Digital Pre-Order a Scam!

ok, it's the evening pf the 21st, the game was officially released "worldwide" today, I've still not heard a peep from Metaboli.

I gave up and went down to the local Best Buy where the game has beem sitting on the shelf since the 18th and picked up a copy. Now I'm just trying to get my money back form this scam company. Hopefully the Edios employee that has emailed me can help :(

I was foolish enough to purchase the "Digital Pre-Order" because I'm a huge TR fan and wanted to get the game as soon as possible.

Now I'm out $, I have no game to play, and the only way I can supposedly contact Metaboli is by email wich they do not reply to.

I got one email for my money that said the following and have not heard from them since. I've tried contacting serviceclient@gamesplanet.com and only recieved a single automated reply.

Oh nice, the main page states "In stores now", and I still haven't heard anything about my "pre-order" from Metaboli :(

Sorry to hear you've been messed about.

A lot of people use metaboli so you haven't lost your money, just somethings gone wrong.

If they didn't deliver i would expect the game download and a refund.

But I believe I´d get the game tomorrow as the other people in the world.

I sent an e-mail to the metaboli and I didn´t get an answer yet of what happened. I paid in credit card and got and e-mail, telling me that I´d get the link to download the game at Nov. 18th. Up to now, I didn´t get that yet.

If you look at the tomb raider official site, when you try to order "again" the game, they say that the game for you to download to our PC would be released tomorrow at Nov. 21st.

The only way is to wait though.

If I get the link, I´ll tell you!

You need to speak to metaboli, obviously. Have you tried to get a contact number?

Also, check your spam filter as well as Goran suggested.

It's also worth pointing out that I *think* Underworld is retailing on the 21st on the www even if you're in the US. So there could be confusion about the dates on their behalf.

If you have tried the above and have no luck Eidos will help you. Either way please send me a PM to let me know how you get on.

I see responses from actual Edios employees here. I stand corrected on this point.

Yes I check in my spam box; there is no phone number to contact Metaboli; and yes I'm in the US. I could run down to my local walmart and pick the game up right now but I can't get any response from the place I supposedly "Pre-Ordered" the game from :(

Yeah, it makes sense to me. And since I wasn't going to be able to play it this week anyway, getting it on Steam, so I can access it wherever I go, seemed like the best policy. But now I'm hearing it may not be released until Saturday the 22nd...which makes me angry. :mad2:

Today is Nov. 21st. The site now says the TRU is out but I still didn´t get the e-mail with the download link yet!!

I can´t get and answer from Metaboli and now I´m starting worrying about if I´ll play this game.

it was chronicles.

but later this day I went to a friend and tried the ps3 version and I can only say it with these words: the game is CRAP!!!

TRU? really? hm...metacritic rating is so far 78%, which is not bad, but i generally dont buy anything below 85% and i dont even play anything below 75% (TRU was 76% just 2 days ago). but i'm such a huge fan that i'll play it anyway. i usually depend on IGN (which gave it a mere 7.5), and Gamespot (which hasnt reviewed it yet) for my reviews cos i mostly agree with them.

Metaboli ripped me off. Do not buy the digital down load from them. If you want to download the game, get it from steam. They at least give you something for your money

I keep getting the same standard reply e-mail from serviceclient@gamesplanet.com. There auto-response works very well for two days straight now. Problem-solving personal response or customer service, not so much. How do I get a refund?

I´ve sent an e-mail to Eidos and I didn´t get a response from them either. I´m REALLY upset. AND THEY´RE STILL SELLING TRU IN THEIR SITE AND DECEIVING PEOPLE. I don´t know what we may think about this situation.

Problably, Eidos don´t care about their clients and their safe buy on the internet. I tell you that I´ve sent another mail to the police, telling them that we have been suffered a fraud on Eidos site.

I did that when I got the 1st automated reply. I started this thread after getting no response after that.

Since the 21st, when I went down to my local best buy and picked up the game, I've been emailing serviceclient@gamesplanet.com once a day with only the words "I want my money back!" in 30 pt font.

Finally today, I recieved a response saying they will refund my money within 2 to 3 weeks. We shall see. I will post here what happens.

I do not know if the Edios people had anything to do with this or not. I imagine they aren't allowed to say much.
