One of the things that really annoyed me about TRL and TRA was the fact there are only four savegames for the consoles. In this day and age, 4 save files is ridiculous. There should be at least ten if not more.
And let's just consider all the "Unlimited PC save file" comments as made, OK?

It reminds me of the adventure mode of Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii) - you have 50 different slots. No way in hell you'll have 50 different people playing the same game in a single household, but if it were to happen, you wouldn't have people overwriting each other's savegames. :)

When saving game progression in GTA4, there were about 10 slots or a dozen of them. But with them, I think it existed since the original. Or maybe it began with GTA3.
For MGS4, I have about 16 different save files because it was always inside a New Save. Why ? Out of replaying in the future.
So if either specifically a save slot expansion in Options or New Save in hard drive occurs, it will be fine.
Personally, I'm in favor of the second choice.

I had 30 for Silent Hill 3. In games where you have to really think and explore, it's nice to know you can backtrack by save.

So I'm guessing that you don't use a PC then LisaB .
Strange issue. Such a thing has never bothered me especially when there is replay level option plus I alway save in 1 max 2 spots

No, 10 is ridiculous.
Why so many?
You only need 1 and then just overwrite it everytime your save after that.
And when you finish TRL & TRA, not matter how you've saved you're gonna be able to pick what level you want to play.
So it doesn't really matter, unless you really love being organized.

I keep several different files so I can backtrack easily. Save before entering an area, before pulling a lever, it's just one way of controlling the game.
Four save game files in this day and age is extremely chintzy. I can't think of any action/adventure game that gives you so few.
I have played TR on the PC, I just don't prefer the experience.

Yeah, neither do I.
I like playing TR and any other games on consoles.
But I get where your coming from with the save files.

Yup, I <3 Wii. :D I will definitely play TRU on Wii, but will not limit myself to it and will play on all other platforms too (I have a cousin who runs a game rental store, so I'm sure I can borrow his PS3/360 for a couple of days to raid till death. :D)
Anniversary on Wii was just so much fun so even if the graphics are not as good, I'm sure that gameplaywise it will more than make up for 'outdated' graphics. :)
