I'm back again, stuck on another seemingly impossible task. I have just gotten to the two sets of rotating blades that I need to get past and then the three walls that open and close, one after the other, over the posts I need to jump on. My problem is that no matter how I jump (from a couple of steps away or right from the edge), I am unbalanced on the first post so need to use the triangle before I jump. I've gotten to the third post (where I'm always unbalanced again) and by the time I hit the triangle the wall smashes me before I can jump to the ledge. Is there a way to make the first jump without being unbalanced (at least physically lol) so I can gain that extra second which should allow me to get across? Thanks for any advice. Nancy

Hit triangle as soon as she lands, don't wait for her to unbalance.

Balance yourself ASAP but also time the jumps.
Jump to the posts just as the walls slam together in front of you.

Thanks to both of you, I was able to get past that part. Thanks so much for your advice! Nancy

I am stuck at this same part but on TR:A for PC, and the trouble here seems to be worse. No matter how I try seems almost impossible to make her even land on the post. I jumped from the ground or backwards hanging from the ledge, I'm always holding E to avoid unbalancing. When Lara's feet touch the top of the post they simply cannot step on it, they slip to the front making her to fall, unlike the other pillar before where she lands fine or the unbalancing mark appears. It seems like this particullar pillar is a wet soap.
Anyone who accomplished this level in the PC version can give me any hint on this? I'm trying this for a whole day and nothing seems to work :mad2:

Yeap, it happened to me, too..
I have no tip for that, just keep trying untill she stands on it..
She will sometime do it..
Also, make your jump shorter (i don't know if I'm using the correct word now.. ) and move the camera so that the post is in front of her and she doesn't look to it from a higher place.
Believe me.. she will do it...

I noticed that the long jump makes her fall beyond the pillar, so I tried either pressing spacebar faster or move back one step from the ledge to do the jump. I also tried different camera angles, even backwards, nothing seems to work. About one out of 20-30 tries I manage to get at least the unbalanced landing, then I'm smashed. Most of the tries Lara's feet just slip across the top of the pillar, the wet soap effect I mentioned. I don't give up easily, but this part is annoying me hardcore. The 90 seconds run for the artifact #1 was way easier than this. :nut:
Edit: w00t!!! I did it, finally!!! Less than 24 hours trying, not bad at all, I guess :D
Well done!
Can you please tell me how did you get there and where did you go after that?
I think there is a way to skip this part, but I don't remember very well.
Is it the hall that leads to the room with the mummy - big slope/stairs and a box in a trapped hole?
