Framerate stuttering

I'm running this game at resolution 1680x1050 with vsync on and all settings on ultra.

I didn't think my computer would be this laggy with my hardware configuration:

Phenom X4 9550 @ 2.75 Ghz
Radeon HD 4850 @ 750/1050
4 GB RAM @ DDR2-1000

Does this require a Core 2 Duo @ 3 Ghz or something to get smooth framerates? I've tried dropping my hardware to stock clocks but the problem is still there.

Is there a patch or driver to allievate this?

Oh, a patch was released yesterday!

I will try it out and let you know my results.

Ok I found out that there was a huge difference between 4x AA and 8x AA with my card... a difference of like 25 FPS.

Problem is fixed now! BTW I love this game!

Camera can be a little crazy in tight areas, and sometimes I get stuck in branches but nonetheless great work!

If you are still interested in getting higher AA settings: I have a similar system (well, the same, just without the overclocking you seem to be doing) and I had to de- and reinstall the Ati-Drivers, as a different game (AD 1701) was giving me some troubles. After that, TRU ran much more smoothly, I was able to use 8xAA and 16xAF up to 1920x1200. Vsync on the other hand is still tricky...
