Hi guys! I made this thread because I want to talk about Doomsday from my favorite TV series Smallville season 8! I like how he looks! He looks like the one in the comics. Although, the comic book Doomsday had more horns but it is Great! Sam Witwer is like a new guy in the famous world right? Because I haven't seen him anywhere except in the Star Wars The Force Unleashed game. He is a good actor. And he has sense of humor, like me! He,he! Although he has more good jokes. But do you like Doomsday from Smallville season 8? I want to know what you think

What are you talking about? Smallville is a kick-@$$ show. I bet most of you haven't watched it. It's a nice way to show how Superman was growing up as a kid. May not be comic realistic, but it surely makes sure that it could. Doomsday, General Zod, Braniac, Lex, and Bizzarro show up, they are all in it. They have some interesting non-Superman villains in the comic too. They had somebody that figured out who Clark was and shot him with a Kryptonite bullet. They had Flash, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Cyborg, and Black Canary show up. Batman fans, definitly not DC fans. I only watched up to season 4, but I know who show up in the series and who doesn't. U suspect Metallo next season.

I've been watching Smallville ever since season 1. I like the show and Season 9 is supposed to introduce more DC characters, but they are definitely dragging on the no-fly thing which still bugs me. We've seen some many other characters already fly on the show, but Clark seems to be the only one who can't. Even Bizarro flew and he's basically evil Clark.

Hell my father, an absolute lover of all DC characters absolutely hates Smallville because its a teen spin on Superman with teen drama. Who cares about Superman in High School and his love interests in that time. We want to see Superman at his finest.

You keep saying it's cool, which by the way, 1984 called and wants back. Smallville is barely a superhero tv show, hell I think Birds of Prey is better. Not to mention the decreasing number of viewers per year is rather sad. It's down to like 3.4 million viewers after starting at almost 9 million. That should say something right there.

I like it alot,and I really think that it's a good show,maybe not the best on television,but overall,it's decent.Also,don't dismiss the cw as a teeny bopper channel,while it may host shows like gossip girl,and 90210,it also has one of the best horror shows on tv in supernatural .We are all entitled to our own opinions,but don't go around saying "this show's crap,"just because you don't like it.I,personally think it's one of my favorites along with Burn Notice,Supernatural,and The Brave and the Bold.

all of those you mentioned are great shows and some of my favorites(didn't list because most don't have new episodes until fall),but I've never seen the unit.Also,did you catch that Royal Pains show after BN?

The Unit is a great show. Probably the only show I've ever heard of that has 9.5 million viewers and gets cancelled.

Cool? Are you kidding me? It was entertaining at first because I did enjoy seeing a young Clark develop his powers. After season four, actually IN season 4 it went downhill. Lana turns out to be the descendent of family of witches...she fights Clark. Chloe turns out to be a Freak with powers? It seems there is Kryptonite EVERYTIME Clark fights someone...

Come on...if you like it that is fine. Still, the series is plagued by poor writing and even poorer representations of Superman villians...Braniac/Dr. Fine was horrible. Bizarro was ridiculous. Doomsday...I am supposed to believe that "kid" from Star Wars: TFU is Doomsday? Plus they wrote off the best character...Lex. Michael Rosenbaum was a redeeming factor of that mess. They are introducing ALL of SUPERMAN'S enemies before he even IS Superman...According to the show timeline he should be near 30...Yeah, I think it's time for him to fly.

Good ratings on the CW mean nothing...they should let the show die already.

I'm a regular Smallville watcher myself. Season 9 is a go and Season 10 maybe since TW had a contract for 2 more seasons. But that season finale of season 8 was lame. I hope they do something right to fix it in season 9 when it premieres in September. And it's been moved to Fridays. I just hope S9 is the final season. They've been holding back CK from becoming the Man of Steel for too long.

Smallville needs to end. Don't get me wrong I used to love the show and admittedly it has got me watching an episode or two from time to time, but let's face it there's little to no progress. It's a hair shy of becoming the Chloe show cuz let's face it her life has a lot more drama than Clark's, but ratings are everything in tv and as long as they got 'em their going to milk the show til they're cancelled. Idk I guess that's why I have more respect for Whedon on Buffy. He had the writing staff write every season finale as if the show was about to end. Smallville is like Prison Break. Once you break through the primary focus like Smallville itself and the prison in Prison Break, there really isn't much story left other than stuff that's slapped together. It's too forced. Once the Scofield's escaped it turned into a manhunt which ended up putting them in prison again. Once Clark realized he needed to fulfill his destiny and become Superman he wound up skipping his training and going to Smallville again.

They should end it with as much grace as they possibly can. Clark's starting to sound like a procrastinator. That and a bit of a jerk. For the love of God, save us all already, lol. I think I'd actually have less beef with the show if they went with the "What if he never became Superman" deal and he was basically just Clark saving everybody because at least then the storywriters' hands wouldn't be tied down but there's so much foreshadow of who he'll become it's enough to fill a black hole. Honestly, I don't even think WB cares anymore. I think they're just cashing their checks. Don't believe it then ask yourself why is Green Lantern all of a sudden so Batman and how come Bruce Wayne (who btw was in the old Superboy comics) isn't in Smallville?


Oh yeah. Sam Witwer funfact. If you watch "Angel" watch the episode, "Shiny Happy People" again and watch it very closely.

I really liked Smallville back when Clark wasn't this powerful and still trying to figure out what was happening to him, etc. And his want to have a relationship with Lana, but having to not and to pretend he wasn't special in order to save her from any harm. That was great. I haven't had the chance to see the past, oh, probably five seasons, lol, save maybe one or two shows, but it seams they went a bit too far. They tried dumping all of these superheroes into the show, beefing Clark up to Superman status, and Lana up into this weird magic wielding girl she never should have been, on again, off again good and bad girl... And then ... well, it's still going on. Once Clark graduated High School, learned to fly, I mean, it's over with. Let him go on to be Superman at that point. But, I agree with MDREF, they're just tying their own hands as writers whilst trying to shove everything they can as nods to the comics... I mean, Zod, other Kryptonians, Brainiac?? Clark's faced already his most deadliest foes, practically, yet he still hasn't graduated to become Superman:p Now you have the only being alive to ever be so strong, naturally, it defeated Superman to the point he had to be reborn, i.e. DEAD. Now, here he is... Um, little much?? Tad overkill?? Unnecessary?? Yeah... I love Tom Welling in the part over the years, Kristen Keurk has been fantastic, Michael Rosenbaum as Lex is really subtle and great. Cloe, eh, she's ok... If ths show is more focused on her now, then no thanks. I loved John Schneider and Annette O'Toole as the Kents. John Glover as Lionel Luther was amazing too. That's an evil dude right there. I just think it probably stopped being really good when the High School years were done. I love the powers and how they were developed on a TV show, but again, enough's enough.

Make a worthy Superman movie and focus on that instead.

I don't see why people like him yeah he's strong but if it wasn't for writers superman prob would of be thrown out. for example the only real bad guys he has that could take him down are doomsday and brainic. if you know what i mean the writers made super have a hard time with lex and other charaters only b/c they want people to continue to read him. superman is boaring.

Are you kidding me? Compared to Tom Welling he looks like a kid...he is small and definitely not in the spirit of Doomsday, although he is a strong actor. Yes, his actual Doomsday form looks decent enough.

Why do they make him looks similar to the comics and not anyone else? It goes against the "realisitic" tone that they had going with the series.

What r any of u talking about? Smallville's 's an awesome show. It's cool how they show his future villains and fellow heroes. I mean some things could b a lil better like for the fact of them showing Cyborg. I mean he's a pretty cool character on the show, but he's not in the Justice League in the future. I think that the only reason that they added him was to have a black guy on the team (sry I don't mean to sound racist). And if that's the reason their's plenty of other blk heroes they could use like I dunno Black Lightning maybe? IDK just a thought. Also what's the big deal with having Bart Allen on the show?
