The majority of Tomb Raider's "myths" have some bit of factual base around them. Maybe your friend needs to expand his horizons and pick up a book or two.

If anything, most new games out are more brainwashing. LOL.

We used to all play, my mother, brother and I, but my brother left for college and everything. So Tomb Raider was/is our kind of family game night activity. . .every night.

Now, my younger brothers have gotten into it. They watch me play Anniversary.

I wouldn't get mad, as has been said before everybody is entitled to an opinion.There's no accounting for taste though. I'm the same, my friend isn't really as interested in TR as he used to be. You get that a lot with a series that has suffered at some point though. He lost interest at chronicles and was not reall interested enough to follow after that as many people weren't and now TR is an old franchise that a lot of new gamers don't pay attention to. Its really a shame because they will never see how great they have become again.

That's nice. Wish we had anything like that in my "family".
When I was about 7 I had Tomb Raider on the PS1 and I would just play it for endless hours, every single day without fail whilst my parents would argue.
The best thing is, I wouldn't give a #### about them arguing whilst I was playing Tomb Raider.

I guess my obsession over Tomb Raider was useful. :lol:

SO agreed, IMHO 'Drake's F' had nothing in commor with TR. It was over-rated, under-done and un-realistic. Its all about action, TR is about platforming, puzzle solving, decision making and then just for fun a bit of action. Another game TR gets likened to is POP, which looking at the new trailers i can see happening a lot over the next few months.
Some people need to get things straight;

A/ TR...and even Legend came before Drake, therefore how could it copy?
B/ TR1 revolutionized the POP series the majority of its platforming in the sands of time trilogy was based on what they had seen Lara do in TR.
