View Full Version : Turning the second calendar wheel in mexico... not triggering the gate to open!
As the title suggests, I got the panther head, and have turned the first calendar wheel. It is now locked in place, as it should be, so I then collected the skull and used that on the second calendar wheel. It is now completely moveable but no matter how I align the wheels, the cutscene is never activated.... no idea why! The gate in the courtyard never opens so I cannot go any further...
Here is a screenshot of where I am now, the wheels appear aligned, but even when I align them up absolutely perfectly the cutscene is still not triggered...

any tips?
Thanks

in fact u have to turn one of the wheels 2 times as putting the 2nd one moves the 1st... It s because you need to get on ur motorcycle to get in the temple. At least on PS3
Do you mean I have to turn one of the inner wheels in this picture twice, as in drag it round in a full circle more than once?
(If you mean I have to go back to the first calendar wheel and re-align that, I have been back to the original calendar wheel and it is definitely in place since it is locked and cannot be moved, yet this second calendar wheel is still moveable meaning the game thinks it is not in place)
Thanks again

Tomb Raider Underworld Walkthrough and Game Guide:

That was my problem, the second wheel never locked, the game never recognised it as "aligned" but I tried turning one of its inner wheels round anti clockwise 360 degrees and it worked
Thanks for the help guys :) I can continue
Edit: Its still unclear how the alignment works, I did it once just now but cant do it again, its trial and error and the moment. I have look through the walkthrough, The walkthrough didnt help, it just says "Now place the four circles in the right alignment like you did for the first calendar. " which I am doing, lining them up correctly but still no cutscene
its silly... I guess I will just rotate the inner wheels 360 degrees in either direction and re align it all, until it works...
