Those of us that played GE to death got REALLY attached to several levels, Complex, Stack, Basement, and Bunker being the 'big ones'. So, you give these people a mapmaker and of course they are going to try to recreate some fond memories. Personally, I wish they had included Temple, Complex and Facility in the TS2 multi-player maps like they did in PD...perhaps the individuals who made those particular maps aren't currently with FreeRadical and there were copyright laws preventing their use?

The reason they didnt put those GE maps we wish for so much (and I speculate) is because GE and PD were both created by Rare, and published by Nintendo. Although Rare had lost the Bond license after GE they were able to include certain maps in PD because the maps (and I speculate again) were created originally by Rare. This might also be why Bunker was not included in PD as it was featured in the GE movie. Free Radical has no license for those GE/PD maps, even though some of the programmers once worked for Rare. Because of that, there are no Rare-made maps on TS2.

but back on topic:

becuase the Facility was created by a GENIUS! and it's so much fun to bring back memories of good ol goldeneye days. The bunker is one level I'll always miss.. but this one can kinda be remade on TS2.

Making your own version of another game(s levels) can be a lot of fun - its a challenge to adapt the TS2 tiles to the 'original' version, and you can throw in that rocket launcher you always wanted! :D

It doesn't have to stop with videogames though - I've made a cool bagsnatch level based on the monopoly board, with teleports to Chance and Community Chest for loads of top weapons (and some shrinks for a laugh!). I also used a (victorian) crossed bridge tile for the jail, with a dark flickering light above. Try running across that in a hurry! Then if you drop in your left with proximity mines to kill yourself... fancy hanging around a bit though and you can mine all the approaches to the jail from below for a nasty surprise for other players! He he he... not tested it in multiplayer yet though.
