Hi,

Just thought this one could be knocked on the head fairly quickly. Would appreciate your responses, or an official MMM reply ;) ....

I've noticed the following Mapmaker hint on a few TS2 boards - if you use duplicate tiles (ie. you copy a tile that's already been laid down), you don't use as much memory as if you used a new instance of a tile.

Can this be true?

I'm thinking that it's a load of poo and thinking about memory implications it shouldn't be possible, so can someone give a definitive answer please?

Cheers,

Alergy

Actually you don't have to coppy the tile only put one of the same type down i.e. you place down tile 20 and it takes up 4/10 space (example) if you place down another tile 20 it should only take up 1-2/10 space. I know that probably didn't make much sense but I hope it helped (or in other words: yes)
