on the PC: do you play with controls wasd or you adjust your controls? I play with little arrows and End, PageDown, Home and numbers.

Basically I've owned every single Tomb Raider game on PC right up to and including TR: Anniversary. I recently bought both Legend and Anniversary for 360, but since getting a PS3 I feel that I'll probably end up getting most of my games on PS3 unless there are any technical difficulties or issues with the PS3 version.

I'll be playing it on my Wii, as it's the only 3rd gen console I have (my computer isn't fit for playing it) and making use of the Wii remote's capabilities the way it does makes it a great console to play it on.

It's not the Playstation that defines the game generation though. :) Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are part of the seventh generation of gaming consoles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_consoles).

Thats what I did with Legend before I bought the 360. When it came out for Xbox and PS2 I just didnt buy it because it was being released on the 360 which I didnt have so instead I just bought more Xbox and PS2 games and then later when I got bored of those consoles I bought an Xbox 360 especially for Tomb Raider Legend. But Im not doing that again just for Tomb Raider especially not now since my current console is in the middle of its life-cycle(rather than the end like last time) and there are plenty of other games to invest in.

Someone said before that there were few players on 360. I think that this happens because XBox 360 is a console that isn't very popular in these kind of games but goes very nice in FPS's and RPG's. I don't know if TR can be considerated as a RPG but what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't fit in the RPG's 360's players are used to ;)

I got a PS3 recently and it came with Metal Gear Solid 4. If the visual performance I saw on that game is any indication of what TRU will be like, I'll be excited. So far my decision is to get the PS3 version. Especially since I can play it on my dad's large 1080 resolution plasma screen with a Monster HDMI cable.

My XPS gaming laptop can almost do TR Anniversary on full anti aliasing, but not quite. It will do the lower 16x or whatever it is on the options. It won't do full specs on Legend. And I'm sure it will be further below the max for TRU. So my decision is the PS3 version.

TRU promises to have an enhanced lighting model that will render better images than the Legend/Anniversary engine.
... and, of course, there's the other special effects like contextually sensitive color blending, etc.
So the game promises to look better on all platforms, as a result.
Its going to be tough just buying a single copy ...

Some people are collectors so they want to have each copy, although it doesn't necessary mean they have to play each copy...

Also I might be getting the DS version because it seems it's the same story but different experience. :cool:

I´ve played Legend and anniversay on both PC and PS2, decided it was time to move on to the next gen of consoles and bought a 360 because of the online stuff and also most reviews favor the 360.

Playing Legend and Aniversary on the 360 is so much better and I´m hoping Underworld will blow me away.

I´m also thinking about getting a PS3 because of God of War 3, what do you ps3 players think about the console? is it any good?

I think the PS3 console is awsome and I look forward to playing TRU on it. Just be sure to get it connected to the internet to update it when needed. And hey, you can also use it as a Blu Ray disc player. If you have a high definition TV and an HDMI cable, you're all set.

If anyone is thinking of getting a PS3 and has the money but aren't sure if they should because of the cost, I'd say really consider getting one. It pretty much got me back into console gaming. The last console I had before this was the Nintendo 64. I never got into the Gamecube, PS2, or Wii. About a week before getting the PS3, not even that, if anyone told me I'll be getting a PS3 on my own decision I'd be like yeah right, get outta here. Then I wanted a Blu Ray player and any stand alone player that was about as good as the PS3 had around the same price tag. So I decided okay, I'll just get a PS3 then.

I've had my xbox 360 since launch date and never have had a problem and don't act like PS3 is error free. With the new updates they've been releasing, a crap load of people have got their systems bricked,system freezing, so yeah ps3 has its problems too.

I might end up getting it for ps3 though, since my ps3 is collecting dust with the lack of games for the system. Might as well give it some playing time for once lol

xbox 360 rocks, i have that and sold ps2 in 2006 along with tr legend to get xbox 360 for christmas, but i have legend and anniversary on xbox 360 so i'm gonna get it on xbox 360 coz its really easy controls and the shooting button you press is just like a real trigger on an actual gun so if i were you get it on xbox 360!

i havent played on ps2 for ages coz we sold ours for an xbox 360 ^^^, so i know which buttons there are, O, X, Square and triangle, there is RB and RT, i think, is that correct like on xbox 360 and LB and LT, i haven't been on for ages so i know the controls are exact same as xbox 360 apart from the fact the are two analog sticks in different places oon the controler which i found weird after playing ps2 and there is only one control pad on xbox 360 i think, Y is Triangle, B is O, X is square, A is X. thats what i know, some one tell me if i am right! to swan dive i know its X and O, xbox 360 is A and B, yey, i still know what the controls are after two years!!

I know what you mean about the lack of games. I'm a new PS3 owner myself and now I'm noticing it. There is a selection of games but I dunno, the ones I'm interested in are still 60 bucks at stores. I'm waiting for games like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword(another game with an ass kicking female) to go down in price. Otherwise it's 120 bucks for both together. I'm not always opposed to paying that much for a couple games but this time I'll wait.

Of course I'll preorder TR Underworld and have it right when it comes out. I'm okay in this case obviously.

At least I can enjoy Blu Ray movies, which is the original reason I got the PS3.

Yeah but Uncharted and Heavenly Sword are great games. But neither have real good replay-ability and Nariko in Heavenly Sword, she does kick some ass. It's good to see female roles coming into play and as main characters rather than being the same ol ''damsel in distress'' type lol. Now the women are saving the dudes.

Only game I currently own on the PS3 now are Metal Gear Solid 4 since im a HUGE fan of the series, have every game dating back from the NES days. I also have Resistance Fall Of Man but only because I got that for free lol and WARHAWK which i downloaded from PSN. I had alot of games in the past but ended up selling them. Now im just awaiting Little Big Planet lol.

You like most people bought it for the blu-ray player. While that's cool, I just wish sony would get us some games, which are coming near end of the year.

I'm going to be so broke between games that are for 360 and PS3, theres litteraly like 8 I want for 360 and like 4 or so for PS3.

but TRU is up on my ''top must get games'' so there is no way im holding out on getting this one. have mine pre-ordered all ready

Funny, the reason I bought a 360 was because of Tomb Raider. Why would you buy a PS3 especially for Tomb Raider when the most Next Gen version of Tomb Raider Legend is on 360?

Though if it did perform better on a PS3 that might give me a good excuse to buy a PS3 because right now I cant justify the purchase decision:o

Yeah i have both PS3 and 360 and i had to debate which system to buy it for. I ultimately picked 360 just because I play on the system more and I know more people on xbox 360 that are going to be playing this game, so it will be fun to exchange camera photos with them that i take :)
