Is it me or am i going the wrong way? (hunt for thors hammer)

I'm in the hammer room and i'm almost through it but there is one machine room i can't handle(the one with the snow giant). the problem for me is when i jump up to the chains who normally pulls you towards the hammers direction goes instead in opposite direction.

when i get up to chain i try to both jumping and running but Lara stops up after awhile and is uncontrollable. Is this even the right way im taking? maybe im not supposed to go that way.
the only thing is i dont know what other way there is

Even though the chain is going in the wrong direction you can get Lara to pull herself along by pressing the action button rapidly and she'll get to the other side.

i am having the same problem there..:mad2:
i'm on the PC version.. so what action button and what is it suppose to do?.. cause i can't get anywhere no matter what i do.. and i'm at this like 2 days now and it's really getting annoying :mad2:

L.E.: it's E on the keyboard.. (the button u use to pick up, place things)..
