My theary about the Zip shooting.

the first teaser trailer showing lara blowing up the manor might really be Natla or Amanda, because when it shows the newest trailer with Zip shooting at her, she was inside and her expression was like wth is going on with the fire coming at her both ways and Zip might have not known she was inside, cuz she was trapped in that hallway and he looks out the window and see's the fake Lara, and so he thinks that the real lara was trying to kill them when she finds them.

Proof they were in the mansion. The front doors that Winston is getting ready to open when Zip shoots at Lara, and when Lara pulls up her guns saying "Drop it Zip or I'll Drop you" Behind her is one of the lamps that were next to the sofa.

i don't know... :confused: i really believe that it is no one other than lara who blows up her manor, because if it was anyone else but her wouldn't they show some happiness or a sick villian laugh... they wouldn't turn away with their head down. so i really think it's lara.

i'm going to have to re-watch the trailer but i think that some structures did look familiar...:cool:

Although I thought Amanda and Lara looked kinda alike in the old tomb raider...and since the characters are changing there look a little, Amanda might have died her hair to look like Lara because of there simular features?

Maybe if Lara's adventure starts in the sea, she beats that giant octopus. Then in the trailer we see her in the swimsuit going to Natla(same level). And maybe while talking with Natla, Lara's evil clone(made by Natla?) blows up the house. After Lara returns, Zip doesn't bealive if it's real Lara, so he starts shooting. But line, "Drop it Zip, or I'll drop you" doen't fit in. So she need an artifact to kill Natla, but it will destroy world too, so Zip want's to stop her. And as we know from legend, "Anyone, between me and this stone dies" - Lara will do anything to reach her own goal.Maybe it explains why she's about to shoot Zip(or simply: Zip has taken the bad side). However Zip monologue in trailer seems to be really peaceful. I'm so confused :mad2: and will jump into the window soon. :lmao: I think it's too early for theories, let's wait for designers to bring some more clues...or just give us the game!

Agreed and Exactly. In the TEASER trailer its Lara outside. Actual game play trailer and what REALLY goes on in the game is Lara inside the mansion when it blows because like it has been stated, during the zip scene they're in the burning mansion.

I'm not sure who's behind the attack on the mansion. All I know that it's not Lara. I kinda lean towards it was Zip who planted the explosives at first because of him shooting at Lara but then again hes in the same burning mansion with her so why would he blow up with himself inside.

So im still totally confused lol

It makes sense that Zip has been working for Natla the whole time. Remember in Legend, I believe the Africa map, where Lara lost connection with Zip and that other idiot Alister? Well, if it had been an actual invasion into the mansion they would've killed Zip & Alister, or at least beat them and take them hostage in order to get the other piece of that sword. They escaped without even a scratch.... (:scratch: )

So now Natla is running out of time and becomes aggressive forcing Zip to get at Lara and hand over whatever she may have to Natla, even if it means killing Lara.

I think ALL of the bosses from every game should attack the mansion at once, like a league of bad guys who have been ass-kicked by a chick and want revenge. That would be great! I'm just kidding - but someone with level editor skills could probably throw this together.

I made movies of all the FMVs from TRA and TRL and I noticed something interesting. In TRL I noticed that Allister, for as smart as he was, seemed to play a little dim-witted . This is leading me to perhaps another theory.
I'm starting to suspect that maybe Allister was working for Amanda either voluntarily or involuntarily in order to keep tabs on Lara. I came to this thought from certain things I saw in TRL, subjective of course.
1. In the beginning at Nepal, he was "away" and then joined in... perhaps giving intel to Amanda?
2. In Cornwall, UK, Zip is like " you see that?" and he is all " huh? what?" and then after Lara kicks but at the end of the level, he looks all concerned and worried and says in not so many words that he was scared. I starting wondering, if maybe he was worried because maybe Lara wasn't supposed to make it out with the sword, Rutland's men were supposed to get it, so he could get the sword for Amanda.

Okay, the reason I started noticing these things is because in the flashlight scene of the new trailer, you can see old dude, Lara, Zip and who I think is Allister carrying a crate. So my question was, " Where is Allister in the mansion scene when Zip shoots at Lara?" Everyone is there except Allister. I started thinking, maybe Allister dies and Zip is upset and shoots towards Lara because he feels like it's her fault. This led me to the theory that maybe Allister, either willing or not, has been giving info to Amanda(who I think is working w/ Natla). After flashlight scene, Lara finds out because maybe he tries to take something from her and, either, she shoots him in defense or he dies as a results of her attaining something. Later, the three left are going to leave the mansion and Zip still upset about what happened and feeling like Lara is taking things too far, shoots in her direction, however, not AT her. The bullet goes through the candle starts a fire and then Lara's awesome line, "Drop it Zip or I'll Drop You!".

I hope that makes sense. Maybe not the theory, but at least how I got to it. :o

I hate to rain on your parade, but--The Lara with the yellow Collar is just Lara. At the end of the trailer she still has the yellow collar, it's just not very noticeable, due to the lighting. I wont say anything about there being a Lara Doppleganger, because there's a possibility, also TR1/TRA has proven that.

No you are wrong because i was looking at the Lara with the yellow colar she has a metal thingy on the side of her, and also she hasn't got as much of a V neck as the one without a colar. Also the fake one does look more evil and theres something strange about her.

I've watched the trailer many-many times. From Youtube, to the HD version. I see the metal piece on her shoulder-back-pack strap in both views/shots of her. Where it shows her close-up just before she says "No" in suspense. She has the same yellow Collar. Her face is still the same, the lighting it just as tad darker. Her brow-bone is steeper in TR:U, if you've noticed in the very first screenshots we got to lay our eyes on. Let along, yes, she has the same "V" neckline , like you've seen in the TR:U gameplay. The wet suit hasn't changed, since we last oogled it.

i remember reading somewhere that laras house blowing up was going to be near the beginning of the game, in the gameplay trailer you hear zip talking on the head set, why would zip try shooting at her then be on her side wen shes on the adventures? i think zip is just up set that shes getting a hammer and he got kicked out of all the french restaurants he used to work at. *(lol)*

anyways. i was watching the trailer in HD and i noticed.

when people say that Zip is shooting a candle, I dont see the flame on "the candle" so I dont think he hit a candle, but he could, i didnt see a flame though, and i watched it over and over again. But I dont have a clue what that is. Cuz theres 2 of them if you watch it. Neither of them had flames.

But it is possible.
