I Know its quite a lot to ask, but seeing as you have a LQ camera, do you reckon you could take an individual picture of each screenshot?
And same for the writing, or you could type up the article...
It would be great for all of us :)

If Batman had time to plan how he'd defeat Wolverine, then yes. Batman would win.
But if Batman is caught off-guard, Wolverine would tear him apart.

But if Batman is caught off-guard, Wolverine would tear him apart. No, Batman really doesn't need much time to plan. He could still kill him, my bad, beat him, with his judo and martial arts, not to mention one of those liquid nitrogen pellets ought to hold Wolverine. Batman would win no matter what.

Too bad Batman would probabbily use an adimantium cage to keep wolverine in, somewhere in a enclosed location. So it would take him a while to get out.

Yes, but there are several ways to keep wolverine tamed without killing him and batman not to have to worry about him.
1)The smartest scenario would likely involve using hypersonics. Wolverine has metal grafted on his bones..that includes the skull..the hypersonics would reverberate so much that:
- He would be stunned and discombobulated.
- His eardrums would explode.
Even though the healing factor would heal his eadrums, it would NOT stop him from being knocked unconcious. Or becoming so messed up by the movement in his head that he would throw-up for about 20 minutes before passing out due to weakness. Leaving Batman with a safe exit.
2) Batman would be possible to seperate wolverine's flesh from his body just leaving the organs neccassry for wolverine's survival, and thus that would not be considered killing.
And big whoop Batman will eventually die from other causes, but still not by wolverine
door noob
05-03-2009, 07:41 PM
A better scenario would be Wolverine vs. the Joker.
Pointless, but funny.

People forget Wolverine's a martial artist with claws sometimes and even if he weren't nothing counters a back roundhouse kick better than three claws in the leg. Speaking as a third party outsider who doesn't like either character over the other (I tried to choose one over the other, but couldn't. They're both so cool) It doesn't matter what batman could muster up. Wolverine's freakin indestructible! Not only that, but he has a healing factor. There is absolutely nothing short of the Muramasa sword Wolverine forged using part of his own soul that can stop him and for Batman to know that he'd not only have to read up on Wolverine, but he'd have to break his rule cuz let's face it Wolverine has none. I don't know why anyone thinks Batman would win. Maybe it's Jackman.

Then again we could even out the odds like I stated above using a adimantium suit for batman which wouuld be capable of enchanting several of the users abilities, after this only hand to hand combat remains and et's face it both are familiar to it. And wolverine is breaking his own rule, since wolverine did train under the influnce of samuri's like Batman did he should limit his "killings".

Batman's a very smart man. Wolverine's animalistic.
Batman would know about Logan's nature, because he studies his foes before he engages. And he's got Oracle on his side so there's no government secret he can't uncover. So, let's just say that Batman would know EVERYTHING about Logan before Wolvie ever would even see a shadow of the bat (Haw!).
At this point, the unknown is Wolverine's greatest enemy. Batman knows his patterns, his fighting styles, the places he frequents. I mean, face it.. This is The Worlds Greatest Detective. Wolverine's got no, and I repeat NO chance against something like that.
One word: Electromagnet.
Now after disabling him, all it takes is an adamantium cell in Arkham Asylum. All the talk about 46 panheads off the line and other tales about wars he's obviously too young in appearence to be a part of would ensure his very long stay in Arkham.
And Batman wouldn't even have to lay a finger on him.

Doesn't matter how much Batman knows about Wolverine. Wolverine would just slice his neck, rip-out his spine, stab his heart, stab his head, etc.

Electromagnet. Read: Bats wouldn't have to be anywhere near him to disable him. There's no stabbing, slicing, spine-rips, etc. because knowing Logan's strengths and weaknesses means he can manipulate the outcome from the cave if he wanted to.
Let's not even start talking about taking Wolvie on a wild goose chase through a super heavy particle collider. Which Batman's smart enough to do.
Outliving everyone doesn't mean he won the battle. Which would be worse: dying or multiple lifetimes in a cell reliving that day you got owned by someone smarter than you?
Someone should start a thread on this other than hijacking this one over and over, because I can talk about this stuff all day every day.

Wolverine blows. Professor X would turn him in to a retard and dude can't even walk, lol. Naw, but seriously, Batman is a far more intricate character and far more impressive, when you take in to account that he has no special powers yet is still able to hold his own against other characters who do. If they didn't have any special powers, Batman would probably own their ass all day long. And that's about any character you could name. And who cares in the end anyway, there's about a hundred hero's and villians alike that could beat Wolverine physically. It's mental superiority that really makes you dangerous, and Batman's obviously got ol' Wolvie beat in that department. He would mind f*** the poor dude.

Batman can die, Wolverine can't.
Batman doesn't kill, Wolverine does.
SO..even if Batman had time to plan and all that bulls**t, Wolverine would just come back and shank him in his sleep.
Even with his healing powers he could be defeated. With his head severed of his body, or his heart pulled out, or a bullet right into his brains (if it was possible to penetrate his skull.) Wolverine couldn't survive that.
If anyone watched the 'heroes' serie on television you can see that Claire Bennet, Sylar and Arthur Petrelli (After consuming Adam Monroe/Takezo Kensei) can be destroyed and they have better healing powers then Wolverine has.
So batman would OWN Wolverine's ass.
Now let's get back onto the topic.

Wolverine has a weakness his weakness is his head getting shot, or getting hit by something hard which causes him to have loss of memory.
Memory loss doesn't kill him.

It talks about how the Joker moves differently than Batman, it's not just a reskin. About what "gadgets" he has. It also goes into a bit about how finding the solutions to the Riddler parts require some work...

Yeah when people say its a reskin then Joker isnt gonna be his OWN character. I would guess he has a pistol, and his toxins stuns. Maybe have a knife too.
See, if it ISNT a reskin that means the Joker has to have something unique or some sort of moves. Then that opens the door for any character to come into the game.

Welcome To the Mad House
Most definitely the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Batman is, understandably, suspicious. He points out to Commissioner Gordon that Joker gave in to capture just a little bit too easily. And given Arkham’s security record, where breakouts and escapes are way too commonplace, mischief is clearly afoot. But while the game is set deep inside the most complete recreation of the infamous mental health care facility in comic book history, Batman: Arkham Asylum is its own story, and takes its own rightful place in DC universe lore.
“It’s true that it’s ‘ungameable’,” says Sefton Hill, the game’s creative director, of Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, Grant Morrison’s genre-bending novel that delved into the history of the place, as well as the crazed psychology of it’s inhabitants,(and visitors, in Batman’s case). “But it’s a great setting for the game, being in the belly of the beast,” adds studio director Jamie Walker, “and we reference the tone of [Morrison’s] Arkham Asylum to infuse a lot of that feeling.” If you’re familiar with the graphic novel, you’ll have a tiny head start in recognizing the significance of the cryptic symbols etched into the floors, or the propensity for beetles to scurry around each environment.
For the development team, crafting a cohesive Asylum was less straightforward than you might expect. No true floor plan exists, despite its appearance in numerous movies and comic books. “It’s true that we’re creating DC continuity,” says Walker, “because the game is more in-depth than the comics or films. Each room of Arkham Asylum has to be mapped to make sense in the interactive game world, where the movie can stitch together locations on a whim.” So Rocksteady’s setting provides that required cohesive progression from the entryway, through security rooms, the library, and cells, and even outdoors to the botanical gardens surrounding this austere building.
Come One, Come All
Jamie Walker is quick to point out that this Batman game is not based on any movie license. In fact, the studio was working on a first-person shooter when they learned of Eidos signing a deal with Warner Brothers to work on the studio’s properties. Rocksteady won the resulting pitch and work began on a design that was then shepherded by DC Comics according to Walker “to ensure there was no inadvertent crossover with [The Dark Knight] movie.” Though in development for two full years, the game was fully playable within five months. “You could play it start to finish before we even saw a frame of the film,” says Hill. But this separation of game and film is not so much defensive positioning as it is establishing that Batman: Arkham Asylum its own standalone beast.
“We want to make sure there are details that people unfamiliar with the characters will enjoy, for those who don’t know all the back story and aren’t au fait with the graphic novels,” says Walker. Aside from the nods and winks to that material, the game includes an absolute mountain of unlockables that provide insight and background to all the characters. The wheelchair-bound Oracle (Commissioner Gordon’s daughter, Barbara) provides intel as Batman seeks out Joker and his crazy comrades in crime, and you can find out how she ended up in the chair by reading the detail included on her bio card. There are 42 of these character bios to unlock that showcase exclusive artwork by art studio Wildstorm (headed by longtime DC artist Jim Lee) and hints on how you might combat some of the larger denizens, deep in the vaults.
Death From Above
Playing in third-person perspective lets you see all the environmental detail, which is vital given the detective element of the gameplay. Sure, pummeling goons in a combo-fueled beat-‘em-up format is par for the course for Batman, nut accessing the detective mode, scanning the environment for bad guys, points of interest, and escape routs adds impressive depth to the gameplay. Casting a blue sheen over the environment, this mode highlights enemies through walls and outlines the gargoyles leering in the ceilings that provide perfect observation perches and the launch pad for silent strikes. Grappling from perch to perch puts the emphasis on Batman’s stealth abilities. Sure, he can drop to the floor and run at the goons, but later in the game when they turn up armed with shotguns or tasers, that tactic will result in a quick save reload.
“It’s not just about stealth, though,” says Hill of this mechanic, “but his detective side.” That means using the mode to search out power switches or figure out the code to type into a keypad. Early in the game, as you pursue Dr. Young who has been captured by Joker and carried off into the depths of the asylum, after scanning in detective mode you’ll find a trail of green fingerprints pointing the way.
One of its most creative uses is finding The Riddler’s question mark symbols. Some 240 riddles are concealed throughout the environment, but finding them isn’t simply a case of switching on detective mode and looking all around. If you spot the curved top part of a question mark, is the dot directly below it? Possibly not. You’ll have to move around the space, locate the dot, and then line it up correctly to form the question mark in order for it to trigger that the riddle is “solved.” Solving each riddle could earn a character Trophy or an interview tape with some famous inmates.

It might, but the other villains in the game aren't as gifted with gadgets as Joker and Batman. Then again, if you could control Bane or Croc as an extra, who needs gadgets.

Now let's get back onto the topic.
that isnt true watch X2 he gets shot in the head and his body heals and pushes the bullet out also claire sylar and peters healing factors are not even close to Wolverines with claires healing factor her body cant heal unless the head is placed back on her body or the bullet is removed ect. ect. but wolverines body would force the bullet out there is only one way to kill him which is cut off his head im tired of the common conception that Batman or Wolverine can always find a way to defeat the person in question but to be honest THESE CHARACTERS ARE FICTIONAL therefore i could trash batman or wolverine because all i would have to do is rip their comic book in half okay but really back to the subject i really like the idea with flower shooting acid and regarding the aiming you could aim the same way you would aim batmans batarang

Exactly. It talks about how he has a gun, which is difficult to aim (on purpose) and has a lengthy reload period but can be devastating. Mention is made of a Trophy/Achievement for shooting through three enemies...
Also, how if you point to shoot in the opposite direction, he won't turn around suddenly but instead shoot behind his shoulder or under his leg...
His detective mode, as has been mentioned is different...a pair of swirly glasses that let him see through walls. Also of note, the "thugs" in his challenges look like other character's in the game. So you'll be tangling with The Commissioner...
Chattering teeth are a weapon...Guards will be attracted by the sound and then you can detonate :lmao:

There actually was a IGN poll about the most popular comic hero, and Wolverine beat Batman. Now what does a poll matter you think? Because crossover comic fights are always about the popular one winning. So really screw all the theorycrafting and whatnot, whoever is the most popular wins in the script. :p

:(.
Tho it would be an interesting subject on having those two meet, especially a pg-13 movie like Hulk vs. Wolverine/Thor (both being amazingly good animated films) and such. ;)
Got a question about the Joker challange maps, has the number been confirmed? It was said to be maps (thus plural!) so just wondering how much extra hours does it actually provide. (estimated ofcourse)

well lets take a look at how long the demo shown by sefton hill took. i think it was like 6 minutes? hes the game developer so lets say that it takes an average person about...8-10 mintues, and we will round it off at 9 for calculation purposes. so 9 minutes per challenge map and 13 challenge maps in existence. so 9 * 13= 117 minutes, or roughly two hours to get through all the maps once as an average person. then there is replay chalanges, geting better at it, time changes and so on.
id say that on average it would only take 2 hours to do a once through and that it could probably provide for days of playing through just for the sake of getting through the challenges (and when i say days i mean playing the game for like 6 hours a day).
however, this is all just an educated guess mind you.
edit: and i just realized you where asking about the joker maps, not the regular challenge maps. my bad.

well yeah, i remember hearing that there where 12 regular maps and the extra crime ally challenge map bumps it up to 13, but i could be wrong. MY understanding is that there are going to be 12 main maps and an extra one.
