Need help in Thailand

I'm at the statue of shiva and I've found the 2 gems u need. I put one of the gems in the left hand of the statue but I cant manage the right hand one. I get the arm to come down. But the minute I try to run up the stairs to get to the hand its on its way back up. I know for a fact theres plenty of time to get there. The arm isnt even all the way down when I start running up the stairs. But when I turn that corner it starts going back up. So obviously running up the stairs isnt the way to go. But I dont know how else to do it. Unless theres something That I havent done that will keep the hand down. Please help. This is driving me nuts. :mad2:

Have you put the metal cage under the weight that is hanging off the rope?

You have to jump on the poles to raise the weight and put the cage under to stop it going back down again.
