why my map don't have ground textures?

that is because you painted textures on the top layer, and not the bottom layer.

you MUST paint the bottom layer. the top layer is not important.

also, map editor has been updated to 3.1

Can you make "save project"?(now we must make whole map and we can't open exported maps)

you can import your projects. it requires a few steps. thats what i was doing while making the YouTube videos. if you want to know how, here is how: http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/Cartography3D/ImportingProjects

it sounds like a good idea to make "save project". i will try it.

Many thanks friend kwAnTUM cuz u gave us the thing that we all wishhing to have it, the Map Editor Beta v3.4, but i hope u give us more videos about it, like how to use it exactly... you know cuz i cannot do anything now..., i don't know how to use it :scratch: , so i hopw u give them to us.;)

I think that u must downoad it again, then u extract it again, and try to lunch it, and what is the problem again...:scratch:

well, just to let you know the current version is 3.7.0
it includes the new advanced brush tool: you can make maps faster with it.

is the game on CD? maybe that is the problem.
i don't know if the map editor will work with praet on CD, but it does work when praet is installed.

I hope u add the latest one..., but i wanna know if i installed it right, cause i only downloaded it then i extract it, but it works on my pc;)

It works, but program can't load map or create new one...
Game was installed in 2005 :D And it's not needed CD for playing. Then i tried install new game from CD, russian version :rasp: And program again not worked :(

Really i did not tried to exprot maps, but i will later...;), but i think that u "Ratiborus" can't export...right??

So if u can't i guess it's from the editor so i hope friend kwantum give us the version that u used to do the maps in the new mod...;)

I remember one guy had that problem too. He solved it by extracting the map editor into the Praetorians folder.

Someone had recently told me about a bug, so i updated again, this time to 3.7.1

i know why it doesnt work. its because the editor cant find praet's files.

you can add this to the Stage.xml file:
<MediaFolder path = "Data/" />

or you can download version 3.8.0 from my website http://kwantum.mod-project.com
