Drazar im a somewhat of a Miller fanboy.
I think **** Grayson would be more blue than anything. Blue Lanterns are "assist" the green, with a weakness to Orange. If anyone has read #42 recently, then they would know that Blue+Orange are gonna have a problem.

I think before him being Nightwing, he'd be more of a Red Lantern, because of his parents getting killed and whatnot.

Neither....It would be Kyle Rainer........hes younger and already has his experience now so like another 10 years bammm on top. Lantern requires imagination and I think bruce is too literal so....I dont think he woul dbe the best.

I can't believe so many people said Batman. I hope they realize that if Bruce did become GL, then there would be no Batman. Hal Jordan could kick Bruce's a** in a nutshell. Not to mantion if Bruce did get the ring he wouldn't have all those fighting and detective skills.

Uhhh Killer Croc, have you read All-Star? Green Lanterns do have a weakness.
I think before him being Nightwing, he'd be more of a Red Lantern, because of his parents getting killed and whatnot.
Really? **** with alot of rage? I always felt that even Batman looked at **** as a symbol of hope. That you can live that life and still be emotionally connected to people.
