another question...when amelia opens the portal...someone is talking to her...anyone ever find out what is being said to amelia about lara? lara sees her mother hearing what is said to her when she opens the portal in legend.

Yeah sure:
'Its Lara, your daughter'
'Take out the sword'
'What? No! Mother, mother listen to me!'
'It will explode unless you take out the sword!'
You have seen the ending in Legend, right? Everything you hear Amanda and Lara saying in that scene is what Amelia is hearing. She is hearing Amanda saying to 'take out the stone' and Lara saying 'What? no!' etc. the portal somehow works as a sort of time portal too. It doesn't just transport Amelia to Avalon.
Edit: yeah, Jurre has the complete dialogue. ;)
Unless you are talking about something entirely different in TRU? :o

so amelia was alive in legend... I think natla turned her into a thrall when she got insite avalon.

of course ive seen the end of legend. i mean that in legend, when amelia first disappears in nepal into avalon...she hears someone talking. so youre saying that she hears amanda and lara talking/fighting?
Jurre

Isn't it obvious? She clearly reacts to Amanda's warning about an explosion...

its likely amelia died quite soon after she got to avalon, quickly due to her clothes and violently, natlas not in control of avalon, the blue liquid is, natla just knows ancient rituals and wants to go there and use avalon for personal gain. natla dosent make the thralls its the blue liquid which is the elixer of life...or life after death:P

If you turn up the volume on your TV and pay attention, you can actually here what's being said.
But yes, somehow, she was able to see the future argument/conversation between Lara and Amanda.
I wonder what would have happened to Amelia in the past had Lara NOT have messed with the portal in the future...

WHO'S AMELIA?
WHO'S AMELIA?
Lara's mother. Amelia and 8 year old Lara are together in the beginning cut scene. Lara calls her 'mother'.

Natla couldn't go into Avalon/Helhiem without Lara's help, with the hammer.

one question though.
any idea where Lara and Amanda landed on in the final cutscene?
I'm very sure it's not Bolivia or Nepal.

It was Nepal, didn't you see Lara picking up the yeti-drawings she made as a child and left behind at the portal?

eh? i thought she brought it back with her. I remember she took out the drawings from her bag-pack in Legend.
but, it makes sense though. Amanda was about to do something when Lara said on being even and so forth.

Not the drawings of the symbols, those of the yeti's. She left them behind in Nepal and picked them up shortly in Inderworld before throwing them away again.... makes me wonder why she didn't do that when she entered the place as an adult in Legend but then again there's more things that I ask myself why?...... why?

well, there's a probability that CD will come up with a new game after this. ;)
besides, everything is still on lose ends, isn't it?
and, nobody knows what Avalon actually is.
i still cant understand some of the stuff here and there but, would prefer to wait for the next game to come.

[QUOTE=franiqueblack;899793 nobody knows what Avalon actually is. [/QUOTE]
Avalon is the place where u fought the midgard serpent,or the place called Helheim,I think the Excalibur(s) all around the world were !MAYBE! supposed to "teleport" strongest (Arthur, maybe Tiwanaku) to guard the serpent ( or maybe to use it and destroy world/bring the seventh age or whatever the creators of those stone dais meant) and that "Eitr" or whats it called (just that blue poison) was the reason why it was called sometimes as the place of eternal rest ... I have one BIG theory but my poor english doesnt allow me to explain it here and not to feel ashamed :D so sorry for bad english :)

oh, well. from what i understand, the game didnt actually explain the whole Avalon thing clearly. for instance, the reason of its existence and so on. but, u have an idea there.
and Cardenius, just explain it. aint no English teacher will ever log in and check your grammar. LOL.

Yeah, another thing, some of King Arthur's knights presumably also went to Avalon, where are they? Just one of these undead guys? It feels so... shallow.

Well that is the big question: Alisters final words 'see you in Avalon' - which doesn't happen within the same game could be interpreted as 'to be continued' whilst Lara speaks in her journal clearly over a 'closed book, and moving over to the next one'... So it isn't entirely clear I think.
Its probably designed in such a way that Crystal can move in any direction that the fans prefer, but the sad thing about that is that the storyline becomes often inconsistant and rather messy. Had they made up the entire storyline from the beginning it would have become more like the Lord of the Rings: consistant from A to Z and no loose ends...

The knights are in Avalon/Helhiem but the people who died in battle that were sent to Helhiem weren't turned into thralls, in Norse mythology.
They were prepped for the battle Ragnorak, if I recall correctly.
Someone correct me if need be, I read somewhere once.

Hmm, I wonder how would those knights get to avalon if they need the excalibur (which was probably only one in Europe/England and piece of it was holding Arthur,so no completed Excalibur). And another question-why was Lara mentioning Valkyries and explaining them as ravens or something like that? There were no ravens or wolfs in whole game, just few parots in thailand :D

Someone correct me if need be, I read somewhere once. You're almost correct: the warriors who died in battle with honor were send to Valhalla, which was the Norse paradise: Niflheim was the place were the cowards went to. So I guess thats were Alister is now...

I believe only king Arthur went to Avalon.
Historians think that when the Vikings saw ravens and wolves scavinging the battlefield they thought of them as the valkyries and their steeds, picking up the spirits of the fallen.

If Arthur went to avalon, who the hell is in that "eggy thing" in england/legend? And How could he get to Avalon if his excalibur was broken (he holds just a piece of it). / I know that in "our real" world,Arthur went to Avalon, this is just about world Lara lives in/
And about that Valkyries,I know who they were but I dont know why Lara mentioned them in her journal, same for those "three ladies" who predict the future /mentioned in journal in the last level of the game/. But thanks :)

He didn't go after all, and that is also why she could collect his sword. She says that Sir Bedivere brought back a piece of the sword 'for Arthur to leave this mausoleum when the time came'. So I guess he still has to go.

Didnt the valkeries work for oden. Collecting the sould of brave soliders to prepare them for ragnarock.

What or who is ragnarok?
It is neither :)
Ragnarok in norse mythology is the end of the world. It is an event,
Where Odin leads the other Gods, and the valiant slain from Valhalla to fight the Midgard Serpent, among other things.
It is armageddon, and in norse myth it is a glorious time, as a glorious death in battle was the highest honor.

One thing tha bothers me about that myth is that, how could gods and the souls of worthy combattants fight against a mechanism that had to be activaded by someone in the first place. Plus it was said that Thor slew the midguard serpant before he died from its venom...so why is the midguard serpant still entacked in TRU? I think i need to play it again:scratch:
Plus condsider its name the MIDguard serpant....MID indicates the middle..so is there more to avalon than the midguard serpant, also misguard tends to sugges somethign guarding somethig else not somethign as threatening as what we stopped natla using!

One again, wiki for the win.
Here is most all of what encompasses Ragnarok, most of it is spot on;

There is a lot of turmoil in this event.

I don't know much about mythology, but what I've seen of, it looks to me that CD tried to mix "various myths that use different names". Well, actually they don't and this is where the plot gets so confusing even for the creators themselves and as such, there are many holes.
So, don't try to find many reasonable answers to your questions. I am sure CD had planned to create TRA and TRU from the very beginning but I am also sure that they hadn't come up with the full story from the beginning!! This is what you have to do when youplan to create a trilogy! And now we all know what happens when yoy don't:lol: ...
However, the game is amazing and I enjoyed it to the full!!! Just don't ask too much and everything will be alright!

Events of her the past were dictated by things she did in the present. But she wouldnt be doing these things in the present if it wasnt for an event in her past which she needed her present for... Imagine the look on Eddingtons face  .
