As you all know, Batman's outfit has some different tweaks to it. I noticed that the costume looks a little different from the comics. If you look closely you'll see small circular notches in the body suit. This would indicate that its more than just spandex.

It seems like the suit was built by piecing together different sized flexible protective-plates covered in durable fabric. Its got a more realistic look I think, especially if he's going to take gunfire. But in the more recent game photos I find that the suit takes damage, and it looks like ripped spandex!

If he's really just wearing spandex, then what are those notches for?
I heard that the suit will look more torn as the game goes on, but I think it changes its look based on how much damage you take. So when you regain health, the suit looks repaired.
As for myself, I'm expecting my suit to look untouched by the end of the game:D

All I know is that you can upgrade the suit so maybe you can upgrade the materials and that is how the suit will take more damage. Perhaps upgrading the suit will even change the cosmetics of it. That would be hella cool.

Those "notches" (rivets) are indicating it is pieced together padding, which Batman has had at times in the comics as well. It's still like kevlar padding, able to be torn, so I don't have a problem with it ripping as it takes damage. He's not wearing the movie-like body armor here.

I love the suit's look. It's very realistic. It shows me that I could have been happy if this was the look that Nolan's Batman had instead of the combat-armored suit. It shows that the comics can fare just as well in "live action" without the need of too much modification (or any) and their costumed looks work.

Anyway, he looks awesome. I can't wait for the game.

Someone earlier had mentioned the knuckles on his fists, and that those could be upgraded. I'm just curious whether or not the blades on the sides of his gauntlets will be used, and if so how? Those things look pretty damn lethal.

In the beginning of the Silent Knight Challenge Room video, you can see that Batman even has claws of a sort. I wonder if these claws could be upgraded as well.

Yeah I noticed the cape thing too. I like to notice things that aren't meant to be noticed and I noticed in the gameplay that the cape only went like into his body 1 time. That is good considering the cape should be almost perfect. Can't wait for this game:thumb:

There was a comic where Batman used them to slice an escaped inmates' face:eek: .
I doubt that will happen in this game maybe he'll use them to break locks or climb walls.
As far as the suit goes, the kevlar padding idea makes sense. Its not as indestructible as the movie suit, but still looks realistic. Great design choice. I also notice that the cape and cowl are black in some scenes and blue in others?

I have noticed that as well and I think it's either the lighting in certain rooms reflecting off of the leather cape or the capture equipment settings.

I think it's more the colorization of the sites showcasing it. I do not believe, looking at the best source material from the images, that the cape and cowl are meant to be blue in any way. They're black, through and through.
