Mac and Xbox 360 Controller

Is there anyway to use the Xbox 360 controller as a gamepad in Anniversary. I have downloaded the 3rd party driver for the 360 controller but when i try and use it as a gamepad the buttons are all wrong, eg Y does the function A should do and some buttons do nothing.

Is there a patch or anything that enables the xbox 360 controller to be used a functional input device for the mac version of Anniversary?

I got the controller to work with Halo (version 1.5 and then the UB)

It would be really nice to play with a gamepad that is compatible like Pc users can.
