Jan Mayen gates closing too fast!

I can't figure out how to get through those two gates in the Jan Mayen maze. I hang on the poles, wait until the gate is all the way open, and the darn gates close almost immediately after I jump off to board my bike next to me.. I don't even have enough time to get on my bike before I hear the gate slam shut. What gives? :scratch:

Same problem whether I'm trying to get through the close gate for a treasure and definitely the one that's all the way through the maze where the relic is.

Do you place the block right under the pole or to the side of it? When you place it right under it, Lara can hang from it but the pole won't come down enough to get through the gate in time.

Was there a gate to go further in the level? I thought only to find the Relic.............:confused:

I can't figure out how to get through those two gates in the Jan Mayen maze. I hang on the poles, wait until the gate is all the way open ... Don't wait for the gates to fully open. The gates don't work like the ones where Lara stands on a pad and had to wait for one to open. The pole is a trigger to start the door sequence; as soon as Lara pulls on the pole, release the pole, get on the bike and head into the door. The door will continue to open slowly, then close soon after.

If you're on a PC, I have a savegame with Lara in the relic room.

ilucky, did you try to get to the gates? Even if the pole went all the way up, it doesn't mean that the gate had already closed.

My problem was I was hanging on the bar and waiting for the gate(s) to open completely. Solved by jumping onto the bar and then a quick Ctrl to drop off the second the bar pulled down, hopping on my trusty bike and tearing azz through the maze and the open gate.

All relics in hand, in Treasure Hunt mode, but not enough patience to go find EVERY treasure I missed. I think it's time for a replay from the start. (And has anyone found the lingerie mode yet?) :whistle:
