I am so confused......
I just watched the new gameplay videos of Tomb Raider Underworld for the Wii, and I've got to admit, I am beyond disappointed.
Anniversary actually looks visually better than Underworld.
I don't understand why.....
The Wii gameplay videos reminded me of the Ps1 games!!!

Yes, hopefully this isnt really what it looks like in the end! I am playing on Wii, because I played Legend on Wii (gamecube version) and Anniversary and they were both great graphic wise, in my opinion. having later played on Xbox 360 I did notice they difference, but Wii is deffently capable of much more then this!

I agree, Wii is capable of more...
I just fear Ps2 is going to look like this, when Anniversary on the Ps2 was superb. I am going to be extremely upset if CD downgrades from Anniversary!

That Anniversary screen is not from Wii... the Wii version doesn't render at 800x600 or have anti-aliasing like that shot.

Well, my Wii Anniversary looks way better then those screen shots! It's not blurry at all, and theres no white outlines..

When I saw the wii gameplay videos I felt happy for the wii gamers.
I think it looks quite impressive for the Wii.

The screens Dusk Knight has posted were the first screens available for the wii version of Anniversary. Just remember that the game will look a lot better on your actual console than in low quality screenshots.

I don't think anyone should be upset with what we've got at the moment.

And since when was the graphics the most important aspect of a game? Especially a Wii game!

My thing is.....TRU for Wii doesn't look as good as Anniversary did at this stage. And it scary being so close to release time.
Perhaps people should take a glimpse at the TRA's Wii gameplay videos, then look at TRU's Wii gameplay videos.
The detail in the Anniversary videos before then game had even been released was unbelieveable......i'm just not seeing that with Underworld, and there no excuse for it.

I think the wii looks Good, I mean sure I dont play on the Wii and im not sure of its capabilities but i think the game looks alright, you guys shouldnt be too worried.

I agree.
I know the Ps3 & 360 are capable of alot more than Wii & Ps2, but the different versions shouldn't be that graphically less than the Ps3 and 360. Those Wii gameplay videos looks alot like Tomb Rider: Last Revelation to me!

As long as I get the game, at this point, I don't care.
If it means playing it on Wii 'til the PS2 version is out, I will.

My main concern is the story. Graphics get a slide because it is the Wii. Some Wii games have great graphics, but some don't because there is only so much they can do to make it look realistic. The system isn't cheese and crackers like everyone makes it seem. Brawl, Twilight Princess, Okami, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy and some of the WiiWare are probably the best things out there graphically for Wii. The rest is ehhh....PLBBBT.

TRU looks like one of the better games compared to everything else out there for Wii.
Hell, I barely play my Wii. TRU is the one thing that will make me turn my Wii on everyday.

so everyone should stop whining about it...its better to hav a game for the Wii then to not, so be happy with what you get....otherwise, buy another system or buy the game for another system you hav....dont complain about it...
theres a lot of better graphics and probably longer levels then anniversary and the Wii was probably not capable of handling it ALL...plus the Wii has those mini level things...
and the Wii has wireless remotes that you use hand movements to do things, i suggest one of you guys complaining try and make a game with all those graphics into the Wii version...its probably harder then everyone thinks....

all im saying is thanks for everything for the people who could make it possible for it to be on the Wii version and PS2...even if the graphics arent as good as PS3 or 360 i'm thanking you for doing the best you can:D :D :D

i have a wii (but im gunna play it on 360) saying it looks like the tomb raider the last relevlation is a bit extrem:nut:. i know that there will be no loading screens in locations(unlike anniversary) so it might not be able to handle as much but i dont know if thats just for the nex gen consoles. ninendo didnt want to make there console with amazing graphics like other consoles they just wanted there console:) :o :D ;) :rolleyes: :rasp: :thumbsup: to be fun

So is it safe to say that the wii graphics are similar to the PS2? If so, then I can't see too much of a problem with the screens and videos for the Wii. It is hard to compare them to the Anniversary ones as the location scenery is different although I'd agree the graphics do look a teeny bit better in TRA so far.

May I add though that in first seeing screens of TRA for the PS2, my first impression left me a tad disappointed, but that was because the quality of the screens and game-play vids weren't the best. Once I got the game I was pleasantly surprised. The final product was soo much better. I don't know how old those screens are, but it may be that we will see better when we are playing the game. I try not to judge the game before I see it for myself.

Graphics are way down the list of things that are important to me when it comes to judging a game. If the game-play is as good as it promises and the plot is as explosive as I imagine it is going to be, then I will be very happy indeed.

Well there's nothing that can be done now. You can't truly expect God of War quality from every non-minigame 'core' title the wii has to offer. The only Wii games that have decent graphics that I can think of are Super Mario Galaxy and The Conduit, and maybe a few more Nintendo-developed games like Legend of Zelda and Metroid Prime.

There's a slight chance I'll buy the Wii copy to play with the exclusive Wii features, but truth be told, waving your arms around pointing at the screen gets boring very quickly.

I'm not buying that as soon as it comes out if that is the quality to expect on the Wii.

Until the price is more agreeable, I am not buying it and considering the detail on the Egyptian levels in Anniversary, they have no excuse to churn out this poor-quality in comparison.

If Crystal keeps this up, I may stop buying the games despite Lara being a role model to me for more than half of my life.

yeah, but the WII/PS2 versions are being created by Buzz Monkey, so we dont know if it has been submited yet. on amazon it has been delayed till the 2nd of December so....

Its pretty obvious that people will have their different opinions towards the same thing, and I see no wrong in expressing it, but I think those who think the Wii version looks Scary should just wait and see. Having a Wii, no I have not played Anniversary on the Wii but I see no wrong in waiting. I am not saying to wait, go buy the game, put it in and play to judge it. I am just saying wait to see what it actually looks like from people who have played it, then you can make your judgement. Yes, the pictures look scary but who doesnt like a good scare... :)
