Help Wanted. Stuck In Thailand- PC

Hmm.. This is weird... Back at the Shiva statue, brought down the first arm... On To the next... But how? And there is a bug after this.. When I get down on the courtyard, you see a broken balustrade, this I can walk right into, and get stuck in there.. My guess, something is to be done there, but how can I do this as it seems to be some kind of a bug there?

Please anyone?

There should be a grapple pole up top you can use to scale the wall and climb up.

After you bought down the first arm etc, you would have got down to the bottom via a pole that you pull out of the wall with the grapple then lower Lara down to the bottom.....there is another pole like this on the other side.

edit: how did I miss those red letters saying you solved it.....I need to go to specsavers!

Sounds like the bug was caused by bypassing some of the gameplay and getting down to the bottom without using the lift.

I'm in the same area with a slightly different problem. Took care of the mechanism on the left side, pulled the pin. On the right side I dropped the pole that I was supposed to place in the column to use to jump up and get to the right side to pull the pin. It's out side the wall where I crouch to get thru after swinging over on the rope. I can't pick it up and I can't seem to find a alternate way to get up. Been on this for hours and I don't really want to start over again.
Any help will be appreciated:

Oh boy......did you try to 'kill' Lara and see if the pole is back when the checkpoint reloads?

You really need that pole to climb up there, I don't think there is any other way....:(

I've killer her about 20 times trying to jump and swing and all sorts of things. There seems to be no other way. I have never saved the game except thru auto save and now it just brings me to the same point at the beginning of the level. I hope I don't have to start at new game but I don't know what else to do. I'm olaying the PC version. You would think I have other options.

How did you manage to get the pole to the other side? :scratch:

With PC version you could download someone else's savegame. :)

Didn't know where it went so I decided to take it with me, crouched down and went to the other side, when I stood up it dropped and I have not been able to pick it up since. Sometimes the icon for pick up shows but it still won't let me pick it up.

Is there a way to go back and start at the beginning of Thailand?

Huh. :scratch: Must've been a bug for you to be able to carry it while crouched.

Only way for you would be to download someone else's save game... (google search or search these forums, you're bound to find one somewhere).

Think I'll just go back and start over again. I'm not that far in and I'll be able to pick up some relics and treasures that I missed.

I've come across this problem, and I can't pull down the pole on the other side now. I went the normal way (instead of using the cheat Josh found on the demo) and I can't get to the left side. I can't pull down that pole at all. :eek: I couldn't in the demo either.

So you are saying you pulled down the grapple thing on the other side (at the top), came down, and now you can't grapple the other ring from the bottom? Are you sure you are standing close enough, or not to far away? :scratch: :hmm:

No. I took the lift down, killed the lizard things, then grappled and climbed the right wall to lower that arm. Then I climbed down again, went to grapple the left pole, and I can't at all.

So you are saying you didn't go 'downstairs' first, to find the gems? Because I think that grapple thing can only be activated once you get there from the other side.

Remember in the Demo, you could only activate it from the other side, once you went to an 'invisible wall' first. Well, that wall turns out to be the exit from all the stuff that's behind that hallway next to the broken elevator (all the way down). Do you understand what I mean?

Thanks so much! It's too bad though, I decided to keep going, and I opened the gate, and then thought, "Maybe I should wait there incase the problem can be solved." So I loaded back to the statue. :thud: Just great. :lol:

You were quite right. Now I'm at the bridge, and am having a problem with making a jump. I pulled the bridge along the path along the wall, then I figure you have to wall-run back to the platform in the middle? I've tried a hundred times, but Lara never makes it. :mad2: Any hints/suggestions, or am I meant to do something else first?

EDIT: I mean the blue glowing bridge with the gauntlets.

Indeed, you move the bridge around... and then you do the grapple wall run thing BUT...
Your destination is to the outside platform (to the left, if facing where you entered the room from).

EDIT: I think you got to this point now :o sorry. Once you are at the outside, you must pull the bridge ALL the way around (until it is no longer above the outside platform ;)), then wall-run back to the centre.

Yes I am there, and I've been doing that. I pull it 'til it can't go any further, then I try wall-running, and Lara always hits the part of the platform that doesn't have the ledge and then falls to her death.

I've literally done this about 20 times now. :mad2: I'm going insane.

EDIT: Wait a minute. Am I supposed to pull it to the left (view from entrance)?

(Just checking you're where I think you are; after getting the gauntlet, you go down, rotate the bridge anti-clockwise as far as the inner-platform will allow; then climb up, drop + wall run to the outer ring; and then rotate the outer ring = where you are now stuck)

Nah; I just had this exact same problem :P Didn't quite get to 20 tries, though.
