not exactly, adrenaline dodge is what you've (hopefully) seen in TRA, where you dodge;) the animal approaching you to do a headshot
adrenaline moment is a moment to do whatever (jump/leap for example)

oh. does it mean we have to choose either make Lara jump/leap/crouch/duck somewhere safe/hazardous? :D

btw, i still couldn't get the Adrenaline Dodge(A.D) right. i sorta missed the target or something. i dunno but i still couldnt master it until today. when do we exactly press the Shoot button during the A.D? coz each time the target turns red, nothing happens when i press the Shoot button. Lara got squished or hit instead. TT_TT

When the two target reticules align together and turn red you fire.

From what I have read, the adrenaline moments are when the game slows down and you have to choose an appropriate move and direction to get her out of the situation Lara may be in.

For example, let's take the footage we've seen of the Kraken. The Kraken begins to pull down a platform Lara is on; thus, the game slows down. You have to jump - in this occasion - off the platform to another platform.

Adrenaline Moments in TRU are an improvement over the Adrenaline Dodge move from TRA.

While in Combat Mode (guns drawn), AD's were initiated by the player choosing an evasive move during a time when a monster was engaged in a Rage Attack. The AD culminated in a Head Shot sequence.

Another element to consider is the Interactive Cutscenes from TRA, where the appropriate button responses were shown and strictly scripted.

Unlike AD's, AM's will be initiated circumstantially by the player (i.e. being in the right place at the right time), so there's a surprise nature to them. Unlike IC's, the appropriate responses aren't scripted or hinted at, so the player needs to (intuitively and uninterruptedly) do the right thing to avoid negative consequences. This can happen during combat or during exploration, or anytime.

What's similar is the cool graphics during the seqeunce ... time will appear to slow down and the vision will slightly blur as the adrenaline kicks in ...

Oh god...poor Lara's screwed with me. I'd be so excited at being in that moment I wouldn't know what to do. :D

maybe the first time through ... but it should be intuitive.
for example, what would you do if a flying rock was headed towards your upper body? (crouch a/o roll)
what would you do if a monster is attacking your ankles? (jump a/o shoot to kill)
and stuff like that (but with better imagination) ...

I like the sound of the adrenalin momements, they sound much easier the the AD! Has there been any news on the medipacks recently?

Interesting you should mention the medipacks as the last time I saw a subject on this was way way back. It was rumoured that medipacks weren't going to be included and that Lara would use the environment as a method of healing.

However, if I remember correctly, someone pressed this question to one of Crystal Dynamic's team and they said they hadn't decided on the issue.

Ok, thanks Dr. Willard that was the last I heard. I haven't been online recently due to exams so I thought I may have missed news updates on the medipack front . :)
