:mad2:   Tell me please how to do an adrenlaline dodge correctly. I'm doing something wrong & have never been able to get past the Tihocan Centaurs. Once in a blue moon when I do stop one for a second my grapple won't grab the shield. Thanks!!!

Okay, I play on PS2 but you will get the idea. First off, there's a pattern to their movements, watch and memorize it. Keep moving side to side to avoid the fireballs. Your guns are drawn with one button and you fire with another. When you see the green glow stop shooting and put the guns away or you will be turned to stone. When the glow ends, continue shooting and now it's time for one of them to charge. This is indicated by a "rage meter". Keep the guns drawn, during the charge, the action will go into slow motion. At this time, roll in a sideways direction, two gray targets will come together to form a red one, a chime sounds, shoot one shot now, the bullit hits the head and stuns it. Quickly put the guns away and you should see a grapple ring on the shield. throw the grapple at that ring and pull the shield out and it lands on the ground. Now repeat on the other. When both shields are down stay close to them and start blasting until the green glow starts. At this time pick up a shield and point it at the glow sending the ray back to the beast, it turns to stone, get close and blast it until it breaks apart. It takes a certain amount of shots to kill it so if you weren't fast enough the first time, you'll have to finish it on the second. Repeat for the second beast. Time is limited so you need to be fast. Try practice runs and remember to be patient.

I had this same problem but on the 360. I was pressing sideways and crouch but the targets wern't coming up. I then found that you had to hold target aswell as do the sideways and crouch thing. I'm not sure if that's just for the 360 but i thought i'd chime in anyways.

It could be the Combat Mode (in the options section). I'm not completely sure, but I think the adrenaline dodge is easier to do when the Combat Mode is set as Advanced Toggle. (or was it Advanced Hold?............... .........no I think Toggle :o )

Anyway, Lara's guns should be drawn during the whole procedure. Make sure you don't shoot before the reticule is red!

I'm on a PC, and remapped some stuff to the mouse to make it easier. I use the middle mouse button (press on wheel instead of turn it) to grapple, and the right mouse button for roll, duck, dodge. Left button is still fire weapon. This reduces the number of keys I have to press at the same time with the left hand.

You want weapons mode in advance toggle, so Lara doesn't holster her weapons on her own. Once you're getting charged, you don't need to fire any more shots (if you keep shooting, the game may register a shoot at a "too soon" shot for the dodge sequence).

As the opponent get's close, move to one side and hit the dodge button, wait for the swirling circles to align and fire.

I found the controls for TR:A on PC to be easy enough,
using Manual Combat, drawing the guns by holding down the RMB (right-mouse-button) and then pressing 'A' (left) and 'Shift' (roll) during the dodge was easy enough.

On PSP it's out of advanced hold or advanced toggle... adv.Toggle is easier generally, except for an A-D when Lara will occasionally holster her weapons before the chance to headshot

I used to have problems with it on the keyboard controls, but when I bought an X-Box 360 controller for Windows it made it so much easer. The centaurs, the t-rex. Things which previously held me up for hours.

Yeah it's dead easy with a gamepad instead of using the keyboard. The game was originally designed for consoles. :)
