That was weird! Someone's got to get a screenshot of that because that part was a bit confusing (plus i had to switch computers and this one's really slow).

But what was really freaky was that

Lara (in the trailer) blew up Croft Manor from, yet Lara (in the gameplay) was inside when the explosion happened!

That's going to turn a few heads that someone else detonated the Manor in the trailer. So the rumors could be true.

Either that or Lara masters time travel.

I think it's like this when Lara says: Drop it Zip or I'll drop you, either Zip shot at someone else or he's just very clumsy..but for the reason that they're showing that lara finds natla, after Zips shot, that it could possibly be natla or someone else zip was shooting at. And another point, Lara's standing facing Zip and Winston and when Zip fires she turns around and looks back..hmm If were aimed by somebody wouldn't you cover yourself and still keep your eyes on the person shooting you?? :)

Another weird thing is that it's almost like the Croft Manor sequences are showing a second Lara in the Manor. One is wearing the dark jacket but the other one's still in the swimsuit.

Yeah I mentioned them being in the burning mansion in a few threads and everyone ignored that fact lol and no she didn't blow up her own house because shes in it when its exploding as seen in the trailer. I still think zip had something to do with it though, why hold winston hostage and shoot at your supposed friend if your not up to something

I also see that he's not holding Winston or anything, so I doubt he's taking anyone hostage.

Anyway, I want to add that this time, too, no true gameplay was added to the trailer...we don't see the game as if we were watching a level (which is for me the best way to understand the gameplay), but still that lot of dramatic action takes away the attention from the gameplay itself.

Yeah, As long as Lara keeps selling games, i don't see them stopping. Just by the trailers we've had I can all ready sell this is going to a great selling game :D

Seems Crystal out did themselves this time and made a sleeper hit.

While Lara Croft and Tomb Raider are a hugely known franchise, I call it a sleeper hit only because of whats coming out the same time Tomb Raider is with stuff like Gears 2,Fable 2, Resistance 2,LBP. This game is kinda under the radar to alot of people.

But when its released I wouldn't be suprised to see this game at the top of the sales charts and have it really take people by suprise

As for the "surprise return", I don't think it's a good thing. Sure it makes the story "larger" but when "grand enemies" get their come-uppance, it becomes really hard to get excited about anyone else and things seems to die. Other villians pale in comparison and seem boring. What you don't want in an ongoing series like Tomb Raider is someone as interesting as Lara, then things become about the two of them. And when one goes, the other is sort of left dangling.

I would say it is very likely there is something that we're missing. That's the point, I think. Eidos/CD are seemingly revealing so much with the trailers and yet holding back too. Can't reveal too much can they. Keep us mortals guessing and wait for us to go Ohhhh! when we get the game.

I don't believe Natla could help Lara in anyway...It would be totally crazy.

Lara says she needs to "kill a god"...so she wants to kill something that's generally intended as "immortal" and the only immortal character we've ever met is just Natla.
First, Natla herself declares that "she can't die". Then, in Anniversary, a few of the words of Natla had announced she would be back at some point along the way - and the way Natla says she's "happy" to see Lara is very clear: she will be an enemy to fight against.

We also must keep in mind that Natla is related to the Scion - which, at CD, has become the origin of everything in the adventures of Lara; the artifact is a link also to Lara's father (who clearly comes back in Underworld giving her daughter some hints about the location of the belt of Thor, under the Mediterrean Sea). So, if Lara makes her way to discover some other secrets of Natla, she's probably going to work out the situation of the sudden disappeareance of Amalia, her mother. Natla, in my opinion, is the key to all the answers Lara has been looking for from Legend going on - she's not only the one who's tried to get the Scion, she's also got the info from the underworld to give Lara the solution for the disappearence of her mother...well, in my opinion. ;)

The game seems to look better and better with each new peice of media. Im now almost certain Im going to love this game:D .

Is anyone else having frame-rate issues with the gamespot video. I think because that video player has too many other things like flash ads on it its slowing down the actual video. The french one I found a Jeux Expo is much more smooth.

Also it sounds like natla's back. Okay but interesting thought, dont you think Natla and Amanda are a bit similair. Do you think theres a chance of them having some kind of relationship or even being the same person. And maybe theres some relationship between Atlantis and Avalon.

Hi there everyone. these are my observations regarding the whole Zip shooting Lara part:

It seems to me that Zip was entering the mansion in that moment (he's at the entrance door), and he shot something else. If you look closely you'll see how the bullet goes through the candle on one of the tables of the living room. He also puts his hand back like closing the door.

I also see that he's not holding Winston or anything, so I doubt he's taking anyone hostage.

yeah its pretty obvious they are in the manor in that scene and also in the manor when its burning as there are lamps and other objects in the background on fire.

The only questions what are Zips motives? We all ready know Lara's. But Zip wouldn't shoot for no reason

Ok here's my philosophy. I think that what we see in this first frame is doppelgangerlara, the first shot of Lara was totally astonished then suddenly comes out looking all evil? I don't see it happening, I think Natla has made some sort of more advanced Bacon Lara, which she controls, or she's morphed into Lara and she's wrecking the mansion etc. and trying to get to Thor's Hammer first. Which is why Zip might have tried to shoot her, but out of his surprise sees another one behind the first one's back, Lara turns around and is surprised as well to see, her doppelganger/Natla.

Nah, I don't think it's a doppleganger. That's been done already in Atlantis. Maybe the artifact Lara discovers takes over her and Zip is trying to stop her? In that picture though it might be that Zip is just aiming at whatever Lara is looking at. Hmm, :scratch: a thick plot for sure. They finally gave Zip a good role at least, and from the looks of that picture, it looks like Winston does too.
