I just hit the Midgard Serpent glitch at the start where the ramp isn't raised. Do you have to redo the entire level from the start of Mexico to avoid this glitch?
Regardless, I'm extremely disappointed with the amount of appearent bugs in this game. I doubt I'll hit anymore since I've put the game down until some sort of patch is released correcting these errors.
When I started playing this game, there were a few minor annoyances. Some camera problems, frequent control problems which just made me sigh and think how sad it was this game was just rushed out the door to make a quick buck instead of giving it the polish it deserved. I didn't expect to be unable to finish the game because there were game breaking glitches within it.
As customers (like everyone else on this board), we spend our money on these games because we something to enjoy. We have faith in the developer to deliver us an enjoyable experience. Releasing an incomplete game just to make money is just a slap across the face to everyone who purchased the game. This game needed at least another 2 months of developement (that's being generous) before it would have been acceptable for a release.
Even worse, there doesn't seem to be a patch yet fixing these errors as a quick scan across this board and many others show countless people still experiencing problems. Instead of releasing a patch to fix this incomplete game, they create downloadable content, to further get money out of us. It's a pity, because honestly, I was having a blast until I hit this glitch. It reminded me why I enjoyed the first game on the Saturn over a decade ago. Now the chances of me (and I hope others who have been effected by these glitches) of buying the downloadable content are slim to none. How am I supposed to further my gaming experience when I couldn't even complete it to begin with?
This has probably been said by many before or will probably get locked/deleted, but my frustrations with this game are something I need to express. I've never been burned by a game like this before and it stinks. Hopefully Eidos does something to repay the fans they let down by releasing this travesty upon the gaming public. And no, I don't think free downloadable content of useless game add on's is an acceptable apology. Give us a reason to want to spend our money on your games again.
I really doubt any of this was Crystal Dynamic's fault; of course they would want to release the best game they could. Unfortunately, Eidos pushed this one out of the door against their will, and now Crystal Dynamic has to suffer for it.
I truly want another Tomb Raider game, but I do not want to see it released until it has been perfected. By releasing something with this many problems just shows that Eidos has no integrity. Please don't let me see Tomb Raider on the shelf again until it is ready, not because the holidays are approaching and it would be the perfect time to cash in.
Thanks for reading if anyone did and I'm sorry to bore you with such whining. I just needed to express my disappointment.
