Yes, it mentions him as a boss, and they were previewing the story mode, so they would presumably know.

One reason why I slightly prefer Burton is because, as he showed with the Penguin, he would have been willing to make the villains creepy and supernatural if necessary.

Same. I like Nolan's vision but there are TONS of villains that would never make it in his series. Man-Bat, Clayface, Killer Croc, etc.

Yeah, I hate how he has to make everything realistic. Burton's Gotham was gothic and dark, but Nolan's Gotham is Chicago. Nothing done to make it feel distinct. It honestly looks like Batman: The Chicago Edition. If he can't make a villain that is slightly supernatural, he turns them into a gangster or tries to add in "realism".

Ensanguined Walls
05-21-2009, 10:31 PM
The flaw in Nolan's thinking is this: Why do you think we read comics in the first place? Batman wasn't meant to be hyper-realistic. It's a freaking vigilante dressed as a gigantic bat fighting criminals in an American city!

Ensanguined Walls
05-21-2009, 10:33 PM
The only reason why I prefer Nolan is because the acting is better. He doesn't understand the essential silliness of Batman, and he tries to make it realistic instead of a comic adaptation. This is Batman, not The Godfather. Burton embraced the concept fully and made Gotham feel like it was in another universe.

According to GameInformer, how much health you lose and regenerate ties into how much exp you earn.

According to what we know from the previews, the Bane battle will involve confusing Bane, having him charge through walls, and then cutting into his tubes as he attempts to gather himself. There will also be cinematic moments in-between in.

If Clayface is in the game I think he may appear very briefly. Having disguised himself as a trusted character throughout much of the game.

Zombie-Gamer
05-22-2009, 09:58 AM
Well with Clayface in the game is a good way to have loads of villians cause Clayface could just change into them, Plus a boss fight with Clayface would be solid.

Good idea but it will be sort of obvious almost. Batman can determine it depending how easily Batman saved him and clayface could play the part.

I would definitely love to challenge him.

I didn't like how he mentioned stealth kill. That's not what we are doing, right?
He also said we might get to kill some villains too.

In the article there is one point he said that you can blow up the roof (woah, at least we wouldn't be just sticking with just only walls)

angleslam99

Clayface could be disguised as Commissioner Gordon the entire time!!!!

The Jedi Guardian
05-22-2009, 10:48 AM
Yeah, but when Oracle says, "Batman where are you, Batman says, "I am in the Arkham Manision (random place) with Commissioner Gordon." "WHAT?!, I looked for him on the Arkham Asylum cameras and he is still in The Intensive Treatment." Batman: Then I know what that means, WHAM.

If clayface was pretending to be Gordon and Gordon was still captured. It would be obvious, but if this is what they were going to do they would probably do a better job at it than me.

angleslam99
05-22-2009, 11:00 AM
I think it'd be cool to reveal clayface like this (i know people could have better ideas)

Batman & Gordon follow the trail of the Joker but then it suddenly stops dead in its tracks. Batman could say something along the lines of "The trail is dead" and they found themselves in a locked environment. Batman is then shoved against the wall (we dont see who yet), and then the camera pans over to see Gordon with a long arm (stretched out). Batman falls to the ground as Gordon transforms himself back into Clayface as he towers over Batman. Then have one of the TVs pop on where Joker claims that he has Gordon locked in a cell in a different part of the mansion with explosives or poisonous gas, or whatever.

Small idea, could be cool no matter what they do with clayface

DarkKnightDanny
05-22-2009, 11:58 AM
id love to see a clay face fight where throughout the fight he transforms himself into a few chars that might give batman a reason not to hit him, like so;

batman starts out fighting a generic thug, beat him down a little then he transforms into nightwing, little dialogue then you beat him down a little.then he morps into two-face,cutscene/dialogue. beat him down, morp, robin. rinse and repeat.

could be a very very psychological fight, which fits perfect with the whole asylam theme

I know it may not work, at all, but what if Clayface had been impersonating Oracle?
Would that mean that he would have to know Batman's secret identity? And do the villains even know who Oracle is?
I just like the idea of the person giving you support turning into your enemy. Look how well it worked in Metal Gear Solid. I really didn't see it coming.

I actually hope the radio system is like the one in MGS. I want to hear opinions on the bosses. See how different characters see them. I can only imagine what Barbara Gordon would have to say about The Joker.
I'll grant you, it would be plagirism. But it would work.

The villains know that Oracle exists, but not who she is. They probably wouldn't be able to impersonate her, since they'd never find where she is, and the line is so secure that Batman himself would have trouble hacking in.

If Clayface is going to impersonate anyone, it'll probably be either Gordon or an important doctor at Arkham that you have to save, like Dr. Arkham himself (think of Decoy Octopus impersonating the DHARPA Chief, but instead of him dying right away he continues to "help" you)
