View Full Version : The Introduction Thread

Here's a thread for people to introduce themselves (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgAB7Gd0ENg) and share a little info on their Batman addiction if they choose (kudos to SilentGuardian, as this was his idea :thumb: )

There's always quite a few guests browsing the forums so we thought perhaps this thread might encourage some of you to get involved! http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/evileye.gif

(I'll start and see how this thread goes for a little while).

I'm 31, I've been working at Eidos for about eight or nine years man and boy. Started off testing games, worked on everything from Timesplitters 2 (great fun), Anachronox (epic) and Popstar Maker (the worst ******* game ever). And I've been doing community management stuff for about five years. Batman: Arkham Asylum is the best game I've worked with

Hey all, I'm Dan and I am obsessed with the wonderful world of Batman! He connects with me on a more personal level, just because he is cool, but also because he is more human. And the Batman universe is just ripe with iconic characters, archvillians, and moments! I have been following this game from the beginning; and after finally preordering my Collectors Edition of B:AA at EB Games/ Gamestop, I also have finally joined the forums. I look forward to having many great discussions on here, and I am proud to be involved. When B:AA releases, you can find and compare scores with me; PSN ID: Goodmangamerguy! Good luck, and happy chatting!

Hi guys my name is Diego I am 23 years old I live in the U.S. but I was born in Bolivia, I am a huge batman fan I find him and his foes very interesting. A weird thing that I always do is making connections between batman characters and classical literature and/or philosophy. I have been a fan since I saw the first Burton movie then I got into the animated series and then comics and graphic novels, I also collect batman related action figures… yes I am a huge geek. Batman is one of the influences in me starting to practice martial arts. I can’t wait for this game. My xbl name is K1LL1N JOKE please feel free to add me.

I got into Batman fairly recently, when I got my brother the LEGO Batman game for his birthday, and started checking out some of the comics out of curiosity. Nevertheless, the game got me into all of the different foes, and, despite the annoyance of my siblings, who call me obsessed, I am now a fan.

06-10-2009, 06:48 AM
Guess I'll throw my own intro in. Hi! I'm Nightwing, 22 years old from the north east of England. Just returned from Canada recently, my identity as Nightwing has followed me from many other forums to here.... strangely I first used it on a Sonic forum ages and ages ago.

Been into the entire Bat-family since I was a kid, first triggered by the animated series which I watched on Saturday mornings. (yay! memories!) Since then, I've read and watched more and more I guess. Seen every Batman there is to see I think, with one notable exception. Also read a fair bit (but nowhere near all) of Batman, Robin, Nightwing, some Superman stuff and even a little Question. So I guess I'm fairly diverse in that respect. Yeah, I think that's enough about me, let's hear about you?

Hey,

I'm 27, I've been a Batman fan since I was two or three. Loved almost all of the Bat-movies (we will not speak of that one movie that shall not be named), and overall I just love the entire DC Universe. I'm really excited for this game... it looks like the first good Batman game in a while.

I'm also working on a series of YouTube skits with my friends about a guy who happens to live with a talking cardboard standup of Batman. The teaser can be seen here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdsvsrtKuNg)... if you check back in a couple weeks we should have the first one or two official webisodes posted. (Love it or hate it, leave feedback if you can!)

PSN ID is superdarrin82. Feel free to add me.

Hey, I'm Matt and I have been a casual batman fan for a few years which have been spent reading various graphic novels. I'm 16 and have just finished my first year of college.

My other interests are probably music and video games, I am a big fan of Pearl Jam, Faith No more (haven't actually got the introduce yourself album for some reason), Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine inch nails and Pantera. I've only been playing games since the release of the PS1 so I sadly have missed out on some of the timely classics released on the sega megadrive etc. My favourite games I've played have probably been either the ratchet and clank series, the timesplitters series or the god of war games and my favourite game I've played on this generation of consoles is probably bioshock. I have a feeling that B:AA could take 1st place for my favourite game though, only time will tell ;)

06-10-2009, 09:27 AM
Hey there, I'm Chris, but you probably know me as TimelessUnknown. I have watched Batman: The Animated Series since I was about 4 or 5 years-old. From that, I became a huge Batfan. As I grew a little more, I started to draw him more often, I watched the movies, so on. So enough about my Batlife. I'm 16 and I like to draw A LOT. I'm also a 360 owner and I love video games. :)

Hello all, my name is Bryan AKA The Boshart. I am 21 years old, have an IQ of 145, and can run a five minute mile.
I started playing games since age two, when I got into games like Shinobi and Sonic. And have been a life long gamer ever since. I dream of one day opening up my own game store.
I have been a Batman fan as long as I can remember, though I've hopped in and out of the comics for years. I've been hoping for a game that portrayed all the aspects of Batman for many years, so I am highly enthusiastic for this game.
My PSN is The_Boshart if anyone cares.

Been a Batman fan since I watched the animated series, and it carried on from there. More so with reading up on the history of Batman and his villains, and recently studying them from a psychological standpoint, as opposed to buying the comics. Though I own Hush volumes 1 and 2, Batman: Year One, Batman: War Crimes, and The Killing Joke.
That's about it I think.

There are some very good titles out there, I would recomend Metal Gear Solid 4, it has the stealth aspect of Batman, in a way, really good game though.

i was born in a horrible place called QOM, IRAN.
moved to the united states when i was 10, not speaking english and was taught, america wanted me dead.

i began learning english, from DC's wonder woman comics and i was attracted to EVER see a woman, who was not subjugated, and enslaved , as male property.

i first heard of batman from an old crossover tale, and was VERY interested and attracted to bruce waynes plight, and emotions.

since then, i have not only looked to comics of enjoyment, and peace.

but for moral and life lessons, which were NOT attainable in my homeland, and unthinkable.

in my eyes , bruce timm and paul dini's versions of batman, superman, and the justice league was very important to ME , for reason's .....gladly, you will never have to understand.

have a good day

Guess I'm long overdue for this. "MCREF" is actually a combination of things. REF is actually the initials of my name and I use it as a rap alias. I'll post a link if you guys want to check my stuff.

Raised in Santa Ana, Cali. Despite what people talk about, nothing ever happened to me there. Got really interested in high school theater but I kept getting passed up for good roles because of my age and there was this whole "seniority" mantality over casting. So when I moved to Anaheim, I didn't think twice. I got superstar status at my next school.

Graduated awhile ago and I want to become a music producer. Or an actor. Or both. Whichever comes first. I'm gonna go to college for music production and try some auditions on the way.

Whats up my name is Chris J,

I've been a batman fanatic since birth, I was born into the animated series era pretty much. So I was part of the running around the house with my sleeping blanket tied around my neck, jumping off the bed a thousand times to watch my CAPE billow in the air group. As a kid I was a fan of everything batman. Every movie, cartoon show, super nintendo or sega game, book, coloring book, action figure, I was sure i had it all. As I got older and got into film and cinematography, I realized how compelling, emotional, dark and fascinating the Bruce Wayne/batman story really was beyond the cape being tied around the neck days lol. I loved the darkness, the stealth and mental power batman has. Christopher Nolan and his crew depicted it best(Nolan is God). The one thing batman lacked was a video game that could truly capture who he was and made the player feel like they were batman(my dream since day one). And now here we are, I lose sleep at night thinking and pondering of how this game is gunna feel in the palm of my hands to actually, FINALLY be batman. Basically Rocksteady and eidos are making a child's dream come true. I'm twenty now and still batsy 4 life and will be at gamestop at 9:55 on august 25th. The demo needs to hurry up and come out.

Greetings! I'm Will, 19 years old (I turn 20 a day before the game comes out and won't get a good night sleep till then!) and studying chemistry at uni. I've only read batman comics for a couple of years but been a batfan before I was born. I loved watching the Burton films on VHS as a kid, and still do, and it didn't mess me up at all, lol. I loved Batman Begins and in my view The Dark Knight is the best movie ever. I've heard about this game in April and been waiting in anxious anticipation since then. The only batman game I have played is batman begins on game boy advance which was alright but B:AA is going to best batman game ever and maybe best game ever. I pre-ordered the collector’s edition for x-box mid May because of challenge map and batarang (no playable joker, sad face but sill good game so now happy face). I wish the batarang was metal instead of plastic but I guess that would be a bit dangerous. Anyway can’t wait for what looks likes to be a great game!:)

Batman is the sickest DC character!!!!!! I've been following Batman since I was about 7 years old and my brother started the whole Batman franchise for me. I first followed the movies, then comic books, graphic novels, and then the games. Some were good most weren't :(!!!! But I have been a fan since then. Hi, I'm Garrett; 21 years, born and raised in Texas. I'm a professional (yes, as in published) freelance writer, my interests include working out, criminal psychology, psychology of personality, ancient mythology, and art.
I've been a Batman fan since I was about 6 years old, I'd seen the Tim Burton movies but it was Batman: The Animated Series that really made me a fan.
Strange as it is, while I love the Bat I find myself more intrigued by his villains than I am him, my personal favorites in the bat-universe are Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Two-Face. :)

Hi there, I'm evilmajikman. My youtube is youtube.com/evilmajikman

Batman was my first memory ever. (I was born in 1988, Tim Burtons Batman came out the year after). When I was a kid I watched the tv show every time it came on. So I'm glad to see that the voice actors from that cartoon returned. The first Eidos game I played was Fear Effect 2. I loved it, there was going to be a sequel, but then it got canceled. I'm really looking forward to Batman: Arkham Asylum because well, I've played the demo, and watched the demonstration e3 videos, and it just looks simply amazing.

Finally, a Batman game that wont be awful.

Hi im Greenas , i only usually talk on the tomb raider forums , but i decided that i have an account here , so i may as well use it .

I became very much interested in Batman: Arkham Asylum quite awhile ago , so i decided to do some research on it and i was almost instantly hooked .

Im also very happy to see a videogame not based on a movie (those usually turn out horribly) . Starting a comic game from a clean slate was instantly good news , no rushing to meet dealines with movies , being able to start a new story from scratch . It just had to be a good game , and from what i've seen , it looks like it has to be !

Hello, everyone. Here's a late introduction from Walls.

I've been a Batman fan for years, but I was first intrigued by the Animated Series. I currently live in my own apartment, and my state is Pennsylvania. I'm also a rabid Watchmen fan, so feel free to discuss that with me whenever you want. If I had to select my favorite DC character, it would undoubtedly be Batman. As far as Marvel is concerned, I've recently become quite a fan of Iron Man.

Since Drazar and Keir have already done it, here's a picture of me (on the right, of course) with my mother:

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/1537/sd538837.jpg

Last but certainly not least: My name is Matthew, and I'm nineteen. I love to travel, and I'm planning a trip to Scotland next year with three of my closest relatives. I would have been in Japan this year with my teacher and ten other students, but I left the language class I was attending every evening to focus on other subjects.

Oh, yes, and...

Old Disney is the best. That is all.

I've been here a while, but I don't think I've ever formally introduced myself. My name is Spiros(I'm Half Greek).I'm 14 years old and live in Ohio.My addiction started at an early age,My first exposure to Batman was through comic books,my Grandfather's comic books.I remember very vividly my first comic book.It was the conclusion to Knightfall with an embossed Azrael/Batman overlapping the cover, underneath was The classic Batman.I have to say though, that my love for Batman started with The Animated Series.I remember it as though I was a part of history, sitting cross-legged in front of the television with my bowl of cereal in hand.Kids did the same things in the 40's with The Max Fleischer Superman serials,In the 50's as George Reeves leaped through windows,The 60's had Adam West Bif!Bang!and Pow!ing his way through the Bad guys and so on even up to today with The Brave and the Bold.I remember going on a shopping spree for my 4th or 5th birthday,I could get the 4 Batman movies and the Superman movies on VHS...

...(Back when those things were popular). There I developed a fascination and love with these characters, their vivid worlds were an escape from the blandness of everyday life, their foes were extravagant and unique, and the characters themselves were not characters at all. They were icons. The first comic book I ever bought was Superman/Batman #1 and what a good way to start, since then I've developed an exceptional collection. In 2004,when Batman Begins was announced,I got familiar feelings of how incredible things would be.I was 10,In a theater in June of 2005,and I felt as though I was 4 again, and again last year with The Dark Knight. This game is another fresh beginning for me,only this time we get to experience these icons.I hope you appreciate this, because God knows I do.

Hullo,

I'm 28 and wasting away in the darkest regions of Kent to the south of that rotten little green sludge known to many as Albion. I've been hovering around for a few months now and feel my opinions are better than yours. I have a fairly esoteric sense of humour and I don't tend to use emoticons - they are the computer equivilent of canned laughter.

I also curse many of the posts that don't warn of spoilers. In my weaker moments I am tempted to gouge out my eyes and throw them at the screen. I realise this won't achieve anything.

Batman: Dark Knight Returns and the animated series were my first real experience of the world of Gotham but, to be honest, I'm more of an Alan Moore Whore.

I look forward to abusing/being abused by you all.

I love all of the movies Burton's, I know, Schumacher's, because I enjoyed them when I grew up on them. I love Nolan's, because everyones' vision is a different version.

Hello all!

My real name is René and I'm living in Austria. At the moment I'm 20 years old and playing games since I was a little boy in the age of six.
But not only gaming is a hobby of mine, I'm also a Bat-fan. The first contact with Batman was in the age of six, when I saw the first movie from Tim Burton on T.V.
Sometimes later I saw the cartoon version of Batman (The Animated Series) and since that moment I'm falling into the fan fever. Batman was and still is my hero number one, because he's not the classic superhero - he's a human.

Some other hobbies are drawing (not so good, but I'm trying to get better), programming, writing stories (and reading books and comics of course) and I love it to collect movie scores on CD.

I followed the development cycle of 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' since it's annoncement last year and read that message board also a long time. I can't await the release of the game, as many others here in the board.

Okay, that's my posting in that thread.

Hi!
My name is Juan Pablo, I'm from Colombia and am 17.
Since I was a very little kid (3 years old to be exact) I was a Batman fan. I loved the first movie and feared Jack's joker too much :P At my childhood I had a 70 pieces collection of Batman action movies and i'm seriously obssesed by the contemporary comics :)
And about Arkham, I saw i first time at january 15th, I loved it already.
Now, I'm really Hype, sonce 2 months ago; and saying Hyped is just a short adjective, I'm dreaming almost every night of the game, I'm making draws every day, I visit almost everypage in every language related to this game, I'm almost insanely obsessed.
At the end of this, if the game is delayed, I'm going to Arkham for sure :nut:

Greetings:D

I am 32, been in the games industry since i was 18. Starting at Codemasters working on Micromachines ;) left there to come work for Eidos back in 1998. Ive been a lead tester, compatibility tester, then mastering/compatibility, and now am Mastering manager (still oversee compat in roundabout way). I've worked on every pretty much every single Eidos title since 1998. My personal favourites have been Warzone 2100 (recently helped with the GPL version of this - oh yes its available for free now and been worked on by some really dedicated people), Praetorians, Startopia and the new TombRaiders. Now Batman is definitely making its way up my all time fav list :)

The Red Hood
08-06-2009, 12:00 PM
Hai......
Hello, i'm The Red Hood! I have had a love for everything Batman since childhood and I've been following this forum for a long time now and the game for even longer! The game's announcement took me completely by surprise, i have always kept Batman: TAS close to my heart sine childhood and the idea of Paul Dini, Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill all involved in what could (and will) be the greatest Batman game ever made just sent me out of control!
I have to say i'm a veteran fan of Batman: TAS since, well... chilhood really. But hearing Hamil and Conroy's voices once again as two sides of the same coin is one of the greatest things about the game. When i first heard their voices it was almost as if i could cry, It was that dear.
Mark Hamil has always been The Joker, to me anyway. His iconic laugh and amalgamation of everything that the Joker is unrivalled. But to have him in such a game with suh a story... Ledger was a realistic portrayal. Hamil's stellar style is timeless and shall always be the greatest. Unmatched really. Kevin Conroy, the same. He has always been Batman in my eyes and its a blessing the decision was made to use their voices. :) Its good to hear Arleen's Sorkin's voice aswell! Its a shame other major villain's an character's from TAS weren't involved also....

One of my all time favourite games is Bioshock (a name which must be annoyingly ripe in the ears of Roksteady) and Batman: AA WILL better the atmosphere and sense of world for Arkham! Everything i could've imagined in a game has came true!
This is going to be the greatest game of the year There are no real words to describe how much i anticipate this game. So i'll just leave it on a big ol' SMILE :D

Mr_Scarecrow_Goes_To_Town
08-06-2009, 02:32 PM
Greetings all! I am Mr_Scarecrow_Goes_To_Town or Phil for those who care and I am fifteen years old.

Since my childhood, I've had a love of all things Batman, which was lost temporarily (shame on me, I know) for Marvel love and it took the announcement of Batman: Arkham Asylum and several graphic novels to reinstate everything I held dear since I first watched TAS.

On some personal notes I'm a Libertarian Marxist, (I'd like to keep the pinko/political jokes to a minimum if we could) and I'm also a metalhead, (\m/) my favorite genre being Death and all it's derivatives. I don't do well with elitist metalheads as I listen to Slam Death and Deathcore on occasion, (The majority of both are garbage though, I will admit) as well as classical (favorite composer is Bach) jazz, soul, funk, hip hop, classic rock and blues.

I'm also a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic (had it for two years, not fun) and I love Watchmen as well, and am one of the few fans of the graphic novel that I know who don't hate the movie and actually hold it in high regard. (Nothing can replace the actual graphic novel though.)

I've been following the forum for some time but was always reluctant to post, due to my past experiences. (Let's just say they involved a lot of hatred towards me for no reason. People can be colossal jerks)

I know that B:AA will be the best game of this year and no doubt go in my list of favorite games.

Well, that's me and my two cents. I look forward to being a member of this community.

I can remember running home after school to watch the batman reruns on tv in the 70's. I still have most of my comics from then also. My favorite comic recently has been the Hush series. I am a big JimLee fan. and love, love love tha animated series. Thats why I think that the game is so kewl, because of the voices. Mark Hammil rules!!!!

Hello, my name is Dennis, I´m 28 and from Germany (and my English is only basic - so sorry in advance for eventually missunderstanding!^^)

I never was THAT much interested in the Batman franchise or that superhero/comic-stuff. But I like videogames that are based on something (a movie, comic...). Actually I´m playing the Ghostbusters Videogame on my Xbox 360...

When I first played the Demo of Batman AA yesterday, I was like "OMG this is REALLY cool!" It reminded me on Bioshock somehow...
Now I´m waiting for August, 28th when Batman will be released here in Europe and hopefully I will have the money to buy the Limited Edition!^^

I'm Alli, I'm fifteen and I've been a fan of Batman since I can remember. I grew up watching Batman and Robin, and despite people thinking it's a bad movie it still holds a place in my heart for being the first movie I really watched. I adore the animated series, I just love every second of it. In fact, I was watching it today. xD

I'm a Batman fan at heart, I went around saying I was engaged to Bruce Wayne when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade. Along with writing absolutely dreadful crossover fics with Batman involved, but then again it was 2nd grade.

I overuse smiley faces, and it's not uncommon for me to have xD or XD three times in a two paragraph post. It's sad really.

I just recently got interested in Batman comics, seeing as I made my dad finally clean the garage with the 15k+ comics in it. I think I started reading them because after I read Watchmen I was looking for something else.

I cannot wait for Arkham Asylum, it's to the point I'm bargining doing my AP homework to get the game. xDD I've played the demo so many times.

I ADORE Joker and Harley. I'm a J/H fangirl, aswell as a Harley and Ivy fangirl. I spend too much time playing the sims with custom content.

I'm a writer, I roleplay too much and am currently co-writing a DC/Batman fanfiction. We're just not finishing chapter one, but I think it's good. I find it sad that there aren't too many DC Comic fans at the school I go to, so I get mocked and such. Fun, fun.

I don't like Heath Ledger's Joker, and I don't care if you hate me for it. If you're going to hate me for my opinion, I really don't want to waste my time with you anyway. -shrug-

Annd to wrap this off, I'd like to say tied with Batman, Star Wars is another one of my loves. I'm almost as much as a Obi-wan fangirl as I am a Batman fangirl.

That's my life story in a nice and condensed version. /fail

Hi everyone.

My name is Paul and I go by the handle of Batty999. I am known by this name on a number of Batman boards and at DeviantArt, where I post pictures of my Batman costumes and my Batman obsession.

I am 47 years old (I think that makes me the oldest here). I taught myself to read by reading Superman and Batman comics when I was about 3-4. As I was born in the early 60's, I grew up with comics and the Batman TV series with Adam West and Burt Ward. I first got interested in B-AA because of the costume. I really wanted to make one. I saw it as a challenge. It is still a work in pogress, but this what I have so far.

http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp76/batty999_photos/Arkham%20Video%20game%20suit/IMG_0288_a.jpg

I have a cowl coming that I think is very close to the look of the game cowl and a musclesuit to wear under the costume to bulk me up.

Any fellow Aussies here come and say hi at GenCon in Brisbane on September 19. I will be wearing this, so I won't be hard to miss.

After using the demo to get better pics for the costume design, I really got into the flow of the game and now have the CE on preorder and I am counting the days for its arrival.

Thanks for listening (reading), and I am excited for this game.

Paul

Greetings Everyone,

I'm gclhoutx and as you can tell I'm from Houston Texas and the first three letters are my initials. I've had a Kidney transplant in March of 93 and I just recently turned 38 years old on August 6th of this year. Have a AAS Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Worked several years doing database development for a software company. Then worked as a Network Operations Center supervisor for a local ISP but at the moment I am currently unemployed. More or less I would have to say that I am a video game addict.

I'm not really a big comic-book fan and only ever had 2 comic books my entire life, Both which were about wolverine. I'd have to say Spiderman was probably the main Comic-book hero I grew up with. Just due to a picture my Mom had on her office desk with me holding a book titled "Be nice to spiders" hence all my parents friends called me spiderman. Though when it comes to Batman, I'd have to say that I relate to him more because he is a more realistic character than the others. Where others rely on mutated skills or powers of some sort.

I grew up watching Adam West and Burt Ward portraying Batman and Robin, which I thought was a riot. I really like how Christopher Nolan's past two Batman movies were done and helped revive the Batman universe. Anyway from playing the PC Demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum I'd have to say Rocksteady and Edios have done a remarkable job. Also, From what I've seen so far from the different skins people are making hopefully they will release the game with a SDK pack. Be pretty funny to see a modded version of the game with the emote affects like Kapooow, Zoink, Biff, etc.. that were shown in the old television series.

Hi, my name's SladeTeck. My real name is Cody, I live here in Alabama.

I've been an avid comic fan of Batman, Superman, Justice League, anything DC or Marvel just about. Even some odder things here and there. Also have to say I've been following this game ever since I heard about it many moons ago from Game Informer. That's been a bit too, still it's good to have the final game almost here. Not to mention I'm an avid X-Box 360 gamer as well as sometimes on my PC, what it can run that is. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, to make a long story short I just joined last night/early morning, and hopefully I can put some useful input into these forums. As long as someone comes away with some bit of useless comic knowledge I'm happy.

Cheers! :) :D

I have been a fan of comics for my whole life, first i was only collecting Marvel, but since i watched the Batman Animated series, i am crazy about Batman and i collect all the batman comics. My hobbies are playing Football(Soccer), soon playing Batman : AA on my xbox 360 :P and just hanging out with my friends.

vesuveus
08-22-2009, 05:52 PM
My name is Vesuveus and I am from New York (a few hours car ride from the City). I'm going to be 30 years old this October.

I got an XBOX in 2002. In 2004 I started playing The Matrix Online almost exclusively. I was fortunate enough to have received a Wii last Christmas, but didn't necessarily want it. Now Arkham Asylum is next on my list and I'll be sticking with the PC as the platform. Xbox360 and PS3 didn't really appeal to me. I like the possibilities of gaming with PC.

I loved Batman as long as I can remember from the 70's sitcom that ran in syndication in my childhood in the 80's to the Animated Series from the 90's to the hundreds of comics I've collected since I was 10. Sadly, that last Batman comic I bought or read was when Jim Lee hyjacked the titles a few years ago.

It will be a nice change for me to get back into Batman lore after the long Matrix stint. I am very excited about the rave reviews for AA!

waz up...

I'm Clarence... and I am a failed musician working as a producer (lol) for a local radio station here in Fiji. I used to host a show but then opted to just do the work behind the scenes.

Obviously I'm a huge Batman fan, but also a fan of comics in general. I do a bit of drawing... and have a few comic strips in the local mags.

Aside from Batman I love me a good ol' Zombie movie now and then. I read and collect a lot of old school sci fi... mostly pulps from the 50s and 60s. And I love Garage and punk rock. But again... mostly the older stuff from like the 60s and 70s.

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)would have to be my 2nd favorite comic book hero...but a VERY close 2nd I must ad.

Oh hey. I'm Jenn, I'm 19. 6 months of the teen world to go. I'm from England, but I hang out in Chicago at least once a year, living on my friends couch.

I've been a batman fan since I was four or five. I had a big crush on Jim Carrey as the Riddler haha

I found my school work from 1995 and I drew this book called Batman (with a backwards b and t) and the pictures of batman were just like... a black scribble with ears. I'd like to think I'd improved since then.

Nowadays I just have a tiny obsession with Nightwing. I also find the whole Robin drama interesting. I think the first Batman novel I bought was A Death In The Family.

I like Chris O'Donnell. Batman Forever is my second favourite Batman movie. I know right? Controversial stuff.

Hello my name is Arthur Brown and I am the Cluemaster. After my daughter came back to life I'm now a working man and since I get kinda bored I decided to join this group. The doctors say I have a bit of schizo but you shouldn't pay attention to that.

(Hello my name is Ben and I've been a batman fan since I first saw the 1966 Batman movie.)

Why hello there!

After several months of lurking, I have finally decided to come out of my cave (sorry, it doesn't have any bats in it :< ). Like the rest of you, I have totally fallen in love (figuratively speaking) with the game (after hearing how mind bustingly awesome it was from friends and fellow moderators at another forum I help moderate). Among other silly things I do, I write that crazy stuff we call fanfiction.

In fact, I'm currently working on a Batman fanfic. If you all promise to ignore that nice man with the noose around his neck, I might share it!

All in all, nice to meet you all!

hiya! =D

Sooo, i'm gonna be kinda shy, but i thought i'd join this forum after lurking around a few days. I love Arkham Asylum, and after playing through it i wanted to learn more about batman aside from the movies. I've finally finished up the animated series (which is so good! =D), and i'm starting to read some of the comics. I'm still kinda a noob to bman though, but you all seemed pretty nice, and since this is now one of my favorite games, why not join a forum to talk about it eh?

Hi, I'm Freeze; and I like Batman because of the depth his character possesses. I actually haven't read more than 10 comics of Batman, but its because my nearest comic book store is a train ride and 15 minutes away (I'm 16). But I go out of my way to update myself on batman's various misadventures..
