Hi Ladymoose.
Your question would be better answered in the Anniversary forum. A mod will likely move it there for you.
First, how can you survive on the Internet with no space bar?
As for the Centaurs, you have to duck when they attempt to petrify you. As you shoot them, they pause, then you can get their shield. I don't remember exactly how, but it was difficult. Stella has excellent walkthroughs (if you can resist reading ahead of yourself). You could resort to a savegame just after that point too. Other members will have advice, and I'm sure there is a thread about the Centaurs. Good luck.

I had my space bar stop working once after spilling coffee on my keyboard.
Easiest solution I found was to highlight a space with my mouse, copy it and use Ctrl-V instead.
As far as your TR problem goes, I hated that level. MrsP cheated to get through it but I stopped playing after the game seemed to be forcing me to do that (even though I did get past them in the end after checking a walkthrough).

More than likley you have a popped spring. The space bar should pop out. Just pop it out and make sure you have springs (usually 2 although old keyboards may only have 1. it should be easy to see how many are needed) If you are indeed missing the spring, check around your keys or desk for it. Replace, snap into place and you should be good to go.
