hey folks,

I am a huge fan of the game and can't wait for it, so i'm often in this forum to read any news. and I think the following wasnt posted yet.

gameone is a german gamingshow at mtv and i couldnt believe my eyes when bats popped out! they got a huge previewversion, i think because they go into vacation and they had to test a lot of stuff, so its pretty up to date i think! there are a lot of new scenes i've never seen before, and the fighting is in a better quality than the one we've seen from the gamestores...

as you can see, its not THAT easy like the combat mode. if they have guns you have to think, and even at the gargoyles they are shooting at you. the detective mode seems very cool, can't wait!

dont worry, its nothing you dont already know. they compare it to the comic,they say its promising and seems to be enjoyable for fans and hardcoregamer in general...

Wow that was kickass. I can't understand german, but still, that vid rocked. It's also interesting to see that Batman could easily get shot down. Now that I see how quickly Batman dies, this changes things up a bit.

It's nice to see some new footage on Bats it's nice to see the stealth and once spotted you need to get the hell out of there and they can still spot you it's nice to see how smart the AI is.

I know a few people have said they think it's stupid but this video shows different I can't wait but I got to = NO..........................(lol).

yeah that game play was really cool. There is a part in it where he is fighting a lot of people and the button combination X+A comes up and it has a word next to it and im trying to translate what it says but i can't read it clear enough, if someone else can let me know what it says that would be awesome.

That's amazing they even featured some of the detective mode and how it works, aswell for the gun power mentioned way above ^ awsome! Gordon also appeared captured by harley near the end.

Awesome!!! Looks like Batman Arkham Asylum is similar to Metroid Prime: Corruption. Metroid was a great game. We got a little Amygdala gameplay, where he is trying to ram into Batman. Looks like Batman will capture Harley, from the that quick cinematic. Can't wait.

I really liked seeing Batman get shot, just so I definitely know how impossible it is to take on a bunch of armed thugs with just your fists.

i think they did this tv show a few weeks back and they only knew that there are some pushbacks (dont know the right word, sorry) and they wanted to be save by saying its out 6. july. they do not always hit the right date in their show... but even than, i've they keep the good work and do the balancing right (as you all know, the hand to hand combat stuff seems to be a little to easy) i'm fine with that.

and yes, they compared it to metroid. but i think, a game that fits more to batman is assassins creed. i mean look, there is a fighting stance (hand to hand or weapons in AC) where you can attack, counter and stuff, and there is the sneaking mode. and if you are at the roof you're able to disapear.
but eidos, WB and the developer thought a lot of things related to batman and did an awesome job to modify it ... i'm really excited!

I liked the gunfire when Batman was on the gargoyles. Someone on the forum was talking smack about how easy it would be to simply disappear if you were seen and that just goes to show it's not that simple.

The oversized thug was definity Amygdala. One room, a hulk-sized villain, Batman nowhere to retreat, definite villain.

Surrendered without a fight remember. I don't even think there was an intention of making the capture interactive. The big fight would be later.

Oh that. Yeah. At least that's what I kept hearing awhile back. In fact if you check this (http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/batmanarkhamasylum/news.html?sid=6203860&om_act=convert&om_clk=newsfeatures&tag=newsfeatures;title;3) out, you'll see that some of the stuff they were talking weren't even in any of the cutscenes we've seen of Joker Asylum bound (coughs Killer Croc).

We don't see much of the Joker's descent into Arkham. Every preview has mentioned you coming across Killer Croc. Apparently, it's a very long interactive cutscene.

Very nice video, certainly appears like Amygdala in that scene, but it is too blurry to tell for sure. Hopefully someone can get subtitles for the vid soon.

Good decision. Makes it less likely that the character model will block your view.

he said, he's reading bats since 1968, arkham asylum got crazy prisoners, but the guys who are running the institution are even more crazy. and that batman is only human and not invincible. nothing we dont already know, really.

and as i said, the releasedate says 6.july, but i guess they said it because of precaution...

Basically the same language, seeing as they're both Germanic and share a lot of words (Except Dutch is loads simpler) but yeah, it's German, the accent's are German.

You have to sneak around and terrify them, take them out one by one without being seen... and if they do see you, you have to actually go somewhere they can't see to disappear... and even then, it's n ot guaranteed.
