After being shunned by Goran :lol: :lmao: I'm giving credit to the person who made this in the first place....
Which I did actually already do ages ago, but I deleted it because no-one was looking at it anymore. ;)


So Here it is:

Not a "patch suggestion" thread. Only bugs and possible solutions.
Spoilers, if you haven't played the game.

PC/PS3/360 versions.

Most glitches occur randomly, and none of them seem to be platform specific so far (unless there is something wrong with XBOX autosaves).

Use the following form to report your bugs:
Type: General, location specific (which location?) or an oddity, that does not interfere with gameplay.
Bug: Short summary of what happens.
Solution: If any.

General

G1.
Bug: Loading a saved game in treasure hunt causes the game to think you're playing story mode - 'Field Assistance' is enabled, 'Revisit Location', on the other hand, is not.
Solution: Kill Lara.

G2.
Bug: Lara gets stuck in an animation loop.
Solution: Release any directional keys, bringing Lara to a "full stop", then move/jump away from the glitchy spot. Alternatively, shoot your guns. Some seriously freaky loops (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bmrOLF6IVr0) may require a restart.
G3.
Bug: During the Headshot move, instead of reticule, the player suddenly takes control of the camera.
Solution: N/A. Seems to randomly go away after reloading the level/checkpoint.

G4.
Bug: Flashlight disappears - "On/Off" key has no effect and the PLS itself is no longer listed in your inventory. Has something to do with Lara's bike most of the time (could be that its light interferes with Lara's flahslight, as the PLS automatically turns off when you get on the bike).
Solution: N/A. Restart the level.

G5.
Bug: Unresponsive controls due to animation quirks. For example, if you nearly push Lara off the edge and she does her "flail" motion, you may not be able to move into the direction you want afterwards. Or: while standing on a beam/pole she refuses to walk.

Solution: Generally, moving/jumping/turning in different directions solves this. On poles, you can also drop down ('crouch' key) and climb it once again.

G5a.
Bug: Lara won't make the 90º degree turn in "inside corner ledges" if you drop to the ledge near the corner
Solution: Move Lara in the oposite direction, and then again in direction of the corner you want to turn.

G6.
Bug: Lara has trouble detecting objects she can interact with, and the 'Interact' key causes melee attack in most cases.
Solutiuon: Make sure Lara is close to the object, is facing it and, preferably, stands still.

G7.
Bug: Something causes Lara to get stuck in some kind of ragdoll state, yet she is 'alive' and can fire her guns, open the PDA etc. (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qgKcpvY2JS8)
Solution: N/A. Reloading your last checkpoint fixes it, most likely.

G8.
Bug: Lara dies upon bumping into some specific object in the level (for example, wooden ramps in Xibalba corridor).
Solution: Well...avoid bumping into such objects (note: this bug is particularly random).

G9.
Bug: Lara falls through the ground/seabed or, occasionally, even through walls (during walljumps). The latter may be location specific.
Solution: N/A. Restart the level/last checkpoint.

G10.
Bug: Occasionally, when a savegame is loaded Lara appears at an older checkpoint. Nothing else is affected (id est in Mexico bike appears where it should - at the real last checkpoint). Sometimes it's the other way around - Lara spawns where the last checkpoint was, yet other objects (like movable blocks) are reset to their previous/default positions.
Solution: N/A.

G11.
Bug: Sometimes she stuck to a platform/beam i would walk across and id have to jump or move my thumbstick around in circles.
Solution: N/A
G12.

BUG:if you jump from a higher ledge than the grapple hook it raps around air kind of like this ^ [an upsidedown "v"]
solution:i just dropped off of the grapple and usually died



G13.
BUG: Others & myself have had an issue with cutscenes failing to activate which just makes your screen go blank even though the game is still running.
Solution: The solution is just reload a manual save or resume at a last check point. I would say make frequent manual saves as unfortunately this glitch was auto saved for me which meant a restart.
G14.
Bug:

Solution:

Laugh really hard...oh, and in this case press jump, she'll be fine after that.


S1.
Location: Thailand (Treasure Hunt)
Bug: When replaying the level and entering Thor's Hall from the pit room, the bridge is facing the exit and there's no way to bring it back.
Solution: N/A. Restart the level (you may have to do this more than once). By default, the bridge should automatically return to its original position when you get close. Alternatively, use a trainer to bypass the gap (PC only).

S2.
Location: Mexico
Bug: In the Xibalba corridor, first wooden ramp/bridge is lowered.
Solution: N/A. Restart the level (you may have to do this more than once). Alternatively, use a trainer to bypass the gap (PC only).

S3.
Location: Mexico
Bug: In Thor's chamber, hanging on lower snake's pole does not close its mouth and therefore its eitr flow won't stop.
Solution: N/A. Try restarting from the last checkpoint or reloading the level itself (unconfirmed).


S4.
Location: Bike levels (usually in Treasure Hunt)
Bug: The bike disappears after loading a savegame.
Solution: Kill Lara. If it does not help, restart the level.

S5.
Location: Mexico
Bug: No rain in the very beginning of the level (usually in Treasure Hunt).
Solution: Drive to the next section of the map (via the underground tunnel). Rain will reappear in all parts of the map.


S6.
Location: Thailand (though looks like it's of a general kind).
Bug: Violating the programmed gameflow (for example, bypassing some important object; in this case - the 'falling platform' sequence) causes extreme graphical glitches.
Solution: Since it's an abnormal bug (as attempts to skip game triggers usually end in Lara's death, otherwise it's an exploit), only option is to restart the level.

S7.
Location: Mexico
Bug: After failing to enter Xibalba for the first time, calendar plates get stuck and none of them can be operated.
Solution: N/A. Restarting the level may help.

S8.
Location: Mediterranean Sea
Bug: If you pull the lever too soon after dropping the right-hand statue's head for a weight, the door to Niflheim may not open, although the cutscene plays.
Soluion: N/A. Since the cutscene triggers a checkpoint, there's no other way than to a load a previous save or restart the level.

S9. This one may be a variation of G6.
Bug: Occasionally, after collecting the two gemstones for Shiva's arm puzzle, no icon apears for you to insert them (id est Lara refuses to insert them).
Solution: N/A. Reload a save where you are yet to collect the stones.

S10. Type: Thailand
Bug: When lara can forward handstand on long thin ledges, when however on a pole, she wil falls directly downwards and do the handstand in the air, unfourtunatly falling to her death.
solution: Carry on from last checkpoint or autosave.

S11. Type: Thailand
Bug: When at the beginning in remnants, on the little island, crouch and keep moving but side of lara has to be right next to the long climbing wall, push lara forward holding crouch, and then, lara will go into the water still crouching and not stop, there is no other way to stop her.
solution: Quit game and see what happens, if however still underwater, solution is to restart level or game...

S12: type; mexico
BUG:when u get thors belt dnt open his hammer go through tha killer water tht looks like
a water fall lara will die but tha cutscene starts and lara willbe alive when tha cutscene is over
Solution: N/A

S13.
Type: Falling through the mediterranean.
Bug: From the krakens point of view there is a treasure at the left corner of the area the kraken is in. When I picked it up (after kicking the vase) Lara fell through the ground into nothing. This made the game crash.

Solution: Restart from last save or checkpoint, the game thinks you've picked the treasure up.

S14.
Mexico: xibalba the room with the belt.

Bug: After moving the big block on the ground level and letting the "water" rise one level. I died. When the game reloaded the big block fell over... No way of putting it upright again and dieing again does not help. This means you can't get out of the room.

Solution: load previous savegame.


S15.
Format: PS3
Level: Mexico
Bug/Glitch: Bridge ramps down
Solved: by having the cutscene where lara explains the calanders at the one missing the panther head (the first one you come across)


S16.
Level: Mexico
Bug/Glitch: Second snake head would not go down,stopping the poisons flow when swinging on it
Solved:loading a new save

S17.
Format: PC, Croft Manor
Bug// Glitch: Right at the beginning after the first run through of the mansion, the text "One Week Earlier..." appears on the screen, when it does, skip the cut scene.
The text "One Week Earlier.." is now permanently on the screen. until you complete the 3disc puzzle at the bottom of the ocean.Solution: N/A

Oddities

- models of Thor's gauntlets and belt are floating underwater near the starting point in Arctic;
- camera goes nuts when attempting to drop down safely (using the 'crouch' key) and grab a corner ledge;
- camera goes nuts when attempting to exit a crawlspace that ends with a ledge (in fact, any crawlspace will do);
- when a grenade kills naga, the latter has no ragdoll-animated death - its carcass simply floats in the air;
- attempts to bypass the underwater boundaries in the Arctic level seem to cause the game to eliminate the underwater environment altogether;
- above also applies to Mediterranean, the 'God of Thunder' chapter.

uhh

only thing i encountered is what i call the sticky Lara.

Sometimes she stuck to a platform/beam i would walk across and id have to jump or move my thumbstick around in circles.

thats the only type of bug i have to report, only thing i experienced

I had that one in mexico so I think it's a general ;)

I also had another there, but that one is also already added.
Didn't have other bugs, just 2

I had a nagus going around in a circle on a wall at the start of Shiva Courtyard area. I couldn't kill it. Later on that same nagas attacked me but it was in a vertical attitude, nose to the ground, tail in the air. I still couldn't kill it but it could kill me. I figured it was a glitch and restarted the game. Pretty weird stuff :lol:
PS3 version BTW.

combination of G10

I managed to wall jump to the top of an area in Southern Mexico: Midguard Serpent, the last room I entered (Blue Tablet) was the broken one, no traps, it looked like an opening at the top. so I made it there and promptly FELL to my death which as noted, locked my X360 up, on re-boot I saw I have to do it ALL over again and all the treasures were ALSO re-set. :(

The second issue I came across was in Mexico. If you fail to get out on time from Xibalba on the bike & you miss the door, there is no way of reseting the puzzle so you are stuck again. The solution again is loading a previous save.;)

For all the times I moaned about how I thought the demo was bug-riddled, I can't believe that I've encountered no troubles at all with the finished game. I've played through it three times now (on PC). Although I've run into G5 on countless occasions (which isn't a bug in my opinion, it's just bad coding).

I have a bug (of sorts) to report myself actually. Doesn't affect gameplay in any way though.
On the prologue Croft Manor level, if I save and reload before the cutscene at the end (Zip shooting at Lara), the on-screen effects seem to go awry in exactly the same place. The diffuse glow from the flames and the heat blur will disappear as Lara walks along the first balcony towards the grapple point above the stairs, and they will not come back on no matter how much I disable and re-enable the appropriate effects in the display settings. It stays that way for the last bit of the level and the Zip cutscene before all coming back on again when the Med level loads.

Ditto, the only bug I encountered was the 'sticky Lara' one. But it wasn't on poles or beams. It was more that Lara would get stuck in a tripping animation on certain bits of small things in the environment such as rocks or small debris. I found to stop moving or to jump away usually solves it.

i have those problems too... a bit weird, and in thailand, i was about to enter the temple when, tigers came at me, i ran to a pole, jumped on that, and when you jump she jumps a very long way and zooms there, also, in that same bit, when you do that and that tiger comes for you, kill that go to the bit where you have to get down to the ledges and then swing on the poles past the waterfall to the reward, well run towards the drop next to the edge, lara will find a stop, she can't move, then, keep pressings forward and she goes into the air like fly mode for a bit then drops down to her death... that was weird, and on xbox 360 version demo too!!! Note to self: Dont do that on the actual game, go around the bump in the ground...:nut:

I had this but it didnt fall over it just sort of was at a very tilted angle, i thought it might been because there was left overs of a thrall where it was but im not sure. Although on my one i just had to walk near it and it seemed to level itself out on its own without my touching it

Ok not a biggy and does not affect gameplay, but with something so obvious and easy to fix, I begin to wonder if any testing was done on this game.

Platform: PC

On the whole decent to the serpent, with the giant blocks on swivels, powered by those rooms with the gears, drop weights, and poles and chains above (also where you first encounter the Yettie), this happened: Actually, it's happened a little before here, but here is where it became near a game-breaker. Lara, over the many bridges that have been partially broken, would stutter and not jump when commanded. She'd have jump, land immediately where she stood. This led to her either falling to her doom, or falling and grabbing a ledge. Reloading doesn't really solve it.

Solution is: oddly, start further back and jump about 5-10 times and finally, she'll be free of this glitch and jump properly. It'll happen randomly, so that's all I have for a solution.

Also, actually in the room you met the Yettie first, mentioned above, the following truly was near an impasse. Ascending the drop weights, then the rods connecting the gears, then jumping up and grabbing the chains above that are moving backwards toward the wall at a fast pace, I first tried Lara hand-over-hand, but she barely responded, and wouldn't speed up with the action button. She hit the wall, fell. I tried it again, no hand-over-hand movement. She fell. I tried another approach. This is a multi-glitch, as this part here has happened before, but not when it needed to work or else. I tried standing her on the chain and walking her forward. She walks about three steps, then freezes, in her balancing walking stance. Won't move at all, no matter the direction she's moved in. She hits the wall, falls, dies... I tried to fudge it by having her stand, walk until she freezes, then jump for the chain and try standing again. Not enough time, really, but she can do it if quick enough, only to freeze again. I thought there was nothing to be done and I wasn't able to progress. Restart does nothing for this. Another try, she treated the chain like another horizontal rod instead, then swung up and through the chain (nice physical impossibility there) like it wasn't even there, flipping around, then hit the wall, fell... About 20 more frustrating attempts to get her to just hand-over-hand it again, she finally did it and another try, or two, she actually responded to the action button telling her to move her but faster so she doesn't die, again...

Solution: just try you but off until you want to take the game and stomp on it... Eventually, it might work for you:p

I've also had those sticky on things glitches, as well as her stopping and shaking her head "No" when swimming, or running, before she hits something and the camera shifts. Only solution here is to let go of all controls, as mentioned, and wait like a full second before moving her again.


I would really, REALLY love it if CD could address these bugs in a patch... It nearly made me stop playing the game and it's really inexcusable to have bugs such as that with basic movement, especially when precise movement is needed to progress in most spots.

Edit: Oh, in the room with the giant serpent of doom, these wacky glitches have happened: In both repelling down the side of one of those spots with either ring on each side, Lara has inexplicably disengaged her grapple wire and fallen to her demise. Over and over this happens; again, no restart helped. In the same vein, she also has let go of ledges and fallen, for no explicable reason and no button being pressed. She simply decided life wasn't worth living anymore, I suppose:p Finally, and this is just odd. I've had the camera and her reverse completely in mid air while jumping from one platform to another, making her land forward on the same platform she just jumped from, as if she had jumped from the other one. it's so jarring and so odd, I at first questioned myself if that really happened. I thought, maybe I did possibly jump from the other side:p Then, I realized that no, the game just spun around the room on me, lol. It did this a couple of times, only in this stage.

Solution to this all? None.

For all above glitches, I tried both with the keyboard and the gamepad, to see if it was my gamepad. Same deal.

hi im new i ve a problem with bugged trophies: treasures hunter and expert treasure hunter.
i founded on tru for ps3 more than 100 treasures in game and i unlocked the trophy for 100 tresures but not treasures hunter and expert treasure hunter. why? have i to delete savegame and remake the entire game ? thnks

Hi! :)

You need to find all treasures in the game to unlock the Master Treasure Hunter trophy. There are 179 treasures in the game.

The other ones...:scratch:
Have you started the game before you got the trophy patch? If you did then maybe you do need to start over.
