I guess that would be the vignette part 5 ... or 6. The sinking ship level looks great as I suspected, but to be honest some of those jump really don't look good... Especially that one when she jumps from the block unto the legde... its just painfull to watch... I thought this already when seeing the previous movies but I trusted they would fix it, they had never let me down before... But I'm starting to worry now slightly, now that we're getting near the release date...

i completely agree with Jurre. the ship level looks awesome! but some of the animations are really not good :p and the release is coming close. i expected a Lara Croft wich moves like a real person but some things are like some kind of cartoon superhero.

I'm glad they've gone into such close attention and excellence with the animation.

I'm an animation major myself, and if there's one major thing I can't stand in a videogame it's terrible, stiff, horribly motion-captured, soulless character animation.

Thankfully CD has made absolutely sure that their animation is none of those and, instead, the opposite...which is awesome.

well some of her moves arent so realistic. i mean no one can jump so high while hanging on a ledge and some of her moves dont look so good. like the swan dive, or the free climb animation or some other animations. AOD animations were more realistic but in Underworld Lara walks and run like a real woman.

Exactly, running and moving like a real woman is realistic ;) . but perhaps you didn't hear in the video when they say that Lara can be almost super-human in the way she moves? So realism isn't necessarily what you are going to get when she climbs. But they did use motion capture for her running and tumbling, so it won't be 'picture' perfect, but natural movements.

Yes I can see what you mean where there is the odd jump that looks a bit dodgey, but i'm sure these things will be rectified. To be perfectly honest though, if the final game featured those little imperfections, the game would still be a milimeter away from perfection. :D

Finally, I love those back rolls when aiming. The hand springs were nice in Anniversary, but it looks a lot more realistic now, it looks like Lara is throwing herself backwards to distance herself from her attacker. :D :D

Yeah well, what Tevin says... or what I think he's trying to say, does make some sense... It could be that the video is been.... whats the word? Accelerated? Well you know, being played faster... That could cause that effect.

Yeah, or with her legs dangling after a jump form ledge to ledge... it goes too fast.

The video and the actual game look awesome!!!!:lmao:I love the new motion capture, except it seems like she climbs a little fast, and i dont like how she rolls back words. But i know the game isnt out yet so ill have to wait and see. Ive also heard that the movements or something likie that is one of the very last thing they do when creating a game (not sure if thats true or not though) sry if that sounded like complaining. the nagas look awesome too, along with the ship level. I can see what everyone is talking about with the jarring movements. Personally, I think they sped up the video of actually gameplay. This way they could show gameplay, while at the same time, keep the vignette short and sweet. Also, if you watch the part when she is swimming, it is extremely fast. I don't think she'll be able to swim THAT fast, so IMO more evidence that those portions were accelerated. Overall, loved the vignette, I also do. I can't wait!

It would be pretty funny if when Lara is poisoned, we get the return of the stretchy-crazy screen from the classics, of when Lara is poisoned.

I'd prefer not to be able to be poisoned though. Usually it required using some sort of health item to restore the character. I remember Resident Evil Nemesis on the hardest difficulty, being poisoned and running out of blue herbs. What a nightmare.

But back onto the subject, I love that things follow Lara! And a couple of shots smashes them straight back to the bottom.
