TR2 on PC

For some odd reason I can't get TR2 to install on my other PC.

The install window will not pop up! I tried pretty much everything. It works fine on this PC but not my other one.

Both are Windows XP and on this one I've downloaded a patch to fix any bugs.

So what happens when you insert the CD? Does the autorun come up?
In bringing up the auto-run, is the install button clickable?
What happens from then?

Have you tried running the installer without the auto-run? What happens if you do?

That happened to me with Chronicles. The only solution I found is playing it in another computer.

When I insert the CD, yes, the auto run does pop up, and the install button is clickable. After clicking it nothing pops up.

What about when trying to run "D:\Setup.exe"... what happens then?

Nothing opens up. The mouse cursor looks busy like the hour glass thingy like somethings going to happen but nothing does...errrgg!! :mad2:

Any scratches on the disc?

Lol yes, many. Old CD. =(

Does that affect the installation thing?

If the disc's too badly scratched then it won't be able to read the data from the disc. :(

But it works fine on my other computer. And there isn't too many scratches.

Could be differences in how well the CD drives read... try making a backup copy of the game, and running the game with that.
