T-Rex trouble

Hello all,
I am a first timer to Tomb Raider,played the Anniversary demo for about 20 min or so before I ran out and got the game.I seem to be having a lot of trouble killing the T-Rex in the lost valley:( .I know about the AD move but I can't seem to put any distance between the T-Rex and Lara and the AD move doesn't always work:mad2: .I saw the other post on killing the T-Rex and was wondering if there was any other advice all of you could give to help me out.

keep moving, use shotgun to make Rex angry. try to make him run into the spike weel thingy and reload when you are low on ammo (keep eyes on ammo counter

You have to keep moving. Shoot Rex and keep moving backwards or in a circle, untill Rex charges at you (you will see a red/orange circle on its head). Then the screen blurs, and it's time for you to perform an adrenaline dodge..

There are a couple of elements to killing the T-Rex

1) The Adreniline Dodge.
There was a 'code' used to help people, "RA/AD/HS", it's the 3 parts of the Adreniline Dodge.

RA - Rage Attack. This is shooting at the enemy (T-Rex) until his rage meter is full, and he does the 'roar' thing, and charges at you. Heavier weapons, like the shotgun, will make enemies angrier than the pistols.
AD - Adreniline Dodge. When the enemy is charging at you, as it reaches Lara the screen will blur/go grey, and you must roll out of the way with your weapons drawn targeting the enemy. Rolling left or right is helpful.
HS - Head Shot. As you are rolling two reticules will come together. DO NOT SHOOT UNTIL THEY COMBINE and become Red, a chime will sound. Then you shoot once, and the headshot will be performed. (Instant death to non-boss enemies).


2) Getting the rex in the right spot...
You want to AD/HS the T-Rex so that he runs into the spikes. He charges straight forward when he is shot in the head. In front of the spikes is a more "brown" grass... line Lara up along these and dodge the T-Rex here.
Get it to bash into Each of the 3 spikey obstacles (possibly once more after that) to trigger an Interactive Cutscene (ending the fight).

My Thanks to everyone,I'll give it another try and see what happens.I would have hated to quit,was almost loosing hope in beating The T-Rex,but I'll keep at it!!

:rasp: to the T-Rex,I DID IT,I DID IT:nut: :D it only took me about 3 hours but I got it!!
