Got lost around the web for a while, couldnt find the forum :(
But i found it and trying to improve on new area of trle, creating objects and editing them
Here is my question...
I dont have much knowledge on area of "editing objects" with stripxIII & Rhino 2.0
I got both of them now, as far as I heared, ( and noticed in StripxIII ) objects with a yellow box around it are not passable, so it blocks lara.
I have this object which doesnt has this box, I think its called collusion box. And yes... I want to create a box around it so lara wont walk trough the object.
Further info, object slot = animating9
What must I do in order to achieve this :D

hiya Yasin :D nice to see you here! If you import a custom made object, like some new architecture for instance, the more recent versions of Strpix have an "automatic bound" button. All you need to do is click it, and it'll automatically "bind" the object inside the yellow box.... so as Lara won't run through it :) I'm not much of an expert on this myself, so my explanation might not be best, but hope it helps anyway!

Well it did work, but not excactly......
when i press automatic bound, it jumps to lara's butt mesh, and if I try it too much the wad gets corupted
????

Automatic bounding is only for STATIC objects like plants, furnitures…
For MOVEABLE objects (including animating slots) the yellow bounding box cannot be used. The collision information is included in a ‘collision sphere’ which exist for EACH MESH constituting the moveable object.
You cannot change these values, except if you edit directly the Wad file with a hexadecimal editor.

Hi Ale,
you CAN change these values with Trviewer ;).

Ale I also tried this...
Import my dfx object into my wad with stripx, I replaced it with a plant for example. But when i press Automatic Bound again it jumps to Lara's butt again.
But the object I import is actually a animating slot object. I opened my wad in Stripx3, then output as dfx.... used rhino do clear away some parts, then saved it, and imported ( replaced actually ) with a plant. Can this have effect ???

If you want to change the collision, you'll have to choose the object in the 'Static objects menu' also in the left side (at the bottom) of the screen. And also check the little 'circle' in front of 'collision', otherwise you'll see the 'view-something' (I can't remember what it's called, but you can also find it in the left bottom side of the screen). ;)

G'day Yasin,
When I edit objects I use Trendwest to make a Wad of only the object I want to edit eg. Furniture7 Then when You are in Stipix Lara's butt wont get in the way when you automatically bound your object :) cause it wont be ther :D, Hope tis helps.

hey Yasin, welcome back :)
is your DirectX 8 problem fixed yet? :D
you CAN change these values with Trviewer…(Daniel)
We can change the radius of the collision sphere, but I am not sure about its position related to the mesh. When I use either SHIFT or CTRL (as indicated), I get the same result : Both the sphere and the mesh move together.
Does somebody know more about that?
I also fail several time to load in Trviewer a TR4 file where one object had been modified. The same file loads successfully in TRLE. :(
Import my dfx object into my wad with stripx, I replaced it with a plant ... (Yasin)
This will not help Yasin : Even if you load a Static object in your Moveable slot, you cannot create a collision box with Strpix for this slot.
Then when You are in Stipix Lara's butt wont get in the way when you automatically bound your object cause it wont be ther (Mushroom )
This will not work either : You will get a error message. The only way to create a collision box with Strpix is to be in a slot greater than 464. :)

This is what i have tried ( and i got it finally )
I opened Trwest and chosen debris 9 from my wad and replaced it with 8, so i got debris 9 and 8
Then I opened StripxIII, Chosen the Debris 8 static object, then I already had the object i wanted to create ( the mirror ) I imported the mirror and replaced it with the current debris object, Textured it as I like then I noticed the next thing
there is this little drop down box above the check box "show box" When i clicked this a row of static objects was showed. I found my static object in the list, I press Automatic Bound, and this time it did bound my object and created a colusion box around it, ( this referes to Collins post )
Sorry collin :( i didnt quite understand your post "must be my bad english as a dutch person :D. Also that day i was frustraded because i couldnt get it right ;)
Now i am happilly building further, thanks for your help all :D
