Do you know what I think ?
I think that the ps2 version of the underworld will be the best of all versions because I think they will fix up all mistakes they made in the other versions.
What do you think maybe there will be a replay of cinematics,better camera and less glitches.
I haven´t played any of versions yet because I only have ps2 and laptop,but I can´t play it on laptop so ps2 is the only console available and I wrote the problems I read here on this forum. :D

Ya know what, if i could hug people through computer screens, I would hug you right now. :rasp: That is the most positive thing I've heard on the ps2 delay so far, and it's what I've been thinking all along. Mi brothers getting the wii version (blech) for me for xmas, but I'm buyin the ps2 version (awesome pawsom lemon blossom) in jan. I really hope that's why they've delayed it, to fix things. And you speak fine English for someone from a different country! :thumbsup:

I was just going through some other threads, and I have to say EVERY console has bugs, and most wind up having to actually turn off the power to their console because the game crashes. Hopefully CD are fixing those glitches. Every game has bugs, but we shouldn't have to turn our consoles off, because of the game crashing. I'm crossing my fingers, ya'll!

I think changes to the PS2 version are being carried out as we speak. The PS2 version was meant to be vertually identical to the Wii version yet it wasn't released at the same time as it. Now I have heard a lot of bad things about the wii version (in fact i've heard only bad things about the wii version) so for it to have been held back there must have been soemthing seriously wrong with it!

When is the official PS2 release date? Some sites (Play and HMV) are throwing around the 30th January, but i can't find anything official. Anyone know?

It's pretty frustrating, i spent all this weekend looking for it around town!

Yay positiveness! I reckon that the delay is likely due to "issues" that need fixing too. So hopefully , it will be a "better" game than it would have been had they not delayed it.
In response to the "official release date" - in the UK at least nobody seems to know. Amazon UK are stating 9th January and retail shops are saying anything from the 1st to the 30th!Amazon currently state they will dispatch ideally on the 12th and it will arrive between the 16th and the 22nd. If that helps - of course its not an official release date but its the only one that has given an actual estimate so far :)

Okay - I just checked the German Eidos forums - as someone there who I believe works for Eidos has been updating people and he stated this :

Den Ende Januar Termin kann ich bestätigen. Dieses Jahr wird das leider nichts mehr.

Now my German is not perfect but I think it roughly translates as the game will come at the end of January , and he then states that it is unfortunate that the game cannot arrive any earlier. I think. Anyone who actually speaks German or at least better than me feel free to correct me.

You are correct, he says at the end of january, unfortunately, no earlier. I did a little revising with what he said, but that's roughly it!

^ Ooh yay! Ive not studied/spoken German for five years now so..good to know I can still translate roughly.
Im actually feeling not at all bothered by this delay anymore at all. At first I was a bit upset - well upset is a bit strong - disappointed maybe because I would have loved to have played it over Christmas etc. Now if its the end of January I'll have to wait until April because of university. Taking my PS2 there would be neither wise nor productive to my course. But now Im not too fussed about it being delayed - I watched a little bit of the Wii version as someone told me the PS2 would likely look very similar and it looks fine. I know the graphics are not as good as the "newer" consoles next gen ones.. but until I get a newer console it will suit me just fine.
In a way I figure PS2 owners still get the anticipation and excitement that other console owners have now lost because its being released to them - sure it would be preferable to play the game now but its only a month or so... not that big a deal when you sit back and think about it.
Besides if I have an inclination to play Tomb Raider over my Christmas vacation I have 8 TR games to choose from...

Maybe the Edos is saying goodbye to ps2,I mean this is the last Tomb raider game for ps2! And since AoD the ps2 was a console to play Tomb Raider games on!
