Who wishes underworld will be released in October or September?

I understand if they haven't finished the game yet but didn't anniversary come out only a few months after Legend, this is too long! I want it to come out sooner, i know there is a demo soon but i am not downloading it, i just want to go on the actual game and i don't want to wish my life away, i wish crystal could speed up! Who else agrees.

I wish it would come out sooner but its fine. The remaining time will be able to tweek whatever is left to do in Underworld and promote the game(Leipzig for example).

They're handling things correctly. so it doesn't bother me

Yup. It also gives them a good 3 months to do nothing but promote Underworld everywhere to get the news out to everyone and also November release lets them do the final polishing on Underworld to make sure its as perfect as possible

EEEEKKK!!! im going to cry on November 21st when everyone will be happily raiding without me, and i will have to isolate myself from the boards for a month to preserve spoiling it!

Really, it doesn't seem long at all. Didn't TRA come out around spring or summer of 2007? So it's less than two years. Jeez, it's scary how fast time passes once you get past 30!

TRA came out just months after TRL because the story was already written, the locations were predetermined, and the game engine was essentially the same as TRL. It was, after all, a remake of TR1. I'm not saying it didn't involve a ton of work, and I'm certainly not taking anything away from the designers, but they weren't working from scratch.
TRU tells a new story, with entirely new levels/locations and lots of new gameplay mechanics. They're not even reusing the animations from TRA and TRL. Also, the designers promised that TRU would be a longer game. We can't sit here complaining about TRL being too short and then also complain when the designers try to make a bigger game and take a bit longer to do it.

Besides, if it came out in September, you'd be done with it by October and getting anxious for the next game. As it stands now, you'll still have something to look forward to when October arrives.:D Think positive.

If I got my parents to buy Underworld for me, they would say the same thing.
Which is why I've already preordered it myself, so I'm playing it as soon as possible.

I think underworld's release date is just fine, if they rush it, it properly end up like AoD!

Eidos publish it, they are the game publishers, usually they (= Eidos) would be the ones to advertise it.


AOD was finished for me.

A whole lot of what AoD could've been was cut out. (Look at a KTEB site and this becomes fairly clear). I personally find it hard to see past the poor quality of the controlling. If early release/cut development time comes with those sorts of issues then later is better. Although indefinite delay doesn't achieve anything either.
