you can try watching the walkthroughs or such @ youtube ;)

Anniversary has probably something to do with Underworld, if you have questions,
for example:
who is natla?

you could find the information at the forums @ underworld/anniversary, and google will help you too ;)

But I think what's most important is, is the storyline of Legend ;) Underworld, is where the Legend continues :P
Anniversary is something that happened like 10 years before Legend ;) :P

good luck and have fun :)

So you are saying your computer could run TRL but not TRA??

I must say, my laptop can handle Legend better than Anniversary indeed, but the difference is gone since I have started to play with all the display settings turned off and resolution at 1048

Did you try to turn off all the display settings (like full screen effects and reflections etc..)?

my friend's dad I THINK said 'yes' to fixing my computer,i'll have to ask my dad. so if i do get it fixed,it will probably be a few day's to a week before i get my computer back (im on my dad's) so when i get the TRU game (if it's based on TRL i'll play it but if it's based on TRA-i'll have to finish playing that before i play TRU)....but the problem is...TRA make's me jump. (when thing's pop out-i scream)

*sigh*-HELP! :(

Hi Amanda,

Just so you know, to answer your question about TRU's story, it is a continuation of both TRL and TRA really; answering questions raised in each of those games apparently. It will be a good idea to finish TRA or at the very least watch cut scenes that you may find on Youtube to familiarise yourself with the story.

If you shock and jump when scary things pop out, I have one thing to say:
Well done Eidos !, you've made a next level way to realism ^^

Legend I got through as my 1st game in a few (2-3) months, but Anniversary...I _barely_ made it through the _basics_ + artifacts (no time trials) in more than that time. Even getting all the artifacts was pretty challenging -- there's one place where you have to pull a switch and do an ascent in obelisk of khamoon (egypt, part 2) in some very tight timer situation. Took forever to do that -- and there's no tricks to these -- they are just about continuing to do each section mindlessly, repetitively, until you can do the full (long) sequence w/o mistakes. Now, TRU is coming out -- still haven't finished the TimeTrials(TT) in Anniversary.

It's **really** hard to get into the scaling up the inside of the pyramid over the pit of lava -- one wrong move -- iiieeee... But even to go from platform to platform -- after the first 2, which are not pretty straight forward, the more complex ones involving leaps on slanting platforms, hit polls and must make jump B4 1st revolution or won't make the 'timer' -- must turn 180 degrees on 2nd poll -- make new leap, another poll, grapple, another jump sideways slanting, another grapple, & finally to a stable hand-hold that you can them leisurely climb to next platform. The 2 platform moves in the middle are complex multi-move things that require me ALOT of practice -- just to make them once -- I've only ever ascended that volcano-core thing TWICE -- once during original completion, and again recently, after swearing off TRA in frustration and anger for almost a year...

I was SO angry at the difficulty and time wasted -- the idea of even attempting the 'time trials' was beyond me at the time. But after a year of boredom, I'd calmed down and started trying them again...It's been 5 months -- and still haven't completed all TT's, (have the volcano/pyramid-interior column ascent, and all of egypt).

Peru's TT went "ok"...but I started jumping around in Greece -- the 34-minute
TT on St. Francis's folly took a long time...the game gets REAL boring when you have to continue to do the same sections again and again -- with each 'test' (Time Trial) being near 34-minutes -- until you fail, OR, if you finally -- 'win'... I usually practice at medium for TT's, so I can finish through the course. My first times that were <TT-limits were usually done on medium settings where my finish time was under the TT-time.

But in most cases even the game "shortcuts" (they call them cheats, but they really aren't, since they really don't help you 'cheat' or win -- since you can't get them until you've won without them -- so 'cheats' aren't really an appropriate word). Also seeing enemy damage? In "real life" you could normally see an enemy's health -- are they bang'ed up and barely standing? Or are they ready to fall over? Seems seeing enemy 'health' should be the norm.

So far, with the 'cheats' available, only 1 level or part can one of the cheats REALLY help you complete a Time-Trial. If -- you get some 'weapon' (complete TT for all of Peru to get infinite ammo on some weapon, -- or TT on Greece might work too (infinite shotgun), then you can turn that cheat 'on' at the beginning of a 1 TimeTrial -- Natla's mines. That gets you a gun at the beginning -- you can kill the harassing rats and shoot the glass plates that are keeping you from progressing -- that can shave nearly 10 minutes off that run. That's the *only* level (on PC at least) that I've found that some cheat actually could be used to help. But if you can do the TT's on
any of the geographic areas (Peru, Greece, Egypt) before you get to Natla's mines, you probably don't have dire need of the 10 minutes...But if you don't want to wast more time doing another TT in natla's mines, it's the only help or assistance that the cheats will give you in finishing the complete game
(traversing full route, getting all artifacts, completing all TT's).

Maybe I'm just being unrealistic in thinking I should be able to finish a game -- that the 'TT's might be "out of my league"....but that's not a very satisfying result to come from a game.

I noticed that the time-trial section on 'tombraider.(com/net?)' -- Stella's site never finished it's walk through for TRA -- it said it refers to a non-existent part of the website -- the hints on doing the TimeTrials. NONE of them were ever done. Not 1 level. I have a feeling that since Stella's been around from the beginning, that the 'stiffness' of TRA was a bit too high for most people to even consider the TT's (don't know if it is different in non-PC version -- I am using a game controller though, not a keyboard -- that alone makes makes a big difference). I wouldn't have been able to even do TRL if I hadn't figured out that you really need a full-buttoned game controller to actually play the game. Trying to control movement with the keyboard...just a joke, IMO, really -- and I did do the motorcycle runs via keyboard 1st -- they truly, were NO FUN.

Not sure about TRU -- going to have to see how to map the game controller over -- i'm fairly sure I have enough buttons (as many as the Xbox controller), so it should be doable, since they seem to by hyping TRU for the Xbox-version and giving special benefits to Xbox owners (wonder how much MS paid them for that exclusive...)...

May need a new graphics controller too -- TRU is WAY slow -- like slower than TRL with the 'next-gen graphics' on. Large pauses, lags, over 60-seconds for the game to get past the opening title lines. While I easily averaged 50-70 frames/sec (FRAP) in TRA, and the same in TRL with 'advanced graphics off -- more like 15-30 with it on), with TRU, I'm seeing frame rates as low as 1-2 -- but more typically ~15. So it's about 6-8 times slower than TRA, it looks like...ug...

At least I'm hoping that's the only prob. Otherwise, will be rather unhappy...(there I go again...setting up my expectations for disappointment again...)
(*sigh...when will I ever learn...*) :-)

a*a

Only 1 "part" (or level) can the 'cheats' actually help you 'cheat'.
And that's if you
