Is there a way to delete unwanted profiles in the game?

There should be a "delete profile" option under "select profile", under the main menu. (press backspace when in the "select profile" screen for PC, to delete the highlighted profile)

If not, then (on PC) you could probably just delete the savegame folder that has the profile saves.
