I'm a pessimist, so the only thing I can think of when it gets pushed back is they found a major issue in gameplay. They pushed it back two weeks. But hopefully something positive will happen like a demo since they saw that the release date was really close to now.

You are correct, eidos says June 2009

So the dates are: June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, and June 30

Also, both gamestop and amazon changed it at nearly the same time
The only way this couldve happened is if they were informed

Therefore this is most likely the official release date, but eidos doesn't want to seem like idiots so they're not giving it directly until the game is done and they go into marketing phase(demos, commercials, etc)

maybe, or maybe they just thought they needed more time for an awesome marketing campaign and a demo. I know we all have been following this game for quite a while but I know some people that had no idea that this game was coming out

Just because it has a 4 month marketing campaign does not effect the release date, I mean what are they stop advertising the day it comes out? Of course not, it just means they are going to be advertising it for 4 months, they will probably still be advertising after the game comes out. So I don't think its coming out in August

In my opinion, as well as several others, the later the release date is pushed, the better it will be. I mean, this game is already presumed to be in the top 10 best games of the year, and the more they work on it, it can be number one. IMAGINE, a BATMAN game being the best game of the year.

i think they keep pushing it back because of the marketing campaign more then anything else. i mean E3 was only a few days before the June 9th release date, and i'm sure edios wants to give as much time possible for word of mouth to spread about the game from E3.

Seriously, the kiosk demos are out. It's funny because if Eidos and WB want the word of mouth to spread just upload the trailer to tv networks. I mean if they want us to be more hyped about this game we'll all end up like this little guy :lmao: . It's weird to about their marketing because DCUOnline already has more screenshots, videos and even 2 videos on the Psn store and yet that game's getting released in December. This might actually be a really good viral marketing campaign because they're leaving us feeling around as blind as a bat.

Can't say I'm too happy about this. I'm a poor soul who works in GameStop and had to watch it keep bouncing back and forth between release dates, and it drove me crazy. Seeing it streetdated for the 9th was great, finally felt like "This is it!" and then boom!

But as long as it's going to rock - and the smart part of my mind says this is for the better in that aspect - I'll be a happy girl though.

I'm kind of angry and happy at the same time. My impatience is making me angry that this game is getting pushed back, but I'm happy because it means more time for fixes, marketing, and demo. I want this game to be perfect if it has the chance for game of the year.

Just got the June 2009 PC Gamer and there was an advertisement saying Batman will be releasing June 9th (instead of the 23rd via Game Informer)
