Cannot fiqure dangling rope jump

I am playing on PC. Boy, no matter how hard I try and no matter how many times I have tried, I still land on the bottom dead. :mad2:
I figured out with help how to go up and down the rope but the minute I hit movement key to swing forward, Lara climbs back up where she started and then swings. This is driving me crazy. I cannot land on the ledge from the rope. How in the world is this done?

While I am at it, I hate the grappling hook too..

When you hang from the rope, just press forward, that's it. Press the jump button to release. :thumb:

Unless..........you are playing with manual grab option, I have never tried that (yeah I feel ashamed right now :o ). It might be different then, but I am not sure how.

Oh, I have tried and tried. I know how to climb the rope. Know how to jump also but for some reason she cannot grab the ledge from rope. She has died many many and can I say many more times. Something is missing? at this point ....my mind:nut:

I don't remember any ropes in TR:A :scratch: unless I am sadly mistaken.

Specifically, what part of the game are you up to, whereabouts?

Are you playing the game with manual grab cos if so that would be the reason shes not automatically grabbing the rope.
You can change this in the options menu.
But when shes on the rope you use the interact button to climb up and down and forward and back to swing, and jump to well...jump:o

the only place i can think of a rope, is well... Atlantis... is that the bit right at the beginning with the rope and you swing to the ledge, coz i have done that on 360, sumtimes she looks like she won't grab, but you have to swing real hard until she is oh-mega high and then press jump, if you have manual grab, i'm sure that's the problem... :D
