Hey,
I've just bought TR:U, installed it and updated everything, gfx drivers, windows update etc. and also the game to v1.1 - furthermore I installed the latest DirectX.
The symptoms:
When I run setup;
Message appears: "Your computer has the Direct3D Debug Runtime enabled. This can cause significantly reduced performance and will lower graphics quality."
setup starts.
When I run the game;
Message appears: "Your computer has the Direct3D Debug Runtime enabled. This can cause significantly reduced performance and will lower graphics quality."
setup starts.
Game appears to load, but the screen remains black with cursor present - nothing happens, I ALT-TAB out to see another error saying "Could not initialise DirectInput!"
I press ok and back to desktop.
I've tried disabling my AV program Avast! and all other services unknown to me in the job list.
My specs - E6400 cpu, 7900 GTX, 2 GB DDR2 ram, DFI Infinity 975X/G, latest drivers, Windows XP Home - SP3.
