(pc version)

i recently aquired just cause as it was cheap and liked the reviews. initial impresions were wow!, the graphics are great, beautiful sunsets, water effects and forests.

however, as soon as i started shooting, the aimming was akward and slow. it needs auto aim like the ones in the consles and the ones on the stationed machine guns. when i rumeged around the settings , there was no options to turn up sensitivity!:mad2:

anyhow, got used to that. i decided to have a little free roam. got in car and as soon as started turning left and right (a&d). the sensitivity is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to high. a little hold on A and the vehicle does a 560 degreese.

got in a boat, boat got stuck. jumped into the water. then it tells me "press so and so button to dive." i pressed the button. it doesnt tell you what button it is to reserface. it took me 5 mins of pressing lots of buttons and 2 windows stick keys pop ups in order to find out which button it was to resurface.

so, got to prison,(first mission). i enter in to the prison and the f*****s dont stop reswarning.youve killed everyone behind you, your on the machine(how all ya weapons should aim). then suddenly someones shooting you, you look behind you only to find about 10 men there, you kill everyone. you go to guy, see a short sceene then you have to take him out the prison. you see about 50 men shooting and grenading you! this isnt the problem, the problem is the person that you trying to save keeps on dieing.as they dont aim for you any more they aim for him and bombard him with grenades. when he dies , you dont go back to when youve rescued him, you go back to before the prison brake in and have to go through 10 min of respwaning men again.

ive had around 4 tries, then it gets sooooooooo repetative, up to the point where you cant be bothered. i didnt buy this game for the gta style brake in missions i bought it for the massive free roaming stunt action.

no first mission, in the history of post 2002 gaming is this hard. yet again, another difficult game by eidos, the people that brought us tomb raider - the hardest series ever, in modern gaming.

too conclude another disapointment, looks like its gonna be gathering dust on my shelf.

This is one of the best games ever created. I admit they should have released a patch. However, I experience only minor issues. If you don't like the game's sensitivity, get a gaming mouse with adjustable DPI.

i agree there are more things to thank eidos for than to moan about.

I too have the PC version. What you describe is what I would see as more of a (and I mean no offence) lack of common sense. Press E to dive. Fine. But would it not occur to you to simply look in settings to find the swim forward button?

Using software that came with your mouse you can up the sensitivity.

And as for you needing auto-aim.... that's ridiculous. The guns have almost no recoil, huge clips that take ages to empty and short reload times, and you need auto-aim?!? :rasp:

Although driving is a bit hard, I think you're exaggerating, or there's something messed up with your keyboard.

In fact, what's the point of this thread? This game came out ages ago, and you're not gonna convince Avalanche to release a patch just by flaming.

Console versions also have serious issues. Hopefully the sequel will adress this.
