Hi, as a old fart I had only played Tomb Raider on PS1 (ancient I know!). I have finally invested in a Wii and have just bought Anniversary. I am slowly getting to grips with the huge amount of different moves, but am having trouble just getting her to walk. I have read through the instructions and it just says to push forward on the nunchcuck control, which of course makes her run - not good when she is on top of tall objects. Am I missing something here? What can I do to slow her down?

Hi veejay, nice to see that the Wii is getting to the more mature gamer!
With regards to the nunchuck analogue stick, if you push it all of the way forward, hard, she runs.
If you push the stick more gently in the direction you want to go, she walks.
Using a feather-touch approach to the stick, you can get her to sneak.
I hope this helps.

Ahh well, I new it was all downhill from here. :(
So I just need to learn to be less ham-fisted. :D Thanks for the info.

Not at all, this is what the Wii, would like, people who are not necessarily targeted by the other consoles because of its' unique appeal.

You're welcome - it may be worth making a small mental note that this is the case when you are playing with analogue sticks that you generally get a slower movement with less pressure.
Trust me, a couple of weeks down the line, you will be able to play completely fluidly and not even think of what buttons to press or actions to perform!

veejay, Hang in there! I too started out on the playstation and was a bit leary of the Wii controls. Practice in the mansion really helped me a lot with Lara's movements. It took me forever to be able to backflip and fire the pistols at the target on the wall before I finally had to ask my 19 year old son to get past that part for me.:p But I kept at it and got the hang of it. It is really fun. Also, I had played Anniversary on the PS2 and certain parts of the game are less difficult on the Wii. Post back and let us know how you are doing. :)
