Thief 2 Mission "Courier"

Well i followed Mosley to the dropoff spot and waited patiently on the pagan to show up. But every time he picks up the letter he looks around and the mission ends. I know this isn't right because I'm in the dark and he has no reason to be suspicious of anything. I didn't pick up the letter at all. So I'm starting to think that there might be a glitch in the game and I don't know what to do about it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Try reading the letter before he shows up.

yeah i tried doing that right after i posted this and it worked, each time i play that mission i forget to do that (it's been a while since i played it though lol) i was really starting to get frustrated. but thanks anyways :)
