CROFT MANOR - what's the spare pole for??

In the bit where she has to xplode the 2 skellie dogs (after the cut scene that she listens to the tape of her father) I found a pole with no apparent use but to bash things with :confused: - Did I miss something?

I was wondering about the same thing, but didnt find any use either.
As I already have all treasures and the relic from that level, I guess there is really no use.

Is this on the balcony above the main room? It's used to access 2 secrets - one just above where you find it, the other directly opposite on the other 'balcony' 'Plug' it into the wall. you have to use the same one for both holes

Go up the stairs the which leads to the left had side of the stained glass windows and you'll find a slot to put the pole..it leads to a treasure...there is also one on the righr hand side of the windows.

I've been wondering about it too.. perhaps it's not meant to have any use, it's more realistic this way ;)

Nah, that´s the other spare pole (the one you pull out of the wall). I have no idea, really. But I wanted to finish the level and have something to do while playing treasure hunt (not much fun when you have already collected all of the treasures..........:nut: ), so I just moved on. ;)

hrmph - I missed a couple of things in the first level so played it over.. but I think there was a glitch because on the 1st play I swear I found a treasure in the water by the krakens's tentacles and a bronze ball in a cave on the upper levels - but the second play I didn't find those 2 things :confused:
I got all the things in subseqent levels but no unlocks...
so do you have to get all the treasures in all the levels to get the unlockables?
I notice there is an inactive return-to-level optionin the PDA info - so I'm presuming you can add to your treaure count at the end :confused: Ihope so

does anyone know which directory the savegames store?

I've noticed the same problem with playing a separate game (using a new save and selecting "Start New Game"). It seems to carry over the treasures I collected in my completed game, those that I'd found before were already listed as collected in my separate playthrough. Which is messed up in my opinion.

And the path for save files on PC:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Eidos\Tomb Raider - Underworld

Oh I see...I'd forgot about that one...couldn't find a use for it either..can't be of any significance as it doesn't aid in retreiving a treasure or anything :scratch:

Actually I was very happy when I've found out that the game remembers previous treasures.
Perhaps an option to reset secrets would be a good solution.
